    DESCRIPTION:
Shaping a beard can make all the difference in the world. Not only will it look cleaner, but if done right it can give you added fullness. But understanding how to shape a beard can be difficult. Deciding where to trim your lines can be tricky the first time, so Spencer walks you through exactly how to shape a beard and where to trim your top, back and neck lines.
How to shape a beard: Top line
This line should be trimmed in to connect your sideburn to your mustache. Focus to keep this line as high as naturally possible.
How to shape a beard: Back line
This line is the line that runs off the back of your sideburn to the bottom, back corner of your jawline. You want to keep this natural-looking by trimming away any hairs that grow too far back towards the back of your neck.
How to trim a beard: Neckline
This line is most often gone wrong! You want to trim your beard where your head connects to your neck, not your jawline. The extra hairs on your neck will be the foundation for your thick full beard as it grows out.

Personally if I had his face shape I would bring the line up closer to his jaw, by him having it low like that make his face look round. If you were to bring it up higher it would bring out his jawline.

    • @Adamas11
      @Adamas11 5 років тому

Yes, I believe that is the one. I have the Wahl Aqua Blade Trimmer which is similar. Main difference is mine is a wet/dry trimmer. It has a long blade, which is great! The blade is factory set at 0.2mm, which is perfect for cleaning up cheek and necklines. I maintain a short stubble. I’ve tried the Andis Slimline Pro Li Trimmer and gapped it close to zero, but that was too close for comfort to be honest. Decent trimmer, but the blade is relatively short and the unit is loud.

Cats that have only had beads since UA-cam came out have it easy, I learned all of this on my own years ago with a ton of trial and Error so many times I had to shave it off and wear a goatee or just clean shave and start over I have been rocking the full beard since 94 the pic in my icon is about 10 years old and my first attempt at a beard fade a few years before that even became a thing lol but I had the idea and tried. Great video dude.

Darragh Delaney andis slimline pro li are some great cordless trimmers for beard maintenance nice sharp blades but very forgiving on the skin and the charge last a long time

I have the Brio Beardscape and Hair Trimmer. Pretty happy with it, awesome battery life, good weight to it, clean trimming, hardly any tugging.

Hey what's up brother? How short exactly? This is considered a short beard to most.

Excellent video, I am still scared to shave my beard myself, and my girlfriend isn't confident in doing so either. Maybe I'll get her to watch this and gain some courage to do it. My beard has been growing wild for about 6 months and needs some love.

Anyone know how to get one side to fill in more because for me my left side grows better than my right for some reason I have what looks like bald spots on right side any tips would be nice. This is the second time I am trying out a beard last year I tried it out for the first time I kept it for 7 months before I shaved it only because I messed it up. Now I want to try it again and right now my left side is filled in more than my right side. I just want some tips that someone could give me. I thought I liked a shaved look but I see that having a beard looks cool to me I just want a short beard one that blends in with my hair when I have a hair cut if that makes sense to anyone.

You got a great stache gowing there. My uncle waxes and curls his at the ends. Looks awesome. My mustache and beard have pattern graying. I actually like this. I do not intend to color it. At my 55 years of age I think it looks fine.

How long does it takes for your mustache?

It depends on your genetics. Spencers took about 12 months or so!
