    I'm assuming this is all voxel LOD used on planets. However, I'm not sure what these values correspond to.

    Google needs to step up its game, I've been trying to find a guide for this stuff for years..

    To confirm: I've tried negative gravity and it simply sets it to zero 0 and also messes up how the jetpack works

    Hey Doctor^^
    Thanks for the great videos and Planets on Steam^^
    I'm really bad at coding but this doesn't look too difficult
    Might give it a try XD

    So if just wanted to make just ore planets where the entire planet is just 1 type of ore I would just change the stone and soil values to a specific ore type right?

    • @AsteroidSam
      @AsteroidSam 2 роки тому +1

      Correct. Or you can edit the default surface material and underground values to said ore (sorry extremely late response)

    Can u set no default material so in that layer between 20 and 30 it would be open space?

    Is there any way to take a planet out of a world file? Just wanted the planet on it and could not figure out how.

    Is there a way to do layers such as if I want the whole planet to be ice till you hit about 900 meters then be like stone and sand?

    i wish i understood this better. ive been trying to create my own planet for ages now.
    just out of interest, is it possible for you to assist or take a request for this planet since i cant seem to figure it out? I've already partially created heightmaps but due to my lack of software i have no way to make them look better or blend better (I've at least tried them out on the in game tutorial/example mod planet by replacing the files to some degree of success (ignoring where the maps join of course)) but aside from that ive had no other success in implementing it into its own separate celestial body, specifically because i think ive overcomplicated things in that i wanted to do moon style ore gen and full custom height and biome mapping.
    UPDATE: i am now on the SE discord and have made a couple posts about it recently in the Modding-Programing chat for SE PC, still struggling tho

    What program/methods would you recommend for making a set of height maps that come together seamlessly for a planet?

  • @protyusgames4741

    Do you have any planet that has zero ores or if not some that have the ores very deep. I want to build a scenario based off of salvage. The goal will to be to get off the planet with only the wrecks provided in the scenario. Thanx in advance.

    • @AllGoodAllEasy
      @AllGoodAllEasy  7 років тому +1

      You can easily do that - simply don't write in any ore data.

      I was hoping there was one already made I could subscribe to, but I guess I'll watch again and give it a whack. Thanx Doc. You sure you don't want to make one? I would feature it on my small but growing channel. Lemme know aye?

      Simple no Heightmap, without a heightmap there can be no terrain.

    hi got no idea if you still check the comments here but worth a shot... im editing the Pertam.sbc as my template for planet mods do you have any idea what this parameter is supposed to do
    DifficultyHard
    it`s placed right after

    PlanetGeneratorDefinition
    Pertam

    and above
    i`ll probably just leave it at default regardless but would be nice to know what it`s supposed to do.

      Its for marking difficulty when selecting the planet as a respawn/spawn point - Think the starting lander/pod you get when spawning on earthlike, moon, alien

    How did you get the
    template "PlanetTutorial.sbc"?
    is there a other way to get the template?
    ore is this self made?

    • @AllGoodAllEasy
      @AllGoodAllEasy  4 роки тому +2

      Self Made, by literally just stripping the vanilla one down to basics

  • @RenBR

    Is this tutorial still functional after the last upgrade?
    What about the modding of super sized planets?
    Does still required an older (DX9) version of the game to create?

    • @AllGoodAllEasy
      @AllGoodAllEasy  5 років тому +4

      The Majority of the tutorial is still valid, Super Sizing Planets can be done via SEToolBox now

  • @PoliticalJohn

    How did you get the defaut tutorial planet? How do you get the earth planet data? It's not in game files and there is no way to extract it.

    • @AllGoodAllEasy
      @AllGoodAllEasy  6 років тому

      Not sure what your asking, I provided a template for the tutorial in the description. If you are asking about the vanilla planet files they are located in the game's data folder.

    How would you add a custom sky box for your worlds?

    • @AllGoodAllEasy
      @AllGoodAllEasy  4 роки тому

      Do you mean a skybox for SE or Clouds on a Planet.... as those are two completely different things.

    • @marcusw86
      @marcusw86 4 роки тому

      Doctor Octoganapus yeah, if you wanted to change your worlds sky line, i see they have a sky box in the planet generator, so i figure there must be a way to alter its look.

    • @marcusw86
      @marcusw86 4 роки тому

      @@marcusw86 Um... there is no 'sky box' in the planet generator.
