If you think 9 difficulties is rediculus, then wait until you hear that the first one has bloody 15 of them.

In the original game there were 15 levels of difficulty the last one being called The inner circle of hell.
Now I'm hyped for more updates, when difficult 15 is coming?
If I remember correctly, I joined a random lobby without reading the difficulty and when I crawled out the Hellpod (old version did not have a elevator) I saw a large group of Cyborgs but instead of seeing steel they were amalgamated with flesh with meat saws as hands chasing the squad that was already there while maniacally laughing . Those type of Cyborgs ( If my memory is right they are called the Surgeons since they are the ones that attach machinery to other Cyborgs ) took forever to kill since the flesh that they stole from Helldivers which they attached to themselves acted as a bullet sponge, even a shot from a recoilless rifle would not instantly kill them.
An Exercise in Futility is my personal favorite,arena maps above are nearly unplayable

My favorite feature of this game is getting kicked from 50% of the games I join from the matchmaking system by people who are too f*cking lazy to change their party privacy and are surprised when randoms join. And being accused of being a TK’er by people I’ve never met, upon dropping in, while they TK me and tell the host to kick me. Like, I just wanna spread liberty with my fellow Helldivers. 10/10, realistic managed democracy simulator :)
Man i wish the social system worked so i didnt have to open my lobby to public for steam friends to join.
Not even a matter of leaving it open, the social system is that broken >< Cant help the TK bs though.
Tbf, that setting doesn't always seem to work. I have on rare occasions had a random show up even when the lobby is friends only. It's only happened to me a few times, but yeah that setting doesn't always work properly.
@@dovahkat9635I've had that happen once. Accidentally threw an SOS beacon while playing with a friend and people could join for the mission.
i just force join people. less kicks than if you use matchmaking

9 difficulty settings is very much necessary. I used to struggle on 4 and now I get bored unless it's a helldive.
A lot of people that have put 200 or 300 plus hours in the game still haven't figured out how to kill a single heavy enemy by themselves. Most players genuinely struggle to successfully engage the enemy in this game and it shows when trying to quickplay. Doesn't help that players get upset and defensive when you try to explain there are various was to hold and take ground.
So yeah, those lower difficulties are really important because they teach you how to play the game.
Sometimes you just want to kick back and relax, too. While I can scrape by on helldives it's just too frantic to be fun for me, so I prefer suicide level of difficulty, or if I'm really feeling like turning off my brain challenging levels is fine as well.
I go on medium difficult when I wanna farm super credits and complete the mission faster, other than that I play on dif 8

Lol that stratagem reminds me of when I was a kid, using my Longshot CS-6 to emulate artillery for my plastic army men, and using Lincoln Logs as fortifications. Had to add an additional spring behind the air chamber so it would "blow" the fortifications apart.
Hoot could whisper sweet nothings in my ear like an eldritch horror and I could still be entirely relaxed...

It's okay Hoot. Today I got kicked from a game for the sin of splitting away from the team. While they were face-tanking automatons on difficulty 9 (Helldive) and screwing with our reinforcement count, I was solo-stealthing my way through most of the other objectives. It really hurts to be removed for being effective!
