- In this video, I compile every time (almost) that Matt Smith has addressed returning to Doctor Who for an anniversary episode. And also some recent comments denying his return. It makes for interesting viewing!

@@HOTD108_ Were they really though? The only returning cast members were the Nobles (who barley get anything to do), David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Bonnie Langford (who barley gets anything to do), and Jemma Redgrave. If anything this is a little bit understuffed for an anniversary especially considering this time they had three specials instead of one.

It's SUS. I don't want to get my hopes up, but the sus levels are high. Particularly the fact that right up until they were nearly filming he was sure he'd come back in a heartbeat, yet after he's saying he doesn't think it'll ever happen. Like that's a complete 180.
As much I really want him to come back, even for a little cameo, I don't want to get my hopes up too badly.
Gosh I hope you're right, and he does come back, just for the fact that this video's so cheeky with the idea xD The ending especially killed me! And that image of Russell giving the glasses pull-down will likely take up rent space in my head for a while now xD

At one point during the time of filming he did get a hair cut to his usual style, twitter clowned about it

A bit depressing to watch, he starts off being excited at the prospect of returning one day, then over time sounds disappointed that he hasn't even been asked and has this feeling that it probably won't ever happen. Sadly, I think he might be right. Part of it is that his companions, it would be difficult to ever pair him with them again based on how they were written out of the show. I suppose he could meet with a Clara that has her own Tardis, but she is now considered more of 12's companion than 11's. Not going to lie though, it would be interesting for an older more experience Clara to meet up again with her "boyfriend" Doctor to see what that interact might look like.
I would love to see 11 and Clara together on screen again and I reckon they wouldn’t mind as Matt has stated that he regrets not having done a full series with her. I think it would be cool to see the two come back along side Capaldi to see how the differences between the dynamics of the parings. But I know Capaldi had said he won’t ever return.

I am hope we get a heap of surprises over the course of those three episodes!

I've always wanted to see a new-faced doctor see one of his recent companions in the new era.
I always wanted to see one of the past companions come back but as the doctor, imagine micky as the doctor and bumping into rose 😅
he's my doctor. no question about it, but for now, he's not my first choice. he hasn't been done to death, like the tenth, but he was in the 50th, so i'd rather see classic doctors, twelve, or (in the dream world) nine return.
that said, though i am tired of the tenth doctor, i think it would be hilarious if he came back for the 60th, and i mean as the tenth doctor, if the fourteenth meets the tenth, that would be hilarious.
