- In this session, I will be tracking a song live using the Korg Kronos. This is my process and may help you fine-tune your workflow. Come hang out! Ask questions or even make suggestions about how you go about your process.

Goodmorning I’ve been enjoying the videos. I had my Korg NAUTILUS for a week and it’s definitely a learning curve. I’ve just subscribed as a member how do I request to get help with some of the features that the keyboard have? Also is it possible to for me to schedule a zoom? I have some questions and need help with setting things up. I’ve been watching some of the videos but I need help with things like using proper gain settings for the piano voicing and ifx settings for the drums
Good morning Darrell! Great to meet you and thanks for deciding to become a member of my channel. Yamaha is a better board for horn sounds by for btw. The motif/Es, the XF any beyond they split the brass “parts” up and their in the board but you have to recombine them
For brass? Hmmmmm. Interesting. But I was in a spot where I was trying to use the Kronos only. Just where I have been recording videos for the last few weeks. I may be back into studio A in the next few weeks.
What do you mean by split the parts up and then recombining them? Not positive that I'm following you on that.
@@JuliusDeBerryJr Id almost have to send you a video of what I mean later 😂 ok so the sound “hybrid” for brass has evolved in the Yamaha boards.
In the classic the sound “Hybrid” was a dope 3 part sound made of other voices already in the board which was really (velo falls, Hybrid section, and hybrid section Dee tuned (.05-.07 semi tones)
In the XF and beyond you’d have to combine those sounds to get what “hybrid” was out the box in the original motif and ES board. I think it’s partially becuase of how multi part sounds impacts polyphony.

@@JuliusDeBerryJr I’m sampling “hybrid” over to the Kronos as we speak so that’s how I know that lol
@DevinShoulders oh ok. I get what you mean now. You sure it's not in the board anymore by default?
@DevinShoulders why sample it be just redoing the sound in the Kronos!?
Yeah Julius the Kronos pianos don’t fit foot stomping gospel stuff best sometimes because its too pretty 😂
Randy talked about this as well. The pianos cuts and their newer uprights in the nautilus do a much better job in the gospel world
Lol that's funny! "Too pretty" I've actually been tripping about my Kronos piano as of late. I actually called Randy last week and was like bro "are my ears changing". 😂. But I think it may have been something else that was altering the sounds in my ears. The German grand just sounded MADD different to me for some reason. (During the making of this video)
@@JuliusDeBerryJr the brighter Japanese ones tend to work better for gospel depending on the song. J ruddess is a good one.
@DevinShoulders I have been saying for years that the Japanese cut more but I just don't like the sound of it.
Austrian (bosendorfer) was my favorite but it's not in this Kronos yet. I need to add it....
But like I was saying the German has been used by me forever.... Just the other day it struck me differently.... Sounded very different
@@JuliusDeBerryJr I’ve been looking into the Austrian grand. Now to be clear, synth sounds, The Kronos is 🔥 there’s some really cool ones in there.
