You know what would be awesome, post-apocalypse knights in the same realm as guys running around with M4s and Kalashnikovs.
i would play that.
If armor piercing rounds were very hard to come across, these knights could be seriously good Mini Bosses.
I know a game very close to this. It's vr only tho. It's called The Light Bregade, you play as a acolyte of a religion after something ruined the world dark souls style. It's a rougelike against the living undead, where you harness the power of prayer, magic, and WWII weaponry. It's worth getting if you have a VR.
After the great holy lights (nuclear war) technology and civilization has regressed. Knights make their armor out of salvaged artefacts from the old days, and firearms are hard to come by. Those that can properly wield them are known as mages. Near the sites of which the holy light first impacted spreads a lethal curse that corrupts and kills. Some far off and isolated sects maintain the knowledge of the old days but have gone insane from the holy light's curse.
There's also something coming out soon called Kingmakers, you can find more info on UA-cam itself lol.
That whole story, and the only part that made me nitpick was how they knocked open the door before the bang from the grenade. They were asking for trouble.

@@nikoleg_mitrofan There was an enemy on the other side of the door, and they were going to flashbang them to blind them just as they rushed into the room to take him down. It's a rather typical routine.

I'm somehow expecting a similar scenario with a smoke grenade but the whole world turns into freaking Silent Hill
Actually, a B I G smoke grenade *_could_* technically consume the entire world's light in a way, especially if squirrels chewed on all the power grids at the same time.

Giant smoke grenade that carpets the atmosphere in a thick smog, blocking the sunlight, the plants were the first to die. Then the cold came, as if humanity had just known its last summer, with the ash in thr sky the sun couldnt shine, and so humanity was cast into a never ending vulcanic winter, one we created ourselves.
Even now, centuries later, the ash still falls from the sky, in place of the rain our ancestors knew. And even now the FPS hasnt returned to normal, because smoke physics seem to never be properly fucking optimised

Funny story:
My senior year of high-school was during the lock down, so all classes were online. I was taking a test for anatomy, heard a loud bang and the power went out. Sent an email via phone telling the teacher what was happening. Next day she told me, she believed me because her husband works for consumer's energy and a squirrel had blown a transformer near my house
