    Number 2 of a 3 part series on bowl lathering for wet shaving. This is how I bowl lather by gathering the soap into the brush then create the lather in the bowl.

    There, See how much easier it is to bowl lather when you put down the spoon! Kudos to you for your videos - a new generation of wet shavers are learning how to Do It Right with your videos!

    Another winner of a video. I've rediscovered soaps over creams, and bowl/scuttle lathering. Thank you good sir.

    Amazing how good you get that lather by staying with it for a few minutes. Best I've seen. Thanks.

    I like this variation equally to Episode One. I'll practice both methods. Thanks.

    Another good video on bowl lathering technique. Another good way to lather is in the palm of your hand. It allows you to feel the consistency of the lather through your fingers.

    Super helpful, what you had before adding water the first time is what I had been using. Put some on your face, wait 30 seconds and it would be gone.

    Episode 2 is user friendly. Kev, can you post a link for purchasing this ridged bowl? The raised portions seem to assist greatly in airation of the lather.

      Alexander, the bowl was a limited edition buy on a forum called "The Shaving Room". I've just had a look and they are going to be doing another run of the bowl soon I think. I'm not sure where you are in the world but it's a UK pottery that makes them. Here's the link for you;

      They might ship worldwide, but I'm not sure. I know some people have contacted the pottery direct and had some bowls made outwith the forum.

    Thanks for the video Kevy! I do have one question though. I'm new to wet shaving and like most beginners out there, I picked up a Proraso Green soap (the one that comes in the puck, not the tube). And as you did in this video, when you use a shaving soap and you bowl lather, you still have to at least load your brush. So with that said, after every shave, I've developed this habit of 'cleaning' my soap just to get the residual lather out. Is that going to ruin the soap quality for the next shave?

      Thanks Aegon for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I always rinse any excess lather off the puck after I shave. I don't like leaving residual soap on the puck. As long as you leave the lid off the soap and let it dry naturally for about a day or so, it shouldn't cause any harm to the quality of the soap. Kevy 👍
