  • In this 5-minute video Hicks Lake camping Vlog, we navigate the scenic back roads through Deroche, Mission, and Harrison Springs, capturing stunning views of Mount Robson along the way. Once at Hicks Lake, we set up our Ozark Trail Beach Shelter and, for the first time, our TailVeil, which gave us so much more space and kept those nasty wasps at bay!
Here’s what you’ll find in this video:
Hicks Lake Sasquatch Provincial Park tour: Tips for navigating the park during tourist season and a guide to the three main campgrounds-Hicks Lake, Deer Lake, and Bench Campground.
Hicks Lake hiking trail guide: Information about the Hicks Lake Trail.
Our camping setup at Hicks Lake: TailVeil Setup...we loved how the TailVeil gave us extra space and protected us from bugs and aggressive wasps, making our camping experience even more enjoyable.
A tour of Hicks Lake day use area..
Camping Essentials: From the $23 per night campsite booking process to the best spots for privacy, we’ve got you covered. Plus, a must-watch segment on why coffee is an essential part of any camping trip!
Teva Flip-Flops: A shout-out to my trusty pair of Teva flip-flops that have survived nearly a decade of adventures-they might just be the most durable gear I own!
Activities & Amenities: Discover the day-use area’s amenities, including picnic tables, fresh water, and a sandy beach, perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, or just a relaxing swim.
Hiking Hicks Lake Trail: A peaceful 4 km loop that’s easy to complete in about 90 minutes.
Wildlife & Humor: Keep an eye out for bald eagles, woodpeckers, mountain goats, and maybe even the elusive Sasquatch!
We’d love to hear from you-what’s your top camping tip? And have you ever spotted a Sasquatch in the wild?
