Well done Cole, I was the lone supporter just before the 9 Mile mark, not an official Marshal but encouraging everyone running along the Pilgrims Way bit and saw you again when you ran with your Mum, well done to you and your family, great stuff
My favorite pre-race songs: "Sweet Caroline" - Neil Diamond "The Distance" - Cake "I get up" - INXS "I won't back down" - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
😊Cole, you're an inspiration and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The main focus point is doing what you want to do. If that be an elite runner then you're already there. If it's something different don't stress it. Do you mate. But appreciate and love your videos regardless.
Thanks Josh, struggling with this injury atm And I think it’s gonna force me to take some rest as much as I’ve tried to fight it. Definitely wish I enjoyed running on its own, rather than the time attachments too!
Well done great run. Be sensible with recovery now mate. 10 good weeks of 60 miles and gym is Better than 3 weeks of insane training of 100 miles then injured for 6 or 7 weeks! Good stuff.
Congrats on a great time and first place finish. That is a lot of money too (I converted it to USD to get an idea). Some of the big races have cash prizes but we are talking really large races. Most local races do not. I do one in the summer here that offers $20 for first in your age group and I think $100 for first overall. It is nice to get a few bucks back for your work. Nice to see your family involved as well. Well done Cole!
Congratulations Cole, excellent run and an excellent race recap, not messy at all, spot on, really pleased for you. Hope the hamstring continues to improve and like your plan to race more frequently and not solely focus on specific races, i think that it will ease the mental pressure and the upside we will get to see more race videos, 😊
May I get some advice? If I'm training for a 5k road race, but I want to train some track intervals, should I practice in spikes? Even if I'm faster in spikes on track, does that TRAINING translate to road race speed in road shoes? Thanks.
I generally don’t do anything over 2k volume in spikes just because I find it’s too much on my calves. But I would say start off small, e.g. just one short rep, and gradually increase it over weeks to months
@@ColeRunning I was just kidding… 🥵I have to concede today. No matter how hard I train, there is no way in my life I can break 54 minutes in 10 miles. 🤣………. So …… C’MON COLE !!!

Cheers Dave! Appreciated the support for sure! Gotta go back and help mum in the final miles!
Well done 🎉

Mad how quickly I changed up haha. Plan is to actually save it or put towards my Portugal training camp in April!
@@ColeRunning I loved the old Portugal vlogs! (especially when my comments featured)
Well done mate! Smashed that,
Hype song: Chase & Status Baddadan
Oooo I dunno about that one 🤣 cheers mate!

Oh nice! Thanks I’ll give those a listen!

C'mon Coleee!! Congratulations on the win! 🎉🎊🏆
What about 'Jim Yosef - Checkered'... You may know it as the Kofuzi "Yo, what's going on?" song.
...of course there's always Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger
Haha yes the classics! Thanks Steven! I’m more of a classic music guy to get hyped!

Thanks mate, I’ll try and take that on board!
Well done great win Cole 👏💯
That guy who ran across the start at the beginning😂🤣. I find movie soundtracks the best to listen to- especially interstellar or Oppenheimer.
Haha pedestrians never look! 🤦🏻♂️ yesss! The Oppenheimer soundtrack is 👌🏻!
Well done Cole! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it :)

Yeah exactly! It’s not that common these days understandably! Still a nice surprise to get a bit of cash :)
Mint climbing wall / modern art at that leisure centre 👍
Canterbury Christ Church, I used to go to school next to it so I got to use the sportshall(s). Great facilities!
C'mon Cole! Great running 👍
Thanks Mike! 😁
Well done super run
Hello cole, can you review on Hoka Cielo X1? THANKS LOCE UR VIDEO

Thanks Jen! I used to race all the time, and absolutely loved it! I want that feeling back!
Nicely done. Take care.
Thanks, you too!
Well done Cole. It's a great race and I liked the new route. Was my 10th consecutive year, so nice to have a bit of change
10 years on the trot?? Crikey! Thats good going!
Great result can only imagine what it feels like to win a race!
I wish I could bottle the feeling! The novelty will never wear off :)
Well done Cole, get it going you are flying it! if you can run this fast carrying an injury think how fast you can be when you are 100%
Thanks Deano! I had to have another ultrasound today (had one last week too but the sonographer lost my scan 😂). Hopefully it’s nothing serious!!
@@ColeRunning hopefully man, fingers crossed! any marathons planned?
I thought I was the only one to get pumped by some Oppenheimer! If you haven't already the Dark Knight is another one to really get you going :)
I haven’t tried that soundtrack! I’ll have to give it a go, thanks for the recommendation!
Reclaiming the title once again 💪
2 in a row! Let’s make it a hat trick next year!!
amazing vid! good to see a video filmed in my town lol
Canterbury is a fantastic place!
Congratulations
Hi Cole. Do you fuel during a 10 mile run (race)? At that effort I think I'd manage around 40 mins tops before running out of juice.
I do not no :) the body can easily store 60 minutes of glycogen so I don’t fuel for anything under that 😁 (other than breakfast etc)
Take the money & run 🎉
Think I had to run first before I could take the money! 🤣
Defo will be trying Oppenheimer. How about Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds on a dark night?
Now you’re talking my dad’s language! I’ll give it a listen!!
Great race dude!! Out of curiosity what camera and editing software do you use?
Cameras: Canon G7x MKii, GoPro Hero 8, Insta360 Go2
Editing: DaVinci resolve! 😁

@@ColeRunning so spikes will be part of your training regimen for a road race? Then I’m assuming mostly just speed work… what kind?
Well done mate💪🏼💪🏼
Thank you 🙌
At the moment I am listening to Kiasmos and Emancipator while running.
Oh cool! I haven’t heard of either of those!
@@ColeRunning With Emancipator I would start with his first two albums: Soon It Will Be Cold Enough, Safe in the Steep Cliffs
Are the Hoka your first first choice nowadays then?
Rocket X2’s are my favourite race shoe at the moment yes!
How comes you support Leeds football club?
My uncle 😁
Well done !! You won’t be champion next year when I will compete in 2025. 😊 I can’t wait to cash in $150.
I look forward to a battle! 😄
