Famous French Quarter restaurant, would be surprised if it wasn't great food. Had some oysters on the halfshell there and they were huge. Love New Orleans...

The jambalaya looks really plain; was there any sausage in it? New Orleans is famous for their seafood gumbo…YUMMY! Try some down home desserts like banana pudding and peach cobbler. You’re right about the beignet being like the Chinese doughnut topped with powdered sugar. Really enjoy your food videos, Danny! 🙂

White rice for Cajun food is different than Asian rice, usually a longer grain and often Cajun seasoning or no seasoning to complement what it is served with, like Gumbo.

I was surprised there were no Crawfish on the Buffet?
I was hoping for crawfish, but its not the season yet as I been told. They said that now the local crawfish are small, and that they get bigger later. However, imported crawfish is avail all year round, but thats not very Louisiana-ish lol!

Dan, l love your reviews, however a pee-can is something you use in a personal emergency. A pah-cahn is a nut native to the south with which delicious pies, cakes and candies are made.

Jambalaya is not fried rice. It's a tomato based one pan chicken, sausage and rice dish with a medley of spices and seasonings. ***Said the LA. native in her just so you know voice***😊
