sri lanka is such an underrated destination thats absolutely gorgeous and a land like no other....the nature, the people, their smiles and their kindness gives u a really authentic experience. its not even as pricey as other tourist filled destinations like bali or thailand..and u get a lotta privacy. the power cuts are no more now..and sri lanka is slowly recovering....it really doesnt deserve the picture the news and media paint on it

The only restriction we had when going was, we needed proof of covid vaccines and test etc. And there were no restrictions for us when we were there. We were a bit effected by the power cuts etc, but they are saying it will get better. There is this Sri Lankan UA-cam called Sheneller, and she talk about the situation too right now. Yes a handfull who like the money and western life style would risk life and limb to take boat to wherever, NOT everyone. It's not the country that's a problem its the greedy politicians who have made people wanting to leave the country. I spite of the man made economic crisis, It's still a wonderful place to live and call home. Come on down and experience paradise.
