Wow you got some really terrific information here. I'm hoping you could help me out. As a public celebrity I am looking for the marker that can be used when signing T-shirts or other type of fabric. Looking for one that works smoothly while signing my autograph. Hopefully it will not wash out.
The Staedtler Pens are good for baseballs too if you want a nice marker look and they don't fade like sharpies do, I got Scoot Kingery to sign a baseball 2 years ago on a ball with a Staedtler Pen and it still looks new
Thank you for your insights! I've been a professional athlete on a world level for over 40 years. People are bombarding me to sign T-Shirts and other materials that stretches when signing an autograph. So far, I not found one product that does not pull when using for this purpose. I've spent hours reading and watching videos. I am astounded that no ones mentions any marker that flows over cloth surfaces. The only thing I that come close is a steel rollerball paint marker. IMO, Sharpies are the worse! What are your thoughts?
Great video I’m a big autograph guy as well, I find staedlers are good only if a guy takes his time or has a detailed sig , for a rushed sig sharpies work better I find , cheers
I’m with you my man I only get autographs at spring training or if they are there’s a show You get what you pay for yes going to a show you’re going to pay a premium price for that autograph but you get a much higher quality autograph Then if you run up to someone out of the blue and ask for one
When I use to get autos. On cards I use to use rub baby power on the card then wipe it off. Makes the sharpie stick better on the card. This way you don't get those streaks or spots that the marker does not stick on the card. Or light spots. Just my 2 cents.
Great stuff dear .i want to get autograph of barrack obama ,bryn adams michael jackson and few more including neil armstrong and buzz aldrin. how can i get those as some people are no more. can you guide me tks.
@@mycollectorsbank7139 I was worried about that. I have a serial #'d Jeter chrome refractor that I'm hoping to get signed some day but I don't wanna ruin the surface and destroy the grading
Mycollectorsbank To follow up I went to see the Rome Braves play Saturday night and I brought along some Bic pens. They turned out nice on my ROMLB baseball. 👍

Good advice Jim. Nice video.
Sharpies ink doesn’t fade away or bleed?
Thank you for your insights!

To get a baseball signed, which one do you think is better, a regular pen or a fine tip sharpie?
I would recommend using a ball point pen
how about which type of pen to best use to get autograph on a basketball shoe?
thx in advance!!

You selling that George Brett?
Great video Jim, solid advice for autos. One day you are going to have to do a video on packaging.😀
The filler card idea is a great one

Great video, I know some people who use the Steadler pens on baseballs.
The Staedtler pens are amazing, but I haven’t tried them on cards yet. I’ll have to. Great video, good luck on those big item TTMs
Why aren't these graded?? Even if it is for your own personal collection you should get them graded and authenticated.
Do you seal your autographs?
What would you recommend for a dark colored jersey. I know I silver or chrome would be the ideal color by I heard some brands are better than others.
My thoughts on jersey have changed over the years. I would have to look at the jersey to give a better answer.

Another great video Brotha!!!
What markers are best for autographing nfl jerseys
Why blue sharpie vs. black?
Have you used Staedtler on chrome cards? I've seen some videos of them working beautifully but others showing them bubble
I believe the chrome cards need some prep work when they get signed.

@@noahdecoteau6381 Whenever I have that feeling it is better to not do it.
Hey Jim. I do not have any of those filler cards and was lookin for some. Do you know where I can find some of those? Thanks man.
If your not buying packs. I would suggest your local card shop.
Alright thank you!
What color you use for a jersey
I’ve been waiting for a video like this. Thank you. I’ve seen some people use a Staedtler for baseballs. Your thoughts?
I dont like to use them on baseballs. Blue Bic

That is great.
Great Information Got Value From It Jim.
Good job.
why don't you use marker on baseball ? thanks
It will fade and bleed into the ball after a year or so. Always use Ball point pen, preferably blue.
Markers will bleed or fade over time in my opinion
