The Saints have talented people at every position and they are deep. I have watched the highlight videos of most of the players in college, the combine, and in the pros. No reason they can't move the ball and play good defense. The coaching is there now.

Yeah the roster is questionable most people who we want to achieve are the young players

McCoy , but they spent 6 first round picks on 4 players who are bust or just ok players at best so far, two #1s on Davenport and he’s long gone and two #1’s on on Penning that’s insane , Ruiz was a first round pick and they haven’t figured out what to do with that guy , they had McCoy and drafted another center smh Payton Turner was a number one he can’t get on the field , The 2017 draft must’ve been luck They haven’t busted a grape since, they rebuilt this team in 2017 into a Super Bowl contender and it’s been miss after miss pretty much ever since , two things you have to do to win in the NFL, you have to have a good quarterback and you have to draft well if you can’t do both you can’t win And the saints have done neither at a high-level in a long time

Loomis is a big part of the problem . Poor Scouting / Drafting and bad Free Agent Signings and overpaying current players have led us to constant Cap Issues and Mediocre Seasons. If this Teams isn’t in the Playoffs then it’s Time to Restructure and Rebuild from Top to Bottom !

I feel like you guys forget just how good of a coach Sean Payton is Drew. Brees is obviously great but he wasn’t that good at San Diego. And when you guys were winning like a lot, your teams were absolutely stacked.

You lost me the moment you said Carr is not a core piece of the franchise. WTF are you smoking?

Carr is a dead end, but the franchise keeps adding other Raiders players who also dead ends--for what? Now the franchise has filled the media comment sections with carrbage and carrbots. The Saints franchise simply lacks leadership and direction from the top down. Gayle needs to sell the team to a person, group who truly loves the Saints and truly loves to win--and is willing to do the work to win.

That dead-end took the team from 22nd in scoring to 9th. Was that because of the awesome run support? Nope. How about the superior playcalling? Nope. Then, it had to be the great pass protection. Nope. Was it rough at 1st? Absolutely. Did they show improvement offensively? Without a doubt. All of the above are facts that are inconvenient for the biased haters. I was a biased hater at 1st. I really wanted Jaboo to have the chance he was never given.
In September and October, it was clear that our line was just terrible. Jaboo doesn't do well in those situations. That's when he throws those 50 50 balls, and the INTs go through the roof. At that point, I was like, let Carr take the beating, and he did. He won me over by continually getting back up and holding himself accountable in interviews, saying "I need to be better" and I need to make better decisions". Then, you could see the players start to buy in. Sure, they yelled at each other at times. That happens all the time in football. But, the team responded. They pulled together and looked fantastic towards the end. Going into this year, they seemed to have addressed the above issues. If I can come around and cheer for Carr, anyone can. I live near KC, and their fans hated him. He didn't have a ton of success against them, but most times, he was the only one giving them a chance (besides Crosby and Mack).
