Kamara is already overpaid. Doesn't make sense to pay him even more. Next contract should be more incentive based.

Derrick Henry at 8mil is where we need to be with him. Put some funny money at the end in a cut year to make it look like 10 or 12 if he wants.

@@roecitydyaheardm332people who care about salary cap aren't pocket watching players or owners. They want a competitive team long term, and they see that entering each off-season last in NFL in salary cap has resulted in not being able to retain young talent, being completely uncompetitive at the start of each free agency, and being committed to an aging top heavy roster (not to mention: not winning). They're not pocket watching; they're pointing out obvious flaws in the approach. We enter next yr -88 mil over the cap, last in NFL and yet who's going to earn their contacts and be considered great signings (in respect to their cap hit)? You're talking about the 2nd highest paid RB in NFL and he hasn't played up to the deal he has now.

@@roecitydyaheardm332I’m a season ticket holder so I do have skin in the game. But the biggest concern is building the best team you can with the salary cap. 30 year old running backs aren’t getting 15 mil/yr. The best are getting 8mil. That’s what he should get. He has 10mil dead money next year if we cut him. If THEY can work out a deal like they did with Jameis last year where he gets more than we wanted to pay but costs less than he would to cut him, that would be mutually beneficial. Maybe he could get 10mil next year in that scenario. But after that 8mil is the most he should get. It’s top market value for 30+ year old running backs.

@@Bandit95391100 yards 12 TDs last year, 1500 yards 13 TDs in 2022. What has Alvin done to deserve more?

1000 total yards in 17 games isn't that impressive.

We don't even know that he's asking for a raise... I'd imagine he's looking for guaranteed time (via extension), not necessarily money. Similar to what they've done with Demario and Cam - less money, but we're committing to you being here.

Offense dont run smooth without AK. Jamaal cant do what AK do and Kendre was hurt and dont know what he will be this year.
