- A change which was long overdue.
Update 1.25 has fixed a long standing issue with Gran Turismo 7 which is the large distance between cars on rolling starts. This would always lead to a lack of racing, particularly on lap 1. This change, combined with a very good combo of Trial Mountain in Gr.3 cars has led to a very fun race to take part in.

Why i love ACC!
Stop with this, GT7 also caters to some casual players. If they put dynamic weather, the playerbase in daily races will tank. I am pretty sure of that.
They could just make only daily race C have dynamic weather changes
I want all weathers in the game not just rain or sun, hopefully they’ll introduce snow, ice and mixed weather.
And until we can sell cars
So that's why the races seem better this week. I didn't notice that the rolling start was improved, but could tell something made the racing more fun lol. Now they just need to close the gap by half so we can have realistic starts and full chaos.

This race have give me my first ever win after some 40 online races, so yeah a lot of fun

Paolo had a very good race in the first one btw. Apart from that one massive dive he drove pretty damn well
Yeah he did. Put a lot of pressure on throughout and I could never rest.
I noticed during the race that he had fastest lap with a full 4 tenths faster than Steve. He had proper good pace.

I said the same thing on another video but group 3 at this track was what I was visualizing when gt7 first came out, I'm still scratching my head as to why they didn't do this months ago.
Agreed. I remember saying in one of my last GT Sport videos that I was looking forward to racing on the classic tracks. We've had Trial Mountain races already on GT7 but this feels like the first proper one where you actually race closely.
Because they weren’t interested in making a fun, well-maintained, competitive racing game. They just wanted a vehicle for a continuous revenue stream of people buying credits to unlock cars.
But thankfully enough people loudly told them it was terrible and greedy that they had to actually give a damn and put fixes in before the entire playerbase abandoned it.

Small tip for bumper cam, the ends of the rev bar is more or less the width of your car. There are some exceptions like some open wheelers, but for most cars, the rev bar shows the width

Big improvement with the rolling starts. Now all we need is dynamic weather and a cockpit view similar to ACC and we have a great game on our hands 🙌
What is better on ACC cockpit? Just curiosity. In GT7 for me it is hard to be consistent with cockpit view. I use hood view.
@@pmlsantos a Proper (functional) wheel HUD (like it always shows ABS OFF, TCS OFF than to be real time), lap timer, you hear the little knickknacks of the track like gravel hitting the undercarriage, on-board head movement of the driver (whenever it leans on turns)…I may be missing a few more things but those are some I remember

@@ChrisZero7 GT7 has some options for cockpit view that gives more immersion to the game like those movememts of cockpit if not mistaken.
@@pmlsantos anytime!! yea I couldn’t remember at the moment if the game had that option lol, but as for ACC, those are some details that I likes about the game being accurate at to IRL

I really enjoyed it too. Great race from start to finish.
Decided to sit and grind some good old daily races for the first time in weeks - and this one didn't dissapoint. The A lobbies were more chaotic than i expected, but this track produced a lot of dynamic battles. Also reached A+ rating for the first time!! The future of GT7 is looking bright
Same, only I am returning to A+. Hopefully will hang on to it this time!
Congrats on the rating. I suck but I also re started grinding the online this week. I need 50 races, its my last trophy for the platinum I hated the online before but now its fun
@@sercanserj7804 Yeah it's a lot of fun. Can take a while to get into the good clean and competitive lobbies though. It could take 50 races to get into B or A DR

I don't even own gran turismo or even a PlayStation since gran turismo 3 but I just love these videos. Would be cool if they trialed rolling starts with 2 lines of staggered cars. Would make the drag race to the first corner epic. Although forza first corner ptsd would start to set in
Yeah it's a tough one. It'd be good to have closer racing but at the same time, we don't want it to be a bowling alley at turn 1.
I think these gaps are good, if not a little closer would be better and yes, maybe make them slightly more staggered.
I raced my friends on PS1 multiplayer on this track We would jump coming out of the first tunnel then watch the replay I don't remember the year but it was a long time ago!
Man, I hated GT7's Trial Mountain while I was learning it, so many little places to make mistakes, but now it's one of my favorite. Def trying out this race tonight.

I noticed that the damage system gave the cars a slight buff of damage resistance in this update.

I agree 100%. I love this track and to have it in Gr3, which iam not the best at, it has been quite an enjoyable race. I did not practice, I just went right in with 7 mins to the start and did 3 laps and went straight in. 1st race was horrid. started 14th, and crashed in T1 but finished 12th. 2nd race started 12th and finihed 5th. So yea. Loving this. I will try to get in some more races before the new set of races start
I also appreciate the variety of cars used in this race. There was a Viper, the Lamborghini, Ford, Nissan, BMW, Genesis, and I even found the Suzuki to be competitive.

The spread out slower starts makes sense for ~10+ lap races but in quicker daily races you generally see in GT7 the tight pack rolling starts are SO much better

@Super GT great content mate. Love the videos and they hard but fair racing. Really wanting to get into the sim racing myself but need to save for a decent steering wheel and pedal setup. Fingers crossed I will maybe see you sometime on the game for a race in the future.

I've recently been playing GT3 a lot, with plenty of races at this track I could see all the differences in it but noticed that it still has a similar character to the OG (main changes were the longer straights, some different elevation changes, wider track all round and a tight final chicane) still, RIP Mountain Sling

love the change. it balances out the race quite a bit. it gives people the opportunity to be in the race even if they didnt qualify as well. at the same time is reduces the advantage of that pole position. that part i appreciate the most. its all great and wonderful to achieve a good qualifying time but its sometimes quite boring when you dont have to really defend it that much. good on polyphony for making a change that actually improves the feeling of racing

I am learning a lot just by watching your playing. I am an amateur racer started on GT Sport. Recently switched to GT7 on PS4 pro platform.
Playing on the pad is really giving me a hand pain LOL, and considering to switch to a racing wheel. My budget is $400 max and seeing that I don't have many options.
T248, T300RS and G923 seem like my options... I'd like to hear your honest opinion.

it’s so frustrating how you can’t customise your rear view mirrors in this game.. imagine if you could add two small side mirror previews on both corners of the screen - it would’ve helped so much and added so much realism and feel

The adjustment of the rolling starts has been very welcome - especially when starting at the back. If they could start using mediums instead of hards, that would bring a good few more cars into play.
I’ve noticed you can use a whole lot of different cars too! I’ve been using the Audi R8, and its performed very well.
Cool race! I'm pretty sure that was more of a contemporary rather than an old switcheroo though.
My only dislike of the bumper cam is that "darkening" around the peripheral edges when there's another car nearby.

It’s crazy how everything else has gotten so much better, but you’re right, exhaust noises are so poor and synthetic, haven’t improved in 20 yrs..

In this track, things can either go really good or really bad. Trust me; I've experienced it. Kinda sad this week is coming to an end. I really enjoyed the race this week.
Hey Super GT, You missed one other problem, GT Sport allowed for brake bias adjustment in a race, qualification or time attack. Now they don't let you adjust it in GT7, defeats the purpose behind their new wheel for Fanatec and Thrustmaster.
