Hello, Code Monkey! I was wondering how close you are to finishing the C# Masterclass course's advanced section and if you could give an idea of when it would be released on UA-cam. I cant wait for this new course!
I'm trying to balance working on both the C# course and the upcoming DOTS course, lately I've been focusing hard on getting the DOTS prototype completed. After that I'm going to get back to the advanced section of the C# course.
But there's tons of lectures to do on the advanced section, I'm not sure I'll be able to get them all done in the next update, so it might take a while to get it all done and the free version here on UA-cam

Do you know if Scene Control works with NetCode for GameObjects/Entities?
Hmm good question, there's no mention of it on the page so I assume not. At least in NGO you need to specifically load scenes through the NetworkManager, whereas I assume the asset just uses normal SceneManagement
@@CodeMonkeyUnity I assume it would work for a game where you load a scene and then in that scene open a connection, and then on scene close, close the connection.

Can I use those assets in my GODOT engine? especially 2d ones.(I'm talking about general asset stuff not for this video only)
In terms of visual assets yup. If it's 2D then it's probably just .PNG or .PSD which you can use in any engine. And for 3D stuff it's probably in .FBX which can be used in any engine.
The only engine specific things are Shaders and Particle effects.

Really? What makes you say that? I haven't used all of them but I find they have some of the best tools on the store, tons of customization with easy to use editor windows.
Man I really wish you were doing Godot stuff! I've always loved your Unity content but I just don't care for Unity anymore! Would be cool to see you just do a test run in Godot just to see how much of a viable alternative it is to Unity!
I would definitely love to find some time to try out Godot, I've been watching Brackeys new videos on Godot and it seems quite interesting!
@@CodeMonkeyUnity I think it'd be great for community! Not just for people on the fence about Godot and whether it's good enough but maybe for people who are looking to switch. Although, seeing as you are Unity focused you might not want people switching. I've stayed subscribed anyway just to keep supporting you though!

I personally call the scriptable object database
On my game I use scriptable object as database for example for the weapon's on my game
I have all the nessery data from each weapon and I simply and the correct data's depends on the weapon.
For example one database for the pistol one for the shotgun ECT.
I event name this scriptable object weapon Data.
I don't know why unity called this system scriptable object and not database. But in my opinion it's just a Way to kiping data.

how much does the average indie gamedev spend on assets?
No idea if there's a useful average, everyone has different skills. If you're like me and you can write all the code that you need and just need to buy visuals then it's actually pretty cheap. For example with that humble bundle I can make hundreds of games.
Whereas if you are more of an artist and can't write complex code then you probably end up spending more on all kinds of tools assets.
