Omg the nostalgia on the faces of the women singing along in the audience literally gave me chills. The lyrics hit so different when it's done acoustically like this. It feels so sad almost like a goodbye to childhood and all those memories of what you were doing when this song came out. This is just beautiful and so is his voice.

One morning when I was a little girl, I watched my dad take my mom and twirled her on the kitchen floor while this song was playing on the radio.
I came between them and hugged as hard as I could, not wanting to be left out.
So we danced, all three of us, in the sunbeam of the morning.
    It was so perfect.
Now, both of them are gone, but one day, I was with my six year old son and heard this song being played by some street performers while we were out shopping.
I picked him up and and we started dancing to the music.
He was confused at first but then started laughing, but some day, I know I will leave him too, and I hope he will have someone to dance with to this song and remember me as how I remembered my parents

I have always loved this song since the moment I heard it on the radio in the '80s. The upbeat original has been a permanent part of the soundtrack to my life. But, even knowing all the lyrics by heart, I never realized just how beautiful these words actually are till I heard them like this. And, now, I have to hold back tears when I hear it. It's so damn good. It honestly feels like it was always meant to be like this. And now, I love the original even more.

Never thought i would shed a tear to such an upbeat energetic song. It's crazy how a change in key and tempo can totally change the atmosphere of a song. The original is so positive and energetic, yet, to me, this is so melancholic and made the song and lyrics seem more like a valediction. We'll all be gone in a day or two.

Thank you for helping to keep our world turning. We'd all be so hopelessly lost without you. You men, so deserving of so much more, quietly suffering to keep us all going, thank you. I appreciate all of you. I can't and don't want to imagine what my life would be if it weren't for men doing the things that women aren't willing or able to do. This is the most Norwegian dude of all time. He looks amazing (they all look amazing) and is probably a cat doctor or grocery bagger or something now during the daytime. They all gather at night to play A-Ha tunes and to stoke nostalgic fires. And that's enough. That's amazing.

Morten Harket’s hobbies include drawing, painting and cars. Had some movie roles and cameo apperances. But didn't quit music, ever. At the early age of four Morten Harket started writing music and playing piano. Later when the band A-Ha wasn't active he did a lot solo projects and cooperations with other artists. Amazing voice too, capable of "the greatest falsetto in the history of pop music ever""

Hello @MCFCRuss Brown.. very nice words indeed. But to be honest, at least to me it was somehow different than you describe it. I am one of those women watching Morten sing ... ..but what I felt went significantly beyond the nostalgia for a younger self or a teenage crush . What happened there those nights was immense! The atmosphere, the communion between the band & musicians/guest artists, the interaction with the audience, the arrangements, the incredible landscape of Giske and the midnight sun. Sitting there, so far from home, listening to the band you love, I assure you ... it was much more than going back in time. It was about the present: feeling alive and incredibly lucky. And grateful that 2010 was not "the end of the road", as Magne said back then. Had it been so, this version would not have existed.
