forgot to mention: please remember to click 'delete recordings' between each scene :)
Very informative and down to the point. Thanks!
Small tip to reduce the reloading times: Make sure your world is clear, spawn only stuff you need for the scene and don't load unneccessary mods.
all useful tips, a second saved on one reloading will add up to hundreds over the course of the cinematic
@@LunarKolony I remember that theres a mod that allows you to keep everything from going off course no matter how many times you replay it
It's called (PathLock - Advanced Replay System) and it's AMAZING, i've not used it myself however but the 2 example videos show it off very well.
might come in handy for ya Lunar.

Nicely done, will definitely have to try to make another cinematic some time.
Awesome video! Great info! Thank you for taking the time.
Welp now i realy have to try this once. It looks so cool!
Thats amazing!
Nice work and explaining.
that was really helpful thank you
Thank you. I tried to do a few before.
Thanks you for the tutorial. I have been thinking about how you added the cinematic bars for quite some time. How much time does you pc need to reload the world? I'm honestly impressed how much patience and time you invest for a movie. The replay tool needs to be more userfriendly. It's very time consuming and slightest failure causing problem. My pc took about 3-5 min to load a world so this is not a pleasant option for me.
Yeah fortunately I have an SSD so it's not so bad, for you I'd recommend removing anything from the world u don't need and making scenes have as few characterd as possible
Very informative, I never even realised the replay tool or how useful it was. Was wondering what do you use to record? I've just been using what comes with my nvidia drivers, didn't know if there was something better
Hi azean, I used shadow play to record, always found It to have the least amount of impact on my games performance
I think if you convert your ships to stations it would help out when moving characters around landed ships or shooting interior shots.
I wasn't expecting the video editing part. Where did you get the audio file?
SE Soundtrack is on UA-cam. ua-cam.com/video/V7zn04zw1kw/v-deo.html You can just do a screen recording of the track you want and keep the audio line. (It is copyright free as far as I know, but check before just in case)
I must put out my emotes for machinima mod....
Is there some way you can transition into regular play like you made a sence and then throw the player into the fray
I literally cannot get the replay tool to work properly, I don't if I fucked something up but it will not behave the devs descibed. Is this an issue with everyone?
I simply can't switch character from control/pilot seats which messes up everything and the spectator view doesn't seem to work properly. Any advice?
my ssd only has 30 gb, have to put se on a disk so important stuff can go on the ssd. it sucks
also i like to add a bit of contrast when editing as well
hmm never played with the ingame recorder Thx for the info
space engineers needs to update their Replay tool, so we can do more
do you have a discord and also are you looking for players friends to game with ?
yes, lunar has a discord, look in the About page
