  • Hisense dehumidifier Error E9 - Understanding Origins, Resolutions, and Practical Fixes (Overcome the Problem). In this video, we will be talking about the Hisense dehumidifier error e9 - Meaning, Causes, and Solutions.
Hisense dehumidifier error e9 is an error code indicating a humidity sensor malfunction. The Hisense dehumidifier contains a humidity sensor that maintains its relative humidity level. The error code e9 implies a problem with the sensor’s circuits or the humidity sensor is open to the elements, causing a communication barrier between the dehumidifier and the sensor.
The following are some of the common causes of the e9 error:
    A faulty humidity sensor
When there is a problem with the temperature and humidity sensor, the dehumidifier will display an error e9 due to the enormous difference in the temperature and multimeter reading of the resistance.
    Poor wire connections
If the wires are poorly connected or loose, the error code e9 can appear on the dehumidifier.
    Problem with the circuit boards
The error can also occur if there is an issue with the sensor’s circuit boards.

I unplugged my sensor and get an E1 code. It seems to run nonstop now BUT I don’t think it’s kicking the compressor on. Is there a way to bypass and have the compressor just stay on?
