It's likely a Class D power amplifier. There's standard boards nowadays that can deliver like 100 watts, that could easily fit on that pedal. By the way, I want to clarify that Class D does not stand for "Digital". The D is just the next letter on the orded of different Classes of amplifier (A, AB, C, etc). What it actually does is control the amplifying components to turn on or off at certain points VERY quickly, as to achieve higher efficiency between power delivered by the power supply, and power sent to the speaker, which in Class D amplifiers is between 80% and 90%. So if your power supply is 15 Watts, you could easily power a 10 watt Class D amp without stressing the power supply! You could technically even use Tubes in a Class D design, as the class itself doesn't limit what type of device can be used, it's just a different way to use it.
3:35 NOTHING is worth losing your hearing over. Once you start to lose it, you will continue losing it, and there is nothing you can do to get it back. You won't notice you're losing it right away either. Could be many years before noticeable damage occurs. So take care of you hearing! As musicians, it's THE most important physiological function we rely on. Don't be a tool.
I picked up a Brown Sound 3 few weeks ago, and people were saying to run it into your FX loop for best results. I have a Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 watt, and it sounds like ass in the FX loop. So i tried it in the front of the amp on the clean channel... Man did this thing come alive, it even sounded better adding the cabinet sim the pedal has. Now i am using this setup all the time, sounds great, has great cleans, and the crunch is very good. Can't recommend this pedal enough.
Sounds great. Please let me know when you figure out how to leave the four speaker cabinet at home and can carry the entire set-up in a backpack. Then I'll really be stoked!
They sound pretty damn good for the price. I wonder what the power amp would sound like with something like the JHS color box in front though. Also, just were the ear protection. As someone with very mild tinnitus, I can tell you its something that you don't want.
Kinda cool little rig. Interesting to think about the idea of a small pedal board that had your “must-have” pedals and the pre and power amp all on it. Just plug into a cab and go. Cool.
I wouldn't use it as a main rig, but for most working musicians this would be really handy for a backup amp. Could also be good for musicians who have to take public transit to gigs and want to keep things minimal.
Correct me if I"m wrong but the 005 is actually 2 channels. The Blue Channel is the clean drive side and if you hit the blue button it goes to red for the heavier distortion side, and you can save all the settings for each. So you can kick it back and forth.Oh and the BabyBomb is the shit, I have it with a Mooer Preamp Live, those together are deadly if you want the smallest band room practice rig without having to cart your head around. I use a 2x12 Mesa cab with it. But just got an H&K 1x12 with the treble-blocker installed and it has a v30 in it.
I got one finally, and it sounds great with 1x12 or 2x12 cabs. 4x12 cabs, not so much. You can't get the volume, and the overall sound changes. I run the Mooer 002 with it, and it does not sound good in a 4x12. Not sure if it's the lack of Ohm settings, or what, BUT, I've been using the setup with a 1x12 Mesa cab at band practice, and it totally keeps up with the band!
I would definitely begin wearing ear protection, especially while you're still young. Think about all the older guitar players who are mostly deaf now due to exposure to extreme volume over the years. Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, Paul Gilbert (who actually has to wear hearing aids now!), Ted Nugent, Neil Young, even Chris Martin of Coldplay. Oh, you should also try the 5050 on the RED channel for some real VH tones!
Of couse, if it hadn't been for the New York alien invasion as seen in Avengers #1 we would not have these great little alien tech guitar amps. Every cloud has a silver lining.
In just checked the prices on Ali express. In Canada the 2 combined pedals, preamp and amp would cost about $235 can. For that price you can get an amp WITH a speaker. I order the 006 preamp for use plugged in directly Into a PA.
You could use the Mooer radar too on top of the baby bomb. Its a cab sim with tons of tweakable options and you can even use your own impulse reslonses and eq it all.
Russian company AMT was earlier they have pedal sized 3w power amps and jfet preamps representing different amps( marshal peavey mesa bogner etc) and in my opinion they sound better
I have the same set up , a Mooer UK Gold ( Marshall JCM900) Micro Preamp + Baby Bomb going into a 12 inch Sheffield Speaker Cab. Its damn loud !!! Mooer says its a 30 watt raw power amp .....I think it pushes double that from my experience . Its Holy Crap LOUD !!
I'll make a guess that the 30 watt power amp is based on a Tripath "Class T" (really Class D) amplifier chip. I've used them for projects not intended to fill more than one normal room in a house with sound, but usually in the 15 watt rating. The 30 watt version would appear to simply be the same circuit, but rated to handle a 24V power input rather than a 12V input. Whatever drove Tripath out of business, it wasn't the quality of their amplifier chips.
Phil McKnight says "Know your gear Tyler" ...At the 3:10 mark you said its plugged into a 412 cab...and clearly you have a 410 cab with G10 Greenbacks. 😜 Gotcha.
Not to be 'That Guy(TM),' but you can find uncased, premade mono (and multi-channel) amplifier boards for real cheap - and they're all about that size. I am currently using a 7W board I found on Amazon for $8, and it's probably going in a similar sized housing. Looking at for a equally cheap preamp to make a two-stage amp with crunchy overdrive and stuff it into a larger pedal housing. That isn't to say this amp isn't well made or a bad option at all, just that size isn't really that much of a factor anymore. People have gone gaga over the Orange micros and Bantamps so on for a while, and they're pretty damn nice, but I haven't really understood why the size is the impressive thing about them...
Put that Baby Bomb on 1 oclock ( you will need earplugs ) and clean channel on the preamp and it has a natural beautiful overdrive but again protect your ears !!
Sounds good. You still have to carry a speaker with you so I really don't see the need for this tiny amp. This would not have helped you while in school because although you wouldn't have had to carry your 50 lb combo amp, you would still have to carry a speaker box of some kind. I'm also sure the psu has to be a little bigger than normal. I'll stick with my blackstar. Great practice amp. I even use it giging on the street and for small shows. Thanks for sharing the product.
Mooer also makes a cab emulator called the Radar. So with all three then you wouldn’t need a head or a cab, just a pair of headphones or another aux output
I guess depends on where he's lugging it. The rehearsal rooms I use are stocked with cabs of all sizes already. So taking something like this, or a micro head, starts to be really handy.
With so many lightweight options these days I’m confused about when they say class a b or class d or whatever. Will you do a video on what those mean and what difference it might make for someone looking to switch over to a solid state option over lugging around a super heavy tube amp?
Can anyone explain why music is wins‘fretboard Friday’ has never sent me a confirmation, message or any correspondence. I went process 4 Times now and it say check emails for confirmation. Empty. I let Tyler know about it- no response. I see many others are having same problem. As far as I can tell no one has gotten a reply from music is win or Tyler. Does it need to be purchased? Bit more than frustrated. Could someone cover Tyler’s slack and let’s know or should we just move on? Help
Does the Baby Bomb stay clean all the way up to max volume? Sometimes it might be necessary to turn it full up on a bigger stage. Yes I'm probably asking too much of such a small amp, but I'm very lazy and don't like carrying heavy stuff.
Hi, great demo! Want to ask question here, what is your routing setup here? Guitar - Effects - Mixer/Soundcard? Or Guitar - Effects - Amp? Because when using the Guitar - Effects - Mixer setup, I got a super noise sound. Does it need a DI? Or can it be direct just like that? Thanks 🙏🏻
Tyler, you forgot to switch the amp setting from warm to bright! But the warm setting sounds amazing. I have the Pitch Box by Mooer but it hasn't made it's way onto my board yet. How about a shootout between the SUB N Up/Pog/Pitchbox??
yngwiescott, I'll take a look at it. My bass player was using this pedal but gave it to me because it just didn't track the lower frequencies very well. I need to try and play with it some to see if its worth keeping. All their pedals are pretty inexpensive though.
Hey Tyler, I doubt you're even going to see this but where do you find the songs you play in your videos? They all sound like songs I would like to learn and SHRED TO (lol i cant shred for my life but i want to learn) but I can't find any songs like that. Where do you find them?
A variation of little wing and some progressive chords haha. Coolest intro tyler!!!!! That little amp sounded gorgeous. Itd be cool if the company of that product made a tone from the 60s. Also british tones. Love the sound anyways.
30w in that size. where is the heat going? because there is not much space for heat sink?it is going into the case is the case as heat sink, or is class d amp?
One question, cause I'm not sure here: is this set loud enough to get through a live drummer? I'm asking cause I suddenly need something portable to plug into a 2x12 or 4x12. Any thoughts?
This and the E-Harmonix and Quilter...all within the same price range...Think the Quilter has the edge for a few bucks more....and better tone controls! But it is all based on your budget and what you are trying to accomplish! Amazing how SS has grown since the earlier years.
Evilwhiteclownpunk yes you set up two of the brown sounds in a row max the gain put that through a metal zone, then finally plug into a canister filled with angry wasps.
4:46 when your pick gets inside your acoustic guitar
Lmao haha
Gosh he liked it.
This amp is smaller than my self esteem
*bigger
Subbed to you both lol
Sarthak Nepal hi there, friend... glad you like 'em!
GraysonTC thanks buddy... you're definitely one of my first 5 subscribers. Cheers!
Didn't expect Mick Thompson to say so
Is that even possible?
Crunchy 80's feel
Me: Fuck yeah he's going to play some old-school thrash
Him:*Plays random shit*
This rig is seriously impressive. Great fly-rig / travel rig /band practice rig!
Next play the $1 guitar through the smallest amp
Jamsville but you cant
Jamsville That can't happen
Just put a microphone on it
Jamsville That's not how a guitar amp works
Sure it is, you plug the microphone in to a small mixer, with a line out going in to the amp.

Tubes would be too lossy for class D as class D usually uses ultra low turn on resistance FET's to achieve 90+% efficiency.
Your gear demos can’t be trusted. You make ANYTHING sound good with your playing.
You make anything sound good
>"And switch this power amp from warm to bright"
>Forgot to do that
My nerves are itching
Mooer & Joyo are owning the non-professional guitar gear market!
And to quote EVH, "If it sounds good, it is good".
sounds pretty good on the strat
You not using a PRS... Are you Ok?
I know was a joke :)
It's spelled okay you muppet. Why did you capitalize the O?
FunkyDrummer it has been spelled OK longer than okay.
What's up with all the hate speech? Damn
orlock20 calm it dude. There is no definite way to spell it

think most if not all guitar players got some sort of tinnitus, tho yeah its smart to wear ear protection
You see Ty, I've always believed that tone is in the fingers And you're awesome!!
DAMN 30 Watts is a lot for that little guy !
Chris Arias 30 watts at 9 volt = 3 amp .... need a big power supply.....
The supply is 24V 2A. It is a class D design so very efficient.
Nigel Slater 30W÷(24V×2A)=62.5% efficiency. That's very low for a class D amplifier. They may be using class AB.
Randy Lott they're using a TPA3118 chip from what I've read.
My Marshall half stack is half that
Kinda cool little rig. Interesting to think about the idea of a small pedal board that had your “must-have” pedals and the pre and power amp all on it. Just plug into a cab and go. Cool.
How is the fine control of the volume? Does it go from faint to overwhelming in a nanometer touch?
I know this reply is two years late, but yeah, that is basically it. From nothing to ear splitting at a fraction of a touch
@@BryanTheBand No worries. Thanks!
Ive own the *Mooer*_Micro Preamp_ Fifty Fifty 3 aka 5150 for half a year.
All I can say its f**king amazing.
Small but savage.
I wouldn't use it as a main rig, but for most working musicians this would be really handy for a backup amp. Could also be good for musicians who have to take public transit to gigs and want to keep things minimal.

this is just like the EHX 44 magnum. Moore is making excellent sounding gear at a good price point.
nice review dude!

Ehx did the magnum 22 & 44 ages ago. Good pedals.

greetings from colombia tayler love what you've built here keep doing awesome
In just checked the prices on Ali express. In Canada the 2 combined pedals, preamp and amp would cost about $235 can. For that price you can get an amp WITH a speaker. I order the 006 preamp for use plugged in directly Into a PA.
$235 wont get you a 30 watt amp this small or as good sounding...
Just weird way to see the fx loop that way!!!! But really fun to see something that is not the usual set-up!! Good job on this one!!!
Amazing, great tiny amp and great review Tyler. I love your channel pal. Greetings from Chile
Those mini plugs destroy ur pedals bro:(
*fun fact:*
*This amp was made for the smurfs*
Aarij Imam Yeah, don't you know the Papa Smurf Signature Amp? 😁😁
Hobbits rock!
You could use the Mooer radar too on top of the baby bomb. Its a cab sim with tons of tweakable options and you can even use your own impulse reslonses and eq it all.
no you cannot. after the preamp you can use the baby bomb and a real cabinet, or instead the Radar cab simulator and mixer/PA/audio interface
The 008 preamp is sweet as well. It sounds really good for recording. I have a demo on my channel if you want to see more of the micro preamps
Russian company AMT was earlier
they have pedal sized 3w power amps and jfet preamps representing different amps( marshal peavey mesa bogner etc) and in my opinion they sound better

4-12 cab but shows a 4-10 ?

To stop the noise ground it to a screw one the bottom and run a wire to the ground on the plug the 3 prong it will work sound better
Great review! Cool option for a quick set up / fly date rig.
Hey dude! I'm a big fan, cheers from brazil!
love your channel man
i have a bit of a Mooer obsession at the moment lol. they make some good shit
Sounds good. You still have to carry a speaker with you so I really don't see the need for this tiny amp. 52 weeks of music blog do you have a fly3? me too man I love mine
Mooer also makes a cab emulator called the Radar. So with all three then you wouldn’t need a head or a cab, just a pair of headphones or another aux output
This is your ultimate back up amp. Tiny, powerful, sounds good, fits on the pedal board.
I guess depends on where he's lugging it. The rehearsal rooms I use are stocked with cabs of all sizes already. So taking something like this, or a micro head, starts to be really handy.
Chris Franklyn That's awesome about the space. I don't have anything like that here. It's a cool little thing.
Can I use an amp sim pedal like the Boss BC-2 as a preamp, or does it NEED to be a mooer preamp?
Electronic wizardry at it's tiniest - genius!
With so many lightweight options these days I’m confused about when they say class a b or class d or whatever. Will you do a video on what those mean and what difference it might make for someone looking to switch over to a solid state option over lugging around a super heavy tube amp?
Great demo I’m almost sold
Still bigger than the brain of a bass player
A random Bassist *wrong channel*
A random Bassist rekt
Lmao sixty likes that’s higher than my iq level damn
victor wooten begs to differ
Wrong. Cliff Burton. Enouh said
I have the 44 magnum from EHX and it's the size of a pedal. It kicks ass! plus 44 watts not 30 watts.
and a 24v 2 amp power supply = 48 watts max x .85 (best real amp efficiency)= 40.8 watts...I don't have 1 to test yet but I bet it isn't 44 watts RMS.
There's a certain harshness to it all, isn't there?
But it just maybe termed aggressive n makes a lot of guitarisers happy.
Jimi is smiling from wherever he is :')
is it me or is there no tightness to the tone? when playing clean, sounded fuzzy. is that typical of class D or is there not enough power?
Tyler is like my elder guitar Brother.
He's amazing
005 has 2 channels. Why you did not use the hotter one?
6:05 Tyler pushes the #epic button and unleashes his guitar superpowers!
This video was oddly fucking relaxing
Tyler is the Bob Ross of gear demos. "...and we'll just put in a happy little lead right here..."
How did they get 2 EL84s and 3 12AX7s into that little box. Amazing!
Man I love these tiny fly rigs that don't require amps.
love to hear you playing aint talking about love :D
I LOVE CASTLES MADE OF SAND THANK YOUUU
I'm curious how valve preamp pedals would sound through the baby bomb.
Help
Okay so my set up is too dry
I use ADA speaker simulater
Shoud i use pre amp insted?
Thanks a lot!
All of the pictures showed a 4x10 cab? So what's up?
What is this? An amp for ants?
Velinite how many people quote Zoolander?😂
what good is an amp if the children can't even fit inside it?
I have to say, Baby Bomb is WIN !!
Amazing!! Great tone !!
AMEN!!!
Does the Baby Bomb stay clean all the way up to max volume? Sometimes it might be necessary to turn it full up on a bigger stage. Yes I'm probably asking too much of such a small amp, but I'm very lazy and don't like carrying heavy stuff.
Liked in the intro, exactly... Why not!!!!!!🔥🤘✌️
Hi, great demo!
Want to ask question here, what is your routing setup here?
Guitar - Effects - Mixer/Soundcard?
Or
Guitar - Effects - Amp?
Because when using the Guitar - Effects - Mixer setup, I got a super noise sound. Does it need a DI? Or can it be direct just like that?
Thanks 🙏🏻
Just curious do you still use this little Mooer amp head ?
What do you think about it 5 years later ?
TY
Beautiful guitar!
2:35 you found the brown note?
Tyler, you forgot to switch the amp setting from warm to bright! But the warm setting sounds amazing. I have the Pitch Box by Mooer but it hasn't made it's way onto my board yet. How about a shootout between the SUB N Up/Pog/Pitchbox??
yngwiescott, I'll take a look at it. My bass player was using this pedal but gave it to me because it just didn't track the lower frequencies very well. I need to try and play with it some to see if its worth keeping. All their pedals are pretty inexpensive though.
How bulky is the the 24v supply?
Amp seems amazing. Great demo!
Looks like a laptop pwr supply
Hey Tyler, I doubt you're even going to see this but where do you find the songs you play in your videos? They all sound like songs I would like to learn and SHRED TO (lol i cant shred for my life but i want to learn) but I can't find any songs like that. Where do you find them?
A variation of little wing and some progressive chords haha. Coolest intro tyler!!!!! That little amp sounded gorgeous.
Itd be cool if the company of that product made a tone from the 60s. Also british tones. Love the sound anyways.
Psychedelic Electric Juice that was castles made of sand
Have you done a video on an ampoids?
30w in that size. where is the heat going? because there is not much space for heat sink?it is going into the case is the case as heat sink, or is class d amp?
Class D very little heat dissipation.
Cool...maybe...but it's no Baroni Lab mini amp. I LOVE my BARONI LAB Custom 50 !!!
Nice! I wonder how the baby bomb compares to the EH .44 magnum or .22 cal
Do they have a Line 6 Spyder version of the preamp part???
Evilwhiteclownpunk yes you set up two of the brown sounds in a row max the gain put that through a metal zone, then finally plug into a canister filled with angry wasps.
kenconify ALL THE GAIN
Check out the Mooer Preamp Live
Sounds damn great!
can this pedal be daisy chained together to create more watts?
No
How many tubes does each one have?
4 by 12 or 4 by 10 (like it is written on the cabinet and and the 🔊 ??
John CUENI yeah I thought the same thing too, think he just mis-spoke
Ian Flogerzi , it sounds great anyways !!
Can the amp sim be with a guitar amp combo?
Nice video ! I would definitely buy it .
what was that song called? at the beginning and at 4:46
In the beginning its castles made of sand by hendrix great song
Lmao gonna be expecting this for Christmas since I’m asking for an amp
lol he said he was using a 4x12 when he's clearly using a 4x10.
Nice homage to Van Halen. Really great tone!
