I love this version so much. Funny how a new arrangement can make a song sound so different and invoke such different emotions compared to the original.

This version of this song hits me in a weird part of the feels. I spent 20 years as a DJ and this song was just a fun bit of fluff to dance to, sample for kicks or just bob your head to. Hearing it, now, as if for the first time, it's like seeing a melancholy rerun of my life. IDK, it's just amazing I am so glad to have heard this.

the first version,& this version, still hold the same timeless meaning for me ; In the early 80’s I had a lover & this was “ our song” , it was so like the both of us at the time.
Our “ day or two”was about three years. And we always knew that we would one day we would “be gone” & change with time; nothing bad happened, no heartache, just life grows and changes , but guess what? 40 years later , we still chat now & then,and we still feel that same connection & the memory of when he took on each other in that time. It’s still so unique special & timeless! Just like this song! Thanks !!

I will always love the original Take On Me, but this version is amazing. The two different versions set two different moods. It's pretty impressive to me that at the age they've become they can still do stuff like this, especially Morten's singing.

If the film has brought a whole new group of fans to realise how great Morten Harket and A-ha are then all I can say is welcome to you from someone who’s been loving them since the start over thirty years ago. You’ve got a lot of catching up to do, so go browsing through their back catalogues of fantastic music and you will realise they are the most underrated band, and you can blame that on the U.S. Music Industry.

This is so beautiful. I'm at once transported to my teen self whilst embracing all I've learned about love and life more than 30 years on.
The original version of this song has been my go-to for trying to express what I wanted. The original video is still one of the most original and thought provoking I've seen. Both sum up the optimism and energy of youth.
Morten Harket has only become more beautiful, his voice richer and sweeter. This video is just as visually stunning as the original and perfectly portrays the ephemeral message of this timeless song.
This gorgeous, haunting version brings maturity and wisdom to yet unfulfilled desires in all of us.

Holy crap - - the subtle nuances that they've implemented into an iconic tune like this, I didn't think they could make the original better. But hold it, perhaps they didn't - - perhaps they redid it, to give those of us whom really LOVE the original, but in a more melancholic state of mind, might not be wanting to go all-in with the pop version & this one, just seems right. Well done Lads! To be honest, my taste in music was much mellower prior to '87. After I went into the Marines, I'd stumbled across this thing called Heavy Metal. Well, it's nice to get back here to my roots in music as well, there's a need for ALL music & genres.
