Nice job, just goes to prove that you don't always need complex test equipment to diagnose faults. Understanding circuits and determination will often get you where you need to go, with only basic test equipment. It still surprises me the amount of people in the trade that are convinced that using an Incandescent test lamp on modern vehicles will cause untold damage. Keep up the good work 👍
I had the same oil leak that ruined the alternator but fortunately it didn't saturate that connection. Just wondering - could that connector just be sprayed with mass airflow cleaner or something and work again?. Anyway good diagnostic work.
@@bdm2morro607 oxygen sensors. One or more is shorted to ground. Check the one near the alternator. It's usually soaked in oil. Check the side of the wiring going towards the PCM ..
I fail to see how an O2 sensor harness connection that is soaked in oil is a problem. Does dirty engine oil conduct enough electricity to reduce signal strength? And am I correct that the car is running with the A/F sensor disconnected?
I started having the same issue, especially on cold morning.. hard starts.. and noticed my fuel consumption is dropping more n more.. like driving 2 blocks and the Range on the dash reading 8 miles.. that tapping noise as it runs I read could be the injectors.. is that true.. either Injectors or pump.. ??
Great video! Do you have any experience with changing the camshaft sensors on a Hyundai 2007 Santa Fe 2.7L? I have a crank / no start issue w/ zero rpm indication. I cannot remove the Bank 1 camshaft sensor (seems the engineers at Hyundai designed the water lines that go to the cooling assembly to encroach on ).
Hi. I have a 2011 Sonata with only 38,000 miles. It has a new battery battery and starter. It has no power to anything and no crank. It started three times using jumper cables, but then stopped that also. What should i check? Thanks.
My car won't start or crank. But have a code for the o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 2 . Would this caused the car not to crank? It's the o2 sensor after the converter

I have this same exact car and I’m having the same problem. Been down since June first started with the fuel pump got a new pump still wouldn’t start. Took it to Hyundai they said it was a fuse it ran for a while but cut back off the end of June here in September I’m being told I need another fuel pump I keep telling them it might be the fuse again cause it was a connection issue but nobody listening and I’m basically just wasting money
@@Usmanthemecano I took out the o2 sensor before and after the catalytic and the car is driving close to normal so the exhaust must be plugged btw the catalytic converter on bank 2 or the rear one under neath the car

No. You have to check the basics: fuel, spark, compression...

I got no power to crank sensor wire. I switched out the fuel filter in fuel pump and it crank over but no start now.
Any codes?

It shows to be the fuel pump circuit fault... be sure the o2 sensor wires aren't compromised especially on bank 2 (radiator side)

Check all fuses with strobe light.Also the manufacturer crank shift sensor needs to be replace after 130k mileage
