Been needing some guidance on this. Every time I've trimmed my beard in the past, I instantly regret it and complain profusely to my wife. Now I've got some much needed direction. Thank you!
Personally if I had his face shape I would bring the line up closer to his jaw, by him having it low like that make his face look round. If you were to bring it up higher it would bring out his jawline.
Yeah easy when you have someone to do it for you as this does not happen in the bathroom mirror. My face hair turned from beard to weird in 10mins trying.
Thanks!! Fiancé doesn’t know it yet but I’m gonna trim his. We’re 25 and it’s taken him 4 years now to start growing an actual full beard. He just needs some upkeep but refuses to do it. So again thank you!
Hey, we're glad to hear it! This video is about a year old, so be sure to check out some of our more updated content so you can give him the best trim possible! Let us know how it goes! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Really informative video, thank you. I just turned 30 and have never even tried or considered some type of facial hair before now. I’m going on three weeks with no shaving and just going to see if it’s possible for me to grow something.
Trimming my back line, on my own beard, is forever a challenge for me. lol Can't really see unless I hold a hand-held mirror and use that and the bathroom mirror to see back there... but then trying to get my trimmer hand to work properly when everything is flipped around in the mirror is like a bad dream. LOL
I for the most part already know how to trim my beard, mainly at particular lengths. But I've gained some extra tips from this video as its really well laid out and informative. So thank you brother. I look forward to seeing your video on how to trim a moustache as that one i really do struggle with...
I am growing my beard very first time and I have same beard as this man have Like some patchy hair and faint beard but it gives me confidence that I can also grow a beard.. This video is very helpful.. Thanks. Love from India ❤
This ended up being super helpful for a first time beard grower. Mine basically looked just like his and I wasn't sure how to clean it up, especially on the underside of the chin, since I have that extra length there as well. +1 thumb up!
Excellent video, I am still scared to shave my beard myself, and my girlfriend isn't confident in doing so either. Maybe I'll get her to watch this and gain some courage to do it. My beard has been growing wild for about 6 months and needs some love.
I am just at the six week mark of growing my first "real" beard in 56 years😀. Thanks for this buddy I have learned a little more ...I have been binge watching for tips on beard trimming😂😂
Great video and great tips. Although I might say the lighting is really bad when you are filming. So maybe you could do some better lighting but other than that it was awesome
Yes ... Ive found my beard match ...Chin is slower and neck is a lil bit faster .. yehahh ... Im in my 12 th week of growing out a beard .. Tomorrow im gonna trim down that fast guy so that my chin can catch up
Thanks for this video. My goal is the "box" look and my neck grows like his does. I just trimmed mine using the same method and it looks much better. Really scary doing it the first time myself but at least I know it will grow back, lol
It's not that it grows faster under the chin it's just that it's lower. Some people lower the neckline as the beard grows or it could be trimmed like he does in this video. Regardless it's definitely a good tutorial.
we have our own Live Bearded trimmer called the MT-1! Multiple RPM settings, digital screen on the front and longer battery life than any other trimmer on the market! Check it out here! - livebearded.com/collections/accessories/products/beard-trimmer
Yes, I believe that is the one. I have the Wahl Aqua Blade Trimmer which is similar. Main difference is mine is a wet/dry trimmer. It has a long blade, which is great! The blade is factory set at 0.2mm, which is perfect for cleaning up cheek and necklines. I maintain a short stubble. I’ve tried the Andis Slimline Pro Li Trimmer and gapped it close to zero, but that was too close for comfort to be honest. Decent trimmer, but the blade is relatively short and the unit is loud.
if you have a medicine cabinet mirror that can open, you can use that to see sideways along your face. Or a small handheld mirror with your bathroom mirror!
Brief, to the point instruction. Fantastic video 👏 👏 Much better than some of the long, drawn out videos I’ve seen that leave me feeling kinda confused 😐 ⭐️Kudos
Great Vid! I have a question when growing my beard, my left side grows down and my right side grows back towards my ear. Do I need to brush in the direction it goes or what?
@@livebearded I have exactly the same question. After 100+ days of untrimmed growth, I am going for my first pro barber trim tomorrow. I will send an email as well.
Cats that have only had beads since UA-cam came out have it easy, I learned all of this on my own years ago with a ton of trial and Error so many times I had to shave it off and wear a goatee or just clean shave and start over I have been rocking the full beard since 94 the pic in my icon is about 10 years old and my first attempt at a beard fade a few years before that even became a thing lol but I had the idea and tried. Great video dude.
You got a great stache gowing there. My uncle waxes and curls his at the ends. Looks awesome. My mustache and beard have pattern graying. I actually like this. I do not intend to color it. At my 55 years of age I think it looks fine.

Thanks for the info on beard shaping I too have heavier wieght under my neck tends to grow faster than chin .Look foward to how to shape a big mustache as mine is getting huge lol
@@livebearded Thank you for the help, I have just started growing it out ( 2 month's ) so it is quite short . I am looking forward to getting it full length but unsure the time it will take.
Go at least 2 more months without touching it bro. The first few are always the most difficult. Allowing yourself time for the dormant hair follicles to push through is key! We always suggest growing at minimum 4 months in the beginning with no trimming at all.
Sounds like you're off to a good start. Make sure to read the ingredients in your oil and double check that they are all natural so they don't harm your skin or beard.
I've gray hair more on right side than the left. What can I do to even out the color on both side.Is hair dye my only option is there a dye pencil or spray to even out the color.

Legend has it that Justin, with a beard down to his knees, is still standing there, silent and motionless, to this very day.
This guy reminds me
Of my Labrador when my shitzu is constantly jumping
On him and annoying him yet he sits with perfect composure and just takes it

This dude has my beard growth style, really refreshing to see someone in a vid with thin cheeks and similar side flare
Yeah it seems the main growth I have is on the neck! Glad this was able to help you! Always here to support you!

Good advice bro. Thanks for the tip!
