Oh to be young again. We didn't ever make it to Europe or England in our travels. Had planned to come to Spain at the time of 9/11 and we canceled it. Now to too oh to travel like that but appreciate your videos that show us how much we have missed and how much beauty is out there. Thank you for your amazing videos I look forward to them.

I visited Meteora in 1999 and so glad I did it then! Loved your video ..... such a beautiful place and some awesome views that I didn't get to see on my tour. You are a lovely couple with the right idea about living your life, take it from a senior who is travelling in her elder years. It would have been so much easier to get to the difficult spots!

All I can say is sure wish I was with you to get to see the Monasteries - were the living quarters for the Nuns actually called nunneries (usually referred to Convents in Italy and the States.) Monks do not have an easy life - there are Monasteries in the USA - very interesting to learn about them too. Oh golly, you are making such good memories for yourselves and to share with your friends and families.......Looking forward to next week's video.....Love you 🤗

It’s odd but as a child I had “memories” for lack of a better word of living in a cave. My mom used to tell me that I was dreaming but the problem w/that is that I was awake. I don’t have those anymore-but seeing these Monasteries, it brought those memories up again.
I could definitely live in Greece! Who knows? Maybe I did! 😉

I'd forgotten how spectacular it is. We're from Australia and went there on our honeymoon In 1986. My husband's parents immigrated from Greece in the early 50's so it was very special to meet his relatives. Thanks for letting me relive it.

And as a greek i suggest you come back and explore more places.. the western Greece such us Aherontas river/Syvota/Parga, the Ionian islands, the Peloponnese peninsula , regions like Zagori with the so many bridges (you will enjoy an incredible hike there) also Dodecanese islands with the hidden gems
We talk about our time in Greece and the memories we have frequently. We will definitely be back one day! Thanks for sharing these places 💙

I’m so glad you enjoyed your time at Meteora! I do have to share my own favorite moment from my visit, as I think you’ll appreciate it :) I was walking through Kalampaka at 5am to catch a train to Athens. I looked up behind me, and all I saw in the pitch black was a single light up on one of the monasteries, and it was such an unexplainably peaceful experience. I thought to myself that moments like that must make it all worth it for the gracious nuns dealing with all the tourists. And I’d forgotten until you had your picnic, that I enjoyed my lunch in one of the monastery gardens one day I was there. Man, my heart is homesick now. Thanks for the great video on so many levels!

Are nd here I thought Greece was all about beautiful white villas with terracotta roofs built on the side of mountains with beautiful sea views. Obviously there is so much more to see. Meteora looks fascinating and the monasteries so interesting. Those rock formations were amazing and views stunning. Thank you for sharing this awesome location lovelies. The scenery you just describe represent the 10% of country's scenes. Greece is way more things than most of people thinking about

I'll tell you one real undiscovered Greece place, it's Epirus region were the Vikos canyon is were there are traditional bridges and stone houses in Zagoroxoria and a nice hike up to the dragon lake on the pindus mountains.
