It’s great seeing your channel grow so much. Best channel for honest content, not influenced by sponsors like 90% of the other channels. Keep up the great content.
OE tire BF Goodrich All Terrain in OE size is the superior tire on both my 2007 TRD and my 2013 Trail Teams / TRD. It's also US military spec with a 3 ply sidewall. Great for off road. They do increase the "hollow' sound on smooth highways unless you have absorbtive clothes, gear, etc in the cargo area.
I'll add that I'm a retired Toyota/Lexus Master Diagnostic Specialist having worked at tire and mechanical shops since the 70s, plus the first 25 years that Lexus was in business in the US.
Howdy Mark great content. Great to see both you and your Dad out together on the show. I wonder if your Dad was quite intrigued on what car he reminded me of last time when you chatted with him about it?( HJ Holden Statesman) All the wonders of my Asperger's sense of humour
Your first 'problem' is the shock absorbers. Having driven the 2007 version of your vehicle and immediately driving the TRD version which came with Bilstien shocks, it was the difference of driving an old ford truck vs a late model BMW.
Nice! Congrats on the FJ. It’s a lot of fun. I haven’t had it out on the tracks yet but it is such a good daily for me. Easy to drive, well tuned transmission and the community is die hard. Don’t forget to give the FJ wave as well. It’s fun for its different style like the 79 is fun for it being like a truck 👍
It didn’t say it on the link but ended up being the light truck version when it arrived. If you want the light truck version, you’ll have to wait for stock. Must be popular 👍

Thank you mate. I appreciate that you notice the difference in my channel. Your support means a lot 👍
Fantastic content! Your videos are always really informative. I just bought a 2015 FJ last week!
Thank you. That means a lot 👍 enjoy it! Send me a pic through Instagram. Keen to see it

Hey mate, you’ve obviously had a few 4wds, would you say it’s one of the runner cars you’ve opened ? I’ve just picked up a nice black one also

Those old tires were seriously worn out and hardened. Any tire would have made an enormous improvement.
Haha yeah they were seriously bad! Love the new tyres now though
Did you choose the LT version of the tyre ?

With tire sizes, the dimensions are exactly the same, the appearance can be deceiving.
Very true. Even the style of tyre can make it look bigger or smaller
