  • In this week's episode of "One man and his boat", we are looking at fitting the last of the electric bilge pumps, and we are looking at the grey water pump, a Whale 320.
    we are also, doing a little earthing of the Shaft..... But as usual, with GRAND Scottish weather, do we get these task's complete?

    It’s all coming along nice. Probably best you’re still building at the moment as it looks like all the buyers are shutting up shop for the next couple of months until the French and Spanish start buying again.

    What sort of plastic is the pump mount plate, acrylic resin based bedding compounds, as well as epoxy ones will not reliably stick to nylon, nylotron, ptfe, delrin, polypropaline or HDPE etc, may appear to be stuck, but will have no shock loading strength. Hope that isn't bad news. Still enjoying watching your journey so please keep in up.

      Hi Neil, I'm not sure what kind of plastic it is bud.
      It was given to me by a friend. And it was the ideal height for the application.
      Thank you for you're in put, I'll keep an eye on it, and if it fails, I'll let you know.
      It does seem pritty Solid just now, but like you say, that's with out vibration and movement of the boat.
      I guess time will tell.😂😂😂😂😂😂
      Thank you for your comment bud, and I'm glad you enjoyed the episode.
      All the best. Baz 😉👍

      @@onemanandhisboat Maybe glue a spare bit down to something and leave for a month, then clout it, as its shock loading that will the problem. Forwarned is forewarned

      @@neil1150 we'll see how it does pal, put it this way, it better do, as the float switches are bounded the same way!😂😂😂😂😂

    Are you going to be making some fishing videos when you have her finished barry?

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  4 роки тому +3

      Absolutely!....that is whole point of our channel, it to show the folks that don't know much about fishing (or even folks that do), on what a small business has to go through to get to sea.....that includes all the fun and action at sea!🌊🌊🌊 ( once we get there!)
      We have a whole list of ideas for episode's, after the launch.😉👍
      I hoped you enjoyed the episode.
      All the best. Baz 😉👍

      Glad to hear it. I was trying to get started on the weather coast of ireland but the costs were crazy

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  4 роки тому +1

      Yup, the costs are absolutely ridiculous, we are up to £80k to date, but that includes, the boat, fishing licence & gear...and we are still not finished yet.🙁👎
      The Government should be making it easier for folks to start, not harder, but prices are rising all the time unfortunately.

      @@onemanandhisboat good day there Barry, from an outsiders point of view, we can see money pooing in along side your mamouth effort. As a layman I am concerned for the effect the. BREXIT. (deal). Will have for you? and the guys in the harbour. Great respect.

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah Les, your absolutely right, about the brexit....however just like bauldrick, from Blackadder..... I have a cunning plan!😂😂😂😂😂
      It was also one of the reasons why we started this journey in the 1st place....smaller boat, cheaper to keep....already we have halved our harbour dues, and insurance from the Rockhopper. 😉👍
