      Yep, she's officially become the Female Voight they've been working on this since season 7 as we're seeing it playing out very slowly and last night was the first real sign that she has turned into Voight by not helping him save Sean. The Old Hailey no matter what would've helped Voight save him.

      @@anita6618 Yeah, she's becoming a more colder person especially with Jay gone as she's in a super dark place. This is how Voight was when he lost people in his life. They're basically retelling the story of how Voight became cold through Hailey. In the next storyline it's gonna really show how much she's changed.

    👍🏼I liked this episode and glad it came to a conclusion and not have viewers wait until the next season to complete a cliffhanger. I especially enjoyed seeing more of Voight. He hasn't had very much screen time this season. I was a but surprised of the role reversal of Voight and Upton. Some characters shouldn't change much. Such as the tv show House MD. The shows success was Dr House kept his ornery attitude for each season. I hope writers don't turn Voight into a Choir Boy.

    • @DeathofSnoopy
      @DeathofSnoopy Рік тому +5

      Nah, Hank's just doing what he's always done. Keeping his team (well mainly Hailey and sometimes Jay when he was still around) from crossing the line and becoming like him.
      For example, back in Season 7 he had to send to her to the FBI for a bit to her head on straight.

    • @PredatorKingdom
      @PredatorKingdom Рік тому +3

      @@DeathofSnoopy That's exactly what he's doing as I'm glad you remembered that element from season 7 because this is when Hailey's character started to change. He felt like Hailey out of the whole unit was becoming the most like him so he had her go to New York. At first it was working and then the Roy Walton case happened and that changed everything. Hailey is now not going back to how she used to be as that really messed her as the show has been showing us how she's going through the same change that Voight went through when he was younger. This case and Jay leaving is going to fully transform her into Voight as we saw the first real sign of it yesterday when she did not want to help Voight save Sean's life. I think Hailey is about to go really rogue at some point with Sean and kill him herself without anybody else knowing. It wouldn't surprise me if Voight finds out and helps her cover it just like Roy Walton. They did the Roy Walton case to expose Hailey to Voight's ways and how she can cover crimes in the future.

    This storyline been a beast so far as I love the twist and turns from it. Sean being alive was a huge twist and it changes a lot because Voight kept him alive but I want to know why and Upton turned into Old School Voight as I think this case and Jay leaving her is changing her into a cold and ruthless person. Where I think this case really changes her is because she wants Sean to really go down and she might force something like kill Sean herself. I believe there's a twist coming like that and check this out for the future, I was talking to somebody I know who thinks Upton will shoot and kill Voight whenever he leaves the show. The diffrences between them is getting to her more and more like she can't trust him all the way as this started back in season 7 when Voight wanted Upton to be in New York so that she wouldn't end up like him well she's ending up like him which is Voight's worst nightmare because he doesn't want any of the members of his unit to end up like him because that's what got Al killed.

    I had mixed feelings for this episode. Everyone has the will to change themselves. Everyone is their own person and only they alone control themselves, no one else. This case really got to Hailey because she was more focused on finding those girls. Jay leaving was his choice because the case affected him as well. Voight isn't chasing any of them. Hailey and Hank worked well together even in the scene where they find the girls. Cases like these can affect anybody. Al was very close to Voight so he made the decision to protect him instead of letting him go down. If you watch the series you can see that some people are worth sacrificing it all for. The team has stayed by Voight's side for so long because that was their choice. They are each their own person and only they can prevent themselves from becoming anything lesser than what they are. I still admire Jason Beghe and Hank Voight and how their both evolving and how the team I guess realizes that everyone can be an angel or a demon and that their leader is not perfect or always makes the best decisions but he is the one they need. As Jay once said," everyone changes everyone" and as Jesus Christ once said," love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you and who spitefully use you, for if you only love those who love you, what reward is there in that? The team has forgiven the serge many times and in return he has done things for them like making sure they don't end up like him. Voight makes his decisions because he can. His team only makes the same decisions, not because they are influenced by him, but because they sometimes see things his way regardless of how wrong they are how they hurt or help in the case. They all have a common goal which is to protect the city and citizens of Chicago.
