Modi allowed Pakistani investigators to come to India and investigate the matter themselves, giving them benefit of doubt, while the entire intelligence community and policy advisors of Modi were unhappy with the decision of letting Pakistanis into an Indian Military Base. Those investigators went back and said the attack was orchestrated by Indians on themselves. That is when the Modi government decided that they will not talk with Pakistan anymore.

Differences of opinion and hate are two different stories. Yes people may dislike or have differences but the key is not let go of yourself in the process. Some context for Pakistanis reading the comments. Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji was a prominent leader of RSS, RSS is a voluntary organization, many prominent leaders including Atal ji didn't even marry, they just dedicate their life to serve the country and people. And every rss place has a picture of Bharat Mata on the Akhand Bharat map which they worship everyday, even Nathuram Godse's ashes still remain unimmersed in a silver urn in Pune as his last wish "Do not immerse my ashes in the Ganga till the day the Indus river doesn't flow under my national flag". And when Godse ji was taken to the gallows, he had Geeta, saffron flag and the map of Akhand Bharat in his hands. Now all of you can think that what a big deal it was when Atal ji went to Minar e Pakistan. And when he came back, he had to see the bodies of the martyrs

Atal ji had to face consequences of that, RSS didn’t support Atalji in 2004 and 2009 elections
There is great peace between India and Pakistan now; and we Indians love it.
Simply because of 3 things:
1. No talks, trade, cricket or 'aman ki aasha' nonsense between India and Pakistan.
2. India's record growth - fastest growing large economy of the world.
3. Pakistan's economic crisis - begging here, begging there; begging, begging everywhere.
As Indian, we dont have anything to do with Pakistan. So long as they dont mess with us.

The last few years were the best in terms of relation with Pakistan. No relation = no terrorist attacks. The relation with pakistan fuels our internal politics too and it also causes division between communities. The pakistani mass is highly radicalised by their system so even if we do our best to repair our relations with them still their mentality will not change.

The true fact is peace between two country is not impossible. But we must understand there are greater powers that doesn't want this to happen. Pakistan army get 1.5 million of the total budget for their defence , if everything normalise between India and Pakistan, everyone will ask question why army is keeping so much money for themselves, thus the army will lose the chance of getting free money.if u remember everytime there is any treaty between India and Pakistan or things seems that they r going well between our countries something terrible happens. 1998- bajpayi went to Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif accepted him while heartedly, but musharaf without even letting him know attacks on kargil, 2008- a minister from pak visited India, Pakistani players were playing ipl,, everything seems normal, 26/11 Mumbai attack happend, 2016- even being a party member of BJP Modi ji went to visit Pakistan, everything seems to be normalise between two countries, but pulwama happens. I always say local people of pak nd India are same. They don't want to harm anyone, want to live peacefully. But it's who r in power, will always be the barrier. Very valuable "The Pakistan Experience" - this episode ! It is worth appreciating a thousand times. I would recommend just two points ... (1) If you can not do away with the religion ... at least pause/ freeze its role in your Nation's official affairs for next 20 years. That means shut down all that goes in the name of " Deeni Taalim" . Use these 20 years to formally educate every child 5 years of age to day- let this be mandatory .Period. (2) This has to be a peoples"s movement / revolution. This has to come from community leaders like you . Meanwhile , ensure that you also freeze your enmity with India even if you do not want to be its friend. How ? Fully stop any dis course on Kashmir . You can not possess it - not withstanding its Muslim majority ( since that too applies only to the valley!). If people lead this "charge" , your Army is rendered irrelevant your daily life and so you have lots of your national income for the people - their education and health . Hopefully Pakistan the people will also divert their productivity to other than making more babies !

Great podcast shehzad. I would like to add that presently, the situation of R&D is precarious. We are not spending a bit on R&D in the higher education sector. People have brilliant ideas and solutions but lack of funding never let's anything commercialize. Researchers in agricultural science for example, have solutions but no one sponsors them for the very obvious reasons of vicious monopolies in the sector.

The funny thing is, in India no one even mentions Pakistan until a cricket match or a terrorist attack. Even in a cricket match, we welcome the competition and the rivalry, that too of cricket, nothing else. Number of times Pak mentions India is hilarious. For 99% things, India is self sufficient. In our education system, you'd see no mention of hatred against anyone. We proudly study each and every aspect of Mughal Empires, British Raj, with no bias, just facts.
Indian youth has no time to even think about Pak. Our parents are after our lives to study, work, and create. Our stock markets are creating immense value for investors. When external media mentions India's Infra, it comes out all weird. Coz we don't even for a moment think about the lack. With jugaad, innovation, and policy making, we make things happen. To me, roads, UPI, Fintech, Banks, Aadhar, Tax Reforms, Political Stability, Elections, Affordable Food, Digital Services, this is all a given. These were basics that were missing once upon a time, we didn't consider them special, and as such demanded for all this to exist. It was willed into existence by each person, as a community. And it came to be. Anything happening via logic, planning, long term goal making, economic prosperity, is always welcome by all.
Having had many muslim friends, never for a second there's a thought that anyone else is different than me. We've studied together, lived in hostels together, celebrated each other at each turn. Practicing religion is also a personal thing to us. We don't really bother with anyone else's religion, culture, festivals. To us equality for all is a fundamental thing.
There are ofcourse bad elements. Be it freedom of media, corruption, politics, inflation, but we are improving 1% every day. All the above is the compounding of that 1% growth over decades. And it will continue. Nifty will keep giving 14% CAGR for decades to come. India is just starting. There's abundance of everything. It doesn't flow to to the poor right away, but it is changing each day. For people to get great wages, their job giving companies need to make great businesses, for that the investors need to win, for that select individuals need to become multi-millionaires, and billionaires. That's how wealth gets created and distributed. It's never equal, but it is there.
If cricket is a religion, so is education for us, so is entrepreneurship. Then there's the religion your family was born into. We practice all, together. Always have.

Issue with Pakistan is it will import things from Middle east of essential items, but what they dont under stand that the country of origin is from India. The cost rapidly increases by transportation and increase of middle men when routwd from erd country. Direct import can halve cost of such items.
