I've read that it gets hot as well, but I don't know why guys freak out by it. All of my tube amps get really hot too! Hahaha! To be honest, I think it's guys used to solid state amps bc it's a normal and typical amount of heat that comes off it. Nothing I've ever been alarmed about. It did! The Depth Finder did great with the Powerstage, considering the sterile sound of the P170 but that's $399 + $125 and now you're at $575 with taxes vs $300 for this thing. It's still loud, just not 85watts loud, like the Powerstage @ 8ohms.
They're both great poweramps and I actually use both quite often. I don't think I prefer one over the other, since they sound great for various tones. The Baby Bomb is like having a Randall RG solid state amp that roars and the Tube Engine is like a Peavey 5150 that has some warmth to the growl. :)
@@louistorres Cheers mate. I used to have a Peavey Classic 50 and love their valve tones. Nice clean, then massive on boost/drive. By the way, I think you mentioned 6L6 valves in the video. If anyone is looking for a Ceres, hit me up. I just got my EVH stealth 50w and I dont think I'm gonna need the Ceres anymore. Its mint condition in the sparkle finish.
There are lots of variables but depends on what someone is looking for in their own tone. For me personally, my two favorites are the Mesa 2:90 and the KSR PA50.

Thanks and Cheers!
Just don't touch the top, which is the same rule for all tube amps. :)
@@louistorres Great!! Ill try to find one used someday on the market. Thanks for your input :D really appreciate it!
also, didnt the Deapthfinder fix the cold sound of the PowerStage?
It did! The Depth Finder did great with the Powerstage, considering the sterile sound of the P170 but that's $399 + $125 and now you're at $575 with taxes vs $300 for this thing. It's still loud, just not 85watts loud, like the Powerstage @ 8ohms.
@@louistorres So what about DeapthFinder + BabyBomb? :)
Do you prefer this to the Mooer 30W Baby Bomb? I guess they're a little different, in that one is valve and the other is pure circuitry. Just curious.
The Mooer website mentions the following configuration - 1 X 12AX7, 1 X 12AT7, 2 X EL84. I think the EL84 are in the Vox AC30.
Cool review, but one thing....racks are 19" wide, not 18"........
Did I say 18" in the video? Hahaha. Then 19" it is. Lol. :)
Lol he always says one thing off in his videos it’s funny
Dude, this tone is sick! Are you boosting the KSR Ceres in this configuration? I can’t believe how well the Mooer Tube Engine compliments the Ceres. Love ya bro.
Which one is louder ? Seymour Powerstage 200W /170W or this Mooer ??
As far as decibels go, they're probably about the same.
@@louistorres just a one more thing ;-)... ...what about the feelings regarding Harley Benton power amp comparing to Seymour 170/200W ? Have you been trying them with 4 ohm load ? Do you feel any difference between them ? tone wise / volume wise. I just sold Harley Benton. I have been using a cab with 4ohm 1x12 Texas Heat speaker to get max volume from it. It was not enough. I want that air push but I need the smallest unit available.
Hey bro! Is it not loud enough to gig with through a 4x12? I run the Mooer Ge 300 through the baby bomb 30 and its loud enough but it has issues with cutting in and out when I use my Mesa Rectifier 4x12. Which is why I'm considering the tube engine
i need one of these !
Yeah bro, it's not loud enough for a show but your neighbors will hate you! Haha!
@@louistorres Excellent for my little studio room to drive my GUP board :)
I'll write in English bc my written Spanish is terrible, pero lo leo perfecto! Jajaja! Yes, I think you would love using the Mooer Tube Engine with your Mesa Triaxis! It's great for playing metal at low volumes and because it's 20watts, if you use it with a 412 cabinet, it is really loud! Buy it, you'll really like it. I use mine all the time when I want to play low but still want that tube tone. :) Hope that helps, hermano! Que lo disfrutes!
@@louistorres thank you louis
@@louistorres By the way again...cual comprarias para el triaxis: mooer tube o mesa boogie dyna watt 20/20 de segunda mano por el mismo precio?
If anyone is looking for a Ceres, hit me up. I just got my EVH stealth 50w and I dont think I'm gonna need the Ceres anymore. Its mint condition in the sparkle finish.
How much? I'll ask around. :)
@@louistorres lets say like 350 shipped
Okay, let me reach out to a few guys who have been wanting a Ceres. Are you on the states? Just wanted to double check. :)
@@louistorres yeah, I'm in california
Porque não pluga a guitarra direto no tube engine e põe o volume no máximo ? Por que?
You can't plug directly into a poweramp, you need a preamp to plug into.
Louis, what's your main income? (not how much) cheers
I'm a professional photographer. :)
@@louistorres cool.📸
@Louis Torres What power amp do you think is best for preamps?
There are lots of variables but depends on what someone is looking for in their own tone. For me personally, my two favorites are the Mesa 2:90 and the KSR PA50.
is it stereo?
Anyone has tried this configuración with a pod go instead of the analog pedals? Anyone can share the experience?
sounds pretty nasty actually :O
I was pretty surprised too! I'm so glad it sounds good, I was worried that it wouldn't.
I subscribed, but I’m still a jerkface. Any way around it?
Hahaha! Thanks for subbing brother! Now you're part of the family. No more jerkface. Now, if someone is being a jerkoff to you in a gear group, you let me know. I fight for my fam, always. I've literally sold hundreds of dollars worth of a company's pedals bc the owner was being a douche to one of my awesome subscribers. I don't fuck around. :) Thanks again!!!
