Verbi riflessivi are a subset of intransitive verbs of the pronominal family whose action is carried out by the subject and received by the subject. Think of washing yourself, enjoying yourself orgetting dressed.
Verbi Riflessivi do not have any direct object (other than themselves); their infinitives are distinguished by the ending in -si; they avail themselves of little pronouns called reflexive pronouns to do their work (and which help you recognize them).

    It was Great.
But if you could emphasize the difference between chiamare and chiamarsi, it would be much better.
I am an A1 Student and I'm trying to understand the difference.
    Overall thanks 🙏👍

      My pleasure!
Chiamare is not reflexive therefore it involves 2 or more people. You call someone else. “Ti chiamo”, I’m doing the action and you are receiving my call.
Chiamarsi, being reflexive, involves only one subject at the time. “Mi chiamo Edoardo” is only about myself, nobody else is involved. It is the same with all reflexive verbs.
Many verbs can be used either in a non-reflexive or in a reflexive way.
      Sposare/sposarsi
      Chiedere/chiedersi
      Fare/farsi
      Svegliare/svegliarsi
      And more.

      @@Italessons thanks 👍
      Ummmm. For example like:
      Ti presento il signora Vinci.
I am doing the introduction to you, right?
      I'm introducing.
