@@errorcode9542 well so that is really interesting, Signalis is set in a world where you are in a harsh regime based on / founded from communist east germany, the flag of theirs is just a sci-fi version of the east german original. they do a lot of interesting things with it but the point is, that is why they speak german.

Long story short those are corrupted (enemy) Replika (android) units that kill you with bioresonance (their MINDS make you go BOOM)
The game SIGNALIS has German/ Chinese language and characters all throughout it. It's part of the visual style. Definitely recommend giving the game a try; if lesbian robots witnessing cosmic horrors, in a classic Resident Evil/ Silent Hill gameplay with cassette futurism Ala Alien/ Balderunner setting, sounds appealing to you.

In SIGNALIS, whenever you're attacked by a Kolibri, your interface rapidly starts going insane. STIRB flashing on the screen is one of the many things that can happen.

Besides Tumblr is fairly customisable so it's closer to blogs of yonder than it is to most Web 2 media like Facebook

Having not played Signalis, and seeing how much Quills is memeing about it, is she one of the VAs in the game?
To my knowledge, there isn’t a whole lot, if any, VA work in Signalis, so she’s just obsessed with it right now
I highly recommend you play it! If you like classic-themed survival horror games. :)
