Hm... I had a 96 Chevy Monte Carlo. It was a piece of junk. Thought about getting an impala, but too many used impalas on the market. Clearly means they're just not good.
Well I am the 3rd owner of my 2005 chevy impala and it serves me great with 298000 kms. I know all the car's history and baby it.

I own and impala had it for almost 8 years and runs strong with no issues.
A car can last as long as possible if you properly maintain it.

2008 impala LT. 250,00 miles. Running smooth. Although I did go through all the problems. Tires were wearing prematurely, fixed that. Gas pedal, fixed that. Actuators, fixed that. Now transmission. I am happy for my Impala
@@markj6681 I have a 2005 I bought in 2007. Still driving it. Biggest issue was the sunroof got plugged and the wetness is now causing the roof liner to droop.

True I had a 07 Chevy Impala LT 3.4 v6 I traded it in for a 2016 Chevy Impala LTZ the miles on the 07 was 240,000 I only fix two major issues the rear main seal and the water pump but I also was the second owner of a used car
I have a 2007 Chevy impala and it has almost 200 thousand miles on it. I haven't had any major problems with it until Recently the transmission started to leak
My 2013 Impala currently has 233,000 miles. It is easily the most reliable car I have ever owned. Sure it has required some maintenance but most parts come cheap and are easy fixes.
My 2013 Malibu agrees.
That's the problem, people on these comments think you can buy a used car and not maintain & have to put money into it. Any used car will require maintenance.
My dad 2016 impala has 235k miles on it and it’s still fine the only thing he replaced was the o2 sensor and the water pump
one hundred percent.
My 2013 impala has 145k and still going strong. Just oil changes and alignments. She still pushes like she has 30k miles.
We have a 2014 Impala LTZ fully loaded with 3.6 Liter engine. Has 165,000 miles and looks and drives amazing. Super quiet ride. Great power and handling. Gets about 32 MPG on the highway with more room than just about any other sedan on the market. I've done all my own maintenance and I have been impressed with the quality of the engineering of the car. Can't speak on the older ones, but the 2014-2021 Impala's were great cars. Never ridden in any Toyota that compares to the ride of my Impala.
I've got a 2001 impala with almost 300k miles on it and havent had any major issues.
Carter's Cars 💯💯💯 on that one.
I hope my 2016 impala lasts up to that kinda mileage 👍💪

Being a GM tech at a dealership we see far less impalas than any other car in the GM lineup. So i would have to highly disagree with you scotty. The newer Impalas are holding up very well. The chevy cruze on the other hand lol.
I have a 2017 impala v6 i only run e85 an it has 90k miles..im getting ready to give it a tuneup..i love it
Scotty does like to bash american cars and i have found him to be wrong so i buy cars he says are bad and it has worked for me.
I bought my 2015 v6 LT in 2018 with 71k miles, 4 years later now with 86k miles i had my 1st problem today...left front directional light failure, I bought the bulb for like 7 bucks and replaced it myself...love my impala
Yeah my Cruze had a blown piston and now it has a messed up computer sending out all sorts of codes. But, piston was replaced under warranty at 65,000. Thank you GM. And well, now it’s at 164,000 miles, so I can’t be too upset with my little Cruze. I think Toyotas are more reliable, but why would I want to drive something so boring, slow to break and slow to steer. I’ll take the Impala giving out at 170,000 over the Avalon lasting me 200,000 every time.

Own a 2016 impala with 150,000 miles. No issues ever, i have done regular maintenance everytime. The thing is a champ.
Heck yeah brother mine's a 2016 with 126,000 miles and no issues either
had to get my trans rebuilt at 75,000 🥲
My 2014 Impala has 167,000 miles been around the country the only issue that I had was my water pump went out at 42,000 miles no issues since. I will put it on the road anytime and anywhere. Still running smooth and gets 650 miles to the tank if you drive 65-70 mph. Great road car rides very smooth and quiet. Very reliable car just do your routine maintenance.
I have two impalas and the only major issues was one had the power steering pump replaced and one has had all those dang ac actuators go out a handful of times but those are just annoying to replace not a huge issue just annoying. Both have been very solid, decent on gas, and never left me stranded!
2014 is still pretty new only 9 year's old, how's the frame look? My 07 Impala runs still with 208k miles but the frame is pretty rusted down the rocker area
Same with my bmw. People kept saying it would fall apart but here we are

I bought my Impala with 20k miles on it. It currently has 146k miles with no issues. I take care of it and it takes care of me👍🏼Chevy is King!💪🏽💯👍🏼
Had 400,000 plus miles on a 2000 Impala with a 3.8. It still ran strong. I had so many miles on it my company wouldn't even reimburse me for the mileage anymore because they didn't have a chart system where they could determine what to pay me. I literally had to replace it with another vehicle because it was off their chart. So I did the smart thing, I bought a Grand Prix with the 3800 engine in it and they paid for that one instead. Scotty, you of all people should know the 3800 is a beast to reckon with with reliability. It just is. If The Avalons were that great you'd see more than one or two of them every now and then. As someone who worked for a Toyota dealer briefly we definitely sold plenty of them. They're not around anymore for a reason. There's Impalas everywhere.

My 2003 impala with a 3800 has 350k. I I Drive 120 mile round trip to work.
I have a 14 impala LT with 110,00 miles and its running great

I know a guy who put 200.000+ miles in less than 2 years! He drives a 13' Toyota Hilux. It's now for sale with about 300.000 miles on it. The funny thing here that its engine and transmission still in a very good condition! lol
He speaks the Truth sometimes it hurts, especially if you own a Chevy Impala.
Nice looking cars, wouldn't really own one for frugal sake.

I know. I 've had two 9th gen Impalas. I would not deny it. I still love them though. Just like some people love VW, despite they are even worse when it comes to reliability.

07 impala 176k miles, crashed it once .. honestly engine has been good bought it for 2,500$ had it for 3 years ...very satisfied 👍

Personally disagree with you, properly maintained any car can last high miles Chevy Ford Toyota etc.
Where I live Toyotas don’t last they become rot out, so do the GM’s and Fords, but still the Toyotas go first for the most part.
I'm glad seeing some reasonable comments on here and I agree. Most people here are like, ChEvY iS jUnK, gO ToYoTa.
NE Ohio snow belt, we put down more salt than most areas. 06 still rolling. Car still looks good with no rust holes 06 with 175k plus miles.

It seems like Scotty has a biased opinion against anything that’s not Toyota and or foreign.
Case in point, we have and had GM vehicles with well over 500,000 kilometres, which is around 310,000 miles, only requiring the basic maintenance and replacement parts when needed, nothing major.
Correct me if I’m wrong most Toyotas and or foreign vehicles require the timing belt and or chain replaced every 100,000 miles...
JP Eazzy Had a 99 Grand Am lasted 16+ years until the engine started knocking due to lack of oil just regular maintenance on the car.

I love Scotty's videos but from personal experience have to disagree about how long the Impala will last. I've owned 3 over the past 10 years selling commercial insurance and have put over 200k miles on each before selling and with regular maintenance never a major problem. Definitely won't argue about a Toyota lasting longer. The Impala is much bigger on the inside so to me is more comfortable spending a lot of time in the vehicle. Thanks again for your great videos!
I have a '13 that I bought 5 yrs ago with 80k miles. Have since put 90k on it with very little maintenance. Also an insurance agent.
If you do the proper maintenance and it's mostly highway miles, it seems like Impalas can go a long time. Most mechanics I know use them for their loaner cars. I'm guessing because they're cheap, have cheap parts, and fairly easy to work on.
What year was your Impala's I'm currently looking to buy a 2016 model.
Mine was a 2015. Regular maintenance is key!
The 2014 and up Impala is quite a car though. I've driven a recent Avalon and was not very impressed, though I do like the styling quite a bit (except the front end). I haven't driven the Impala but car reviewers seem to have been universally pleased with how it drives.
I think that the best generation of the impala was the 1967 one.

Thats all I own is GM vehicles and never had a problem with them, my first car was a 84' Cutlass best car, and now I own a 05 Chevy Colorado with 185,000 miles and not one bit of trouble, but I take care of my rides.
Finally a good comment. I'm tired of seeing non GM owners go ChEvY iMpAlA aNd Gm Is JuNk.

Some people don't take care of their car and wonder why they acting up and having all types of problems!
nageo ford People expect to get a car and dont want to pay to get it fixed. They want it to just start up and go not knowing or thinking of wear and tear. Ive had mostly gm cars through out my life. They all were solid with no issues. My 95 oldsmobile was the only one with electrical issues. Once it was fixed it stayed running till I sold it to a mechanic at 160k miles. Ill always stick with Chevy. And german cars. Especially a Audi or Mercedes
Several friends of mine drive the current Impala. For the most part all are very happy with their rides. Very roomy, extremely quiet, huge trunk.
I have a 2012 Impala LT with 155k miles on it, mostly highway driving. The most I've ever had to do outside of the routine/annual maintenance is replace a single wheel bearing, which was only around $180 if I recall. She is still running strong and I've been extremely happy with it.
06 Impala at 175k miles. Running strong. Putting about 30k miles a year and no issues. Rides great and has bose sound system which sounds amazing. Pretty satisfied with my Impala.
Do you have contempt for american cars? Ive driven a Chevy 4x4 that had over 400,000 miles on it. Our 2004 GMC Envoy has over 300,000 on it.
Over the years we’ve had lots of Gms. They are usually great cars if you PROPERLY MAINTAIN THEM. I’m sure you do, but most people don’t so they die early. We had a 1991 caprice wagon. That lasted from 1996 to 2014 with 400k miles. We then had a 1992 Buick road master. We got it in 2000 and let go of it in 2012. It had 275k miles on it. We had a 2003 Chevy Venture. Got it in 2006, lost it when it was totaled in 2013 with 180k miles on it. It still ran like a top. We had a 2001 Chevy blazer that we got in 2003 and sold to a family friend in 2014 with 220k miles on it. Not to mention we had 2 1994 Pontiac grand ams. Those were great. We got rid of those both in 2017. One had 250k miles and the other had 350k miles. We also had a 2004 Grand Am which we sold at the same time because we really never used it. It had 140k miles and it was so nice and ran perfectly. We also had 2 2005 Chevy impalas. One was my dads, the other my mom’s. My mom handed one down to my older brother. He drowns it and it died at 280k miles. She got a 2017 Impala and it has 80k mile with no issues. My dad eventually upgraded(last year) to a 2018 Chevy Tahoe. It has 60k miles. The impala was fine with 200k miles. Our last vehicles to mention are out 450k mile 2003 Yukon xl. We have towed, off roaded, driven it in snowy days all the time. Driven it across the country and back multiple times since getting it brand new back in 2003. It’s still going strong. We don’t want to give it up so it’s going to stay until it dies. We also have a 2006 Trailblazer. We bought it to have a better fuel mileage about 6 years ago. We don’t drive it much, as it has turned into our beater and hauler for large things. It has 170k miles and is running well. It’s kind of ratty looking and corroded as it has always sat outside durning New England winters. But it works.
@@jonathantanasi2557 Godamn, you've went through a lot of cars. Guess my opinion of Chevys might have just changed. What do you do for maintenance, cuz whatever you do works like a charm. And I'd like to keep my car for a long time.
@@jackbones309 well we drive a lot obviously so we can get all our cars up there in mileage. Rust protection because we live where there’s lots of snow. Very extensive and schedule fluid changes that we do ourselves. We don’t drive them hard at all. Anything that needs to be done on it we get done. Very basic yet thorough maintenance an make them last forever. Than again also the older GM vehicles were made better.
@@jonathantanasi2557 Gotcha. Appreciate the input. I'm gonna be getting my hands on an '06 Chevy Impala and I wanna take care of it the best I can to make it last since it'll be my first car and I don't wanna be needing a new one anytime soon.
@@jackbones309 sounds like a good plan. Do you have the miles and whatnot on it? Maybe the amount of owners to know if it has been abused. Hopefully it hasn’t and it should last for a while. We haven’t owned that generation of Impala so I’m not sure about the reliability but it should be good.

Ok I got 245 thousand miles on my Chevy Impala had to place a new transmission in it but I can say that most of my driving is highway
my grandpa bought a new Impala in 1969 and still going strong with over 300K miles on it.
Second Impala LTZ. I buy value. Got this 2013 Impala at 1/2 price in 2013!!! Got 70,000 miles on it now. Try that with an Avalon. Repairs: Purge control valve and a set of tires. Just inherited a 2003 Corolla; great car; love it; great mileage but rides like a go cart.

Some of the early 2000s Impalas had the 3800 series II engine, and they usually last 300K+ miles. The transmission probably won't last that long, though.
Nailed it. Had to replace the transmission last year, but we’re up to 243,000 miles - and it just floats down the road. Lots of highway miles, and I keep all 4 wheels on the road going around corners.
My 02 Impala is at 300,000 I believe and it still has original transmission original engine only thing I had to change so far is a couple of fuses and the air filter because it was my aunt's before mine and we both live on gravel roads it doesn't over heat anymore just minor things for being driven consistently for about 17 out of last 20 years
My 2008 Impala has 234K and is still going strong.
Mine 2009 150k . No majors issues just oil change basically.

Yes my 2010 just rolled over 200,000 I've had to replace wheel bearings, rack and pinion and a few other relatively minor stuff. I'll get at least another 100K if not another 200K.
I change oil and filter religiously every 5000 miles. I use a Castrol semi synthetic.
Reached 300K earlier this month. Still going strong but showing its age.
I honestly love my 2006 Chevy Impala. I have almost 300k miles on it. I recently drove it from Minnesota to Alabama with my recent move. I've driven it in blizzards, slushy snow, ice, etc., and I've never had an accident (Praise!). I generally drive in (small) towns, in the country, and on major highways/interstates. I absolutely love my first car, and I will be quite sad when it is due to retire. I do notice, however, that there are not many Chevy Impala drivers (in the 'older' models like mine) down in the south. I wonder if it is generally seen as a better northern car, or perhaps the Impala doesn't do as well in the heat (maybe neither)? They're very very common in the Minnesota area; just a general observation! Fortunately, my mother has offered to donate her 2012 Chevy Malibu once my Impala retires. While that's a huge blessing, and I'm truly thankful for her generosity to give me her old car for an upgrade... I dread the day - as I really dislike some small things (and quite petty, I'll admit) about the Chevy Malibu. My point is, I really, really love my Impala. My family has only ever had cars/pickups from chevy or ford (we once had a Buick Century), so I have no say on whether any other car company/models would be better. I'm content, and I've had a great experience in my humble boat of a car. Thanks for reading my book.
Impalas are big in Florida. I have two of them, a 2009 and a 2011. I see a lot of them all over Florida. Probably see 10-15 9th generation ones every day and 5-10 8th generation ones every day. And the occasion 90’s one.
My dad has a 2016 Chevy impala , he's pretty pleased with it , it got about 110k miles on it .
I think it's more to the way he's driving it , usually highways and with no more than 2.5k rpm tops 😅
I have a 2017 and so far so good, I'll get back with you after 100,000 miles

2012 impala 3.6 vvt di. 216,500 miles . Been beat!!! Gets beaten!!! First 20,000 miles as a Hertz rental. So far I've had to replace the evap purge solenoid..........300hp 30 mpg on the highway. Runs mint. Everything works
Have an 07 ltz with 3900 v6. Thing is a beast in a straight line. Yes, it leaks trans fluid and oil and coolant, yes it's loud, yes there's a permanent check light, yes the doors are coffins, yes the windshield spray is weak and half broke, but you know what? The thing has never died. My 2015 mazda 3 transmission died at 60k..
I bought a chevy impala new in 2005 and have owned it for 13 years and it currently has 295,000 miles on it and it is a sturdy reliable vehicle.
Check the frame
I have almost 100K miles on my 2018 Impala. Only thing I've replaced is a sway bar and struts, and nothing is wrong with it. And ironically, the least reliable car I owned was a Toyota, lol
I have an 06 impala with 206,000 and it works perfectly
The 1990s Impala/Caprice was a different story. The 305 and 350 engines were indestructible.
I love my 2009 Impala. Been totally reliable. Simple car to own and fix if needed. But those Toyotas and Hondas are great too
I bought a 2004 Impala as a program car back in 2004, and it is now 2019 and all I can say is that it is the best car I have ever owned! Other than replacing brakes, the original battery after 15 years, and a ball bearing, I have had absolutely NO problems with the car mechanically. I would buy another one in a heartbeat! It has decent gas mileage, and is a nice looking car..... but most importantly, I have never owned anything to compare it with mechanically! Because of that, it is the longest I have ever kept a car in my whole life! I am only now considering buying another car, but only because I need a 4WD to get out of my driveway in very bad snows!
Kudos to you for making a car last 15 years in a snowy terrain. Impressive!
His frame is probably rusted like my 07 impala in Michigan, all down the frame where the bead welds are on both sides is rusted
i have been driving my 2015 Impala ltz since 2015 with no issues at all except summer of 2023 where i had to replace the water pump. Thats it. Very great car indeeeeeeeeeed.
I have a 2003 Impala with 243,000 miles on it and it runs like a dream
But real people in Chevy commercials told me that the impala has the most JD Powah awards for best initial quality!
I think all cars are the same now, with same build and components.

2019 impala here. 62k miles and still going strong 💪🏻 with minimal issues and basic maintenance.
Update?
My 2014 Impala with 95,000 miles is still going strong. I did have the air conditioner compressor replaced, like Scotty mentioned. It was covered under an Endurance service contract.

I got an 09 with 72k miles on it and today, a hot sunny day, after supermarket shopping, it failed to start up for me. It cranked one time and then stopped. Scared the hell out of me. Thankfully it started on the 2nd attempt.
Other problems: HVAC may just not work sometimes. The power locks started failing at around 50k miles (only 1 works now). Had to replace the Secondary Air Injection Valve. Had to replace EVAP Solenoid Vent Valve.
Very disappointed having these problems (no start scare & no HVAC scare) on a car with such low mileage … that I baby.
Hmm. I've been driving my 04 Impala (unknown amount of previous owners) and for the most part its only had valve cover gasket replacement and passlock system issues and an ABS sensor went bad. Other than that, not a bad ride for 168k miles.
Impalas are the optimal vehicle for high mileage usage. Especially if you had the older 3.8L 3800 Series 3 engines. Those would go for half a million miles easy. Come on man! Give credit where deserved. The new ones are very very nice.

I put 45k miles, mostly highway, on my 2016 impala in its 1st year. I’ve had to replace a window actuator and transmission clutch due to factory defects. My baby is still going strong, and I love my Impala. Bummed Chevy decided to discontinue it.
my aunts 2006 impala is lasting so long, it’s lasted for 11 years she had, it has 200K miles on it and it runs amazing.
Currently have a 2016 chevy impala Lt limited with 160006 miles on it. Only repairs I’ve had done to it was replace the mass air flow sensor, other than that no check engine light has came one since I bought it at 60,000 miles. I’ve done regular maintenance to it and it has been running like new. I am completely in love with this car, so much room, very smooth ride and the v6 engine is pretty good on gas especially on road trips. I stand behind the Chevy impala all the way, won’t trade this car in for anything ❤
2015 Chevy Impala XLT 250,000+ miles and going strong. Oil, plugs, brakes, general maintenance..., otherwise still going strong. 170 miles trip every day...

I don't agree at all. Any and every car falls apart if you don't maintain them....even Toyota's . I have a 2004 Impala SS with 180K and it runs flawlessly. All original regular maintenance. Just replaced an alternator and water pump tires and brakes over the last 4 years.

Nissan Skyline1992 the 3.6 is a lot better. I got a 13 with no issues, but only had it for a year with 80k. Only thing I hate is the fuckjng traction control and front wheel drive
1958 - 1965 are the real Impalas. So beautiful the old ones. The newer ones aren't as cool. No style. 60s ones had style.
I recently traded in my 2004 Impala for a 2016. The 2004 had 256k miles on it. Headlight wiring, instrument cluster and starter were the only big repairs. The 2016 has 305 hp engine

Scotty is bang on. I made my living on the road and had new cars every 2-3 years. Fords, GM's and Chryslers all started to fall apart at the 65,000 mile mark. Struts, front ends, brakes, brakes and pretty much everything else was either worn out or just plain broke. The dealers loved to get you into their garage where they had no mercy....not a bit.

Had a 2006 Impala w/3.9L and from 10K-40K, from 2006-2009 had the Transmission clutch piston replaced twice and car still had a weird shudder at 1-2mph in traffic, wheel bearing replaced, Blend door actuator replaced, all tire pressure monitors replaced, coolant cross pipe replaced and sold the car. bought a 2012 Impala with 3.6L and from 29K -100K only problems with Stability Control harness and Intake manifold and 30K and zero problems from then until except blend door actuator which still are failing after this car being out 6 yrs. 100-110K had Fuel Pump failure EGR Solenoid Failure and Fuel needed started acting erratic causing em to run out of gas, but then fixed itself after 2-3 treatments of fuel cleaners.
Im sure the 2014-2018 Impala are very good cars, the only thing Ive sen people complain about is the failure of the High pressure Fuel Pump on some of them.
The 2012-2016 Impala limited would be a good basic transportation and shouldnt really give much problems if taken care of and the 14-18 should be very good as well. I would avoid the Impalas before then.

I think Scotty's just a huge Toyota fanboy-impalas are great cars, the two that we have get around 1,000 miles a month and drive through dirt mud snow and just about everything and the only thing that's ever gone wrong is the transmission on the old one went out a couple years back after around 175,000 miles. Replaced and haven't had a problem since!
My mom impala 2014 LS 2.5 has over 238,698 and is still going very strong, only problem were the camshaft at 178k and that’s it nothing else!
Currently driving a 2016 Impala with 102K miles with no issues. Regular maintenance, had it’s tune up and transmission and coolant maintenance done on it. That’s because I drive it a little hard sometimes but I always use the best products on it when it comes to maintenance.
I had one of the new impalas as a rental and I liked the way it drove. I had the model with the 3.6l v6. I might buy a used one in a few years when they are cheap.
Scotty is just dead wrong. If you maintain an Impala or Taurus, they can last a long time, especially the Impalas. I know two people with 2014 Impalas over 300,000 miles.
If there is any obvious indication, check the used car sales. Usually the most cars on sale of the same brand is actually the one to avoid. Especially if a few years old, low mileage and seems like dirt cheap.

Scotty I can attest to what you said. My grandma had a 2003 Malibu and my mother had a 98 malibu. My mother's Malibu was a heap of junk. She babied it with oil changes every 3k miles and when it finally hit 95k miles it started knocking. At 105 k it was so loud you could hear it a block away. My grandmas Malibu had went through 2 motors with less than 70k miles. The V6 engines from Gm Were junk. Yet her Infiniti I35 Has nearly 300k on the dash and no motor or transmission problems.

See the thing is, yes malibus are horrible, but they have nothing to do with Impalas. I have two impalas and they both have never given me big issues or left me stranded. They’re great cars.

We have a 2013 Impala LTZ, has 136k miles on it now. Aside from basic maintenance, never have had to put much money into it. its been the most reliable vehicle we have ever owned.
I have a Dodge Ram, with 483,000 miles on it, still runs great.
A modern Chevrolet could never hit that number maybe a Ford 4.9 straight six could hit that number or a Jeep 4.O straight 6.

Cause yeah.. the old Dodges would do that too. 318s (5.2), 360s (5.9), 440s. Cummins.. but it isn’t a Dodge engine. But the HEMI? Forget it. Camshaft eaten before 150K.
@@calvinnickel9995 , 2003 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton, with a 5.7l Hemi. It is has a slight tick from the valves, but still running strong. I change the oil every 3000 miles, and the plugs every 10th oil change, which is not cheap, but worth it.

I put a Impala over any Toyota any day , technology and security while driving Toyota as like boats on the road ... my parents own only Chevrolet one with over 500k and I have a 2000 s10 with same engine and transmission which still runs very good for the age of the vehicle in other hand my new Tacoma is already with transmission problems and didn't even put any load on it .

I have to agree. My first Avalon lasted almost four and a half years before the motor needed a rebuild but the mileage was way up there with over 102,000 kms. It was thirsty for gas and had too much rust through to pass annual inspection (without some patching), so I managed to trade in for a used lawn tractor which I still use every week, so I got a good deal.
I owned 6 Ford Taurus's since 99, and put on about 850K, only 2 breakdowns, AC compressor seized, and belt tensioner snapped off. I like driving my 2013 Limited more than Avalon, or Impala, better car
I have had 3 Impalas in the last 14 years. Love them. First one was stollen and ran off a cliff, second one is my brothers car now, (with 226,000 miles on it) and my current one is a 2011 with 111,000 miles on it as of 2 weeks ago. That one was bought used and was previously a rental with an accident reported that broke the head light. Other then that, no damages to frame or rust on any part of the car.
I had a 2012 Impala. Got it 2014 with 36k mikes, I just traded it in last month with 138k on it. 4 years and only things I had to replace was the AC Compressor & Radiator.
Since I had to radiator, I went ahead and replaced the water pumper & thermostat. Car ran perfect and I beat the hell out of it.

For a brief period of time, the Impala was America's car. It was probably in the late 50s thru the 60s. I think they (Chevrolet) did some kind of joint venture with Toyota, at some point in time. I've never owned one, but I've always heard they were good cars.

2017 impala lt 72,000 miles no issues AT ALL and it will keep going.
If anyone wants an impala, get one after 2011 with the 3600 V6, or the 94-96 LT1 Impala SS. Owners I know of the 2012 and up impala and impala limited love them. And not everyone wants a Toyota, so I guess that is why he wants one. Also, there's a reason rental companies like W Body Impalas (Impala Limited) As well as police departments who used to buy them. I would love to hear more reviews like this. So often it seems all the cars are so close on paper but the truth is how do they look at 100000 miles and which car would get me that far the cheapest with the least troubles.

I'm just saying, I have a 2007 charger and with over 140k miles on it and it hasn't had catastrophic failure. I even hit a guardrail going pretty fast backing into a parking spot and for sure thought the bumper was toast. Nope I was wrong not even one dent. If it was a plastic Toyota it would have been destroyed. Plus the car I own is pretty fun to drive despite fuel efficiency and massive blind spots but that's what you expect with a massive car.

Every Chevy Ive owned had a V8 until I got this 2013 2.0 Turbo malibu. All of them ran strong. The Malibu is 70k and still runs like its new. ANY car you get you will have to do maintenance on it. Doesn't matter what brand it is. You should know routine maintenance Scotty. Yea some can go longer without maintenance but they all will need it down the road if you want it to keep running.
I had a 2008 impala that had no issues. Except 1. Around 100k I had the brakes changed and they weren’t as good as the old ones. They didn’t stop short enough to keep me from totaling the car out. Oy. I have a 2014 Buick Verano now. Bought it brand new and now I have 105k and absolutely no issues, still on the original brakes.
I have a Crystal Red 2014 2LT Impala with 95K miles, other than an AC blend door actuator, I've had no other issues. Still looks like new and rides like new. I'm pleased with it.
My friend's first car was a 2001 impala. It seemed like a new problem always popped up when an old problem was fixed. So he replaced it with another unreliable car called the mazda rx8 lmao
