*******(Update 6/6/24)*******
I've been using the Amazon unit for two seasons now without any issues! I highly recommend it, and I also got the extended warranty just in case.
Hisense dehumidifier in my opinion are complete garbage! 3 units died one after another the 3rd unit only worked for 2 months. Terrible units do you have research and stay away!
Warning: Hisense Dehumidifiers Are Complete Garbage!
Review:
I recently experienced a nightmare with Hisense dehumidifiers, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to prevent others from falling into the same trap. In my honest opinion, these units are nothing short of complete garbage.
Within a short span of time, I purchased not one, not two, but three Hisense dehumidifiers, and each one met its demise in a manner that can only be described as frustratingly consistent. The first unit malfunctioned just weeks after purchase, leaving me baffled and disappointed. Thinking it might have been a stroke of bad luck, I exchanged it for a replacement, only to face the same fate - a malfunctioning appliance that failed to live up to its promises.
Determined to give the brand one last chance, I reluctantly acquired a third Hisense dehumidifier, hoping that the previous mishaps were mere outliers. However, my optimism was short-lived as this unit too succumbed to failure after a mere two months of use. It's safe to say that my experience with Hisense dehumidifiers has been nothing short of a nightmare.
In conclusion, I urge anyone considering purchasing a Hisense dehumidifier to think twice and steer clear of these terrible units. Learn from my mistake - do your research, read reviews, and invest in a brand that values quality and reliability. Trust me, the headache and frustration of dealing with Hisense dehumidifiers are simply not worth it. Stay away at all costs.

*This humidifier works great **Fastly.Cool** to keep our crawlspace at the proper level of humidity. It was an excellent price and shipped so fast we were amazed!*
I hope you have better luck than me! Lot's of people have the same issues as me my Frigidaire is working great though I just plugged it in this week and perfect!
@@LEX508UA-cam My Frigidaire died in less than a year. Coil ices over after 5 min. Coolant has all leaked out the best I can tell. After 3 weeks of calling, e-mailing, twittering, I still have no replacement. Original paperwork I sent in was received OK, got a confirmation saying so, was told 10 business days and I'd have a new one. On week 3 now and no one can tell me what's going on. Prior to this, I had a Hisense that lasted 8 years.
I'm not sure how they get away with this! They keep making a product they fails over and over unbelievable!
@@LEX508UA-cam just like Nissan’s CVT.
Lol!
I got a Hisense dehumidifier last year. It is basically good for one season. Then it no longer pulls water out of the air. The unit is on, lights are on but no activity. The unit comes in a really nice case with a beautiful control panel. That's about it. Probably one of the prettiest non-working dehumidifiers on the market.
I have the same problem with Hisense. The original one died within warranty, was replaced with DH7019KP1WG, it also failed with an E9 code but outside of the 2-year warranty. I had my unit plugged in all year. So, here I am, trying to figure out the problem to fix it myself. Personally, I agree, Hisense brand dehumidifiers are junk, I will not buy another one. But, it seems all dehumidifiers are junk.
Well, I definitely agree that all dehumidifiers are junk hisense are the worst! 😆
Thanks for this, mine lasted about 2 weeks and then I sent it right back to costco, same issue ran but didn't take moisture out only did that for the first week, thanks to your video I didn't try to replace it.
Wow 2 weeks how terrible! It's amazing how they make any money all they sell is junk!
I've have had the energy star for 9yrs. Runs 24/7 except when I clean the filters. I also had your problem the first week. I called HISense and they told me to run it in continuous mode for 24hrs. When I checked it and it had water. Mine is set on 42% in manual mode. Mine has worked flawless for the past 9 years.
Try it and see if it works for you 😉 What do you have to loose? Good Luck 👍
I agree. JUNK... 3 died after just 2 years. Same thing e9 problem every time!
Yup 100% junk!
E9 showing on mine, 3 years old!
I'm surprised it didn't come sooner. These are garbage!
In Canada they are sold under the Noma brand. Exact same dehumidifier and exact same piece of crap. Mine failed outside the warranty, the infamous humidity control sensor. Tried to clean sensor , worked one day. Bought one from eBay , didn't work either. Now I have to find out how I dispose of this thing. Mean while my Viking dehumidifier, built in good old North America , ( bought in '84) is still chugging along collecting atmospheric moisture :) .
I don't know about the rest of the units (got mine from Lowes too) it has worked nonstop for over nine years and makes lots of water. BTW in other countries they put a tap on the water bucket and call it a "water finder" great for plants or emergencies
Looks like you got a good one! 👍
I have an old Hisense that's worked well for years as well. Maybe the quality declined over time. But I'll bet that most dehumidifiers these days, no matter what the brand is, are built using the same cheap Chinese components, possibly even built in the same factory. I know that's the case with a lot of other products now.
This is a significant reason I keep my Costco membership current and always buy stuff like this from them. I'm on my third Hisense dehumidifier and I think they manufacture them with dye in the coolant, because the first one died (probably humidistat) but the latest one would seem to have leaked coolant inside of the case.
I've been having good luck with the Amazon basic unit so far; there are no issues on my second season.
Mine is giving me E9. Glad I watched this before trying to replace sensor
Mine too! So no need, huh?
I wouldn't waste my time. I tried and nothing.
I bought one today 8-1-2024 so it is working now i will get back to you when it srops if it it does positive vibe
We bought one 5 years ago. No issues until now. Leaking underneath. Videos I’ve watched, explain how these get dirty and clogged. I’m hoping a thorough cleaning will help
Well at least you have six set of casters you can repurpose on another project. I have salvaged several parts before taking my two dead units to the recycling center.
Took mine off specifically to save them for something else. 6 months later I can’t find them. Really gotta organize my bits and bobs cabinet. 😅
I've had the 50 pint model for well over two years and it works flawlessly
Hopefully it will keep working!
You might have the only one that lasted that long!!!
Probably true lol!
I've been using my two for two years. No problems so far.
That's great hopefully it stays that way. What model do you have?
Same thing happened to me. Purchased a Hisense DH&021K1W 50 pint dehumidifier from Lowes. Worked for one season. When I plugged it in after not using it in the winter, it would not collect water. Coils are clean and dust free, Fan does function.
Yup! Mine happened 3 times what a terrible product!
Same here
@@LEX508UA-cam
Same here. I bought two of this kind of junk from Lowes, Lowell, Mass. At the time, although I found it fishy for Lowes to carry one brand only, it was urgent and bought them anyway. After watching this video, not even bothering getting replacement. So much for Lowes! I am moving on with other brand from other retailer.
@MA-rn3sp Yup Lowe's in Raynham Massachusetts same crap!
I'm looking to buy a dehumidifier, won't be buying this brand. Thanks for the vid!
Your welcome!
Error code-E9...I have a DH35K1W....it lasted 2.5 summers which means it went past the warranty (2 years)....the unit it replaced a Whirlpool lasted 13 years. I'll never buy another product that they make. I bought mine from Lowe's also.
Thanks for sharing your comment it will help others! 👍
I'm going to pick up a factory refurbished DH5023KP for 50 bucks. In the North East there's a chain called Ocean States Job Lots. They have this gimmick called Crazy Deals. You pay the price, they give you a gift card for all or some of the price for future purchases. In this case 250 with a 200 gift card. I have a Frigidaire in the basement that I've had for a few years with a EC code. First it was ice. Filter was clean. Let it thaw out for a day or 2, and it seemed to work for a few days. The refurbs have a 4.4/5 rating out of the small group of comments. Only a few not 5s. Bucket leak and wrong instructions. But, the reviews are also based on "Bought it, plugged it in, it works". Hardly worth anything for the long term.
This one will probably break, down the road. I've rarely heard from anyone with any brand that has 100% great luck with any brand. This store has a bunch of TCLs from 180 to 250. Nothing says those are better than a refurb. Or worse. That's the world we live in.
I've had it for a month or so now, so far so good. As I said, net price is 50 bucks. Going to take forever to chew through that gift card. I've got 2 others from there for a total of around 300 bucks. But it's still "Free" though it's going to take awhile. I have a sump pump hole in the basement and the last unit had a garden hose hooked to it. I'm a little leery about doing that with this one right now. I'm letting the bucket fill up so, the machine shuts off based on the bucket being full. I'm hoping the "Down Time" helps it, but that's probably wishful thinking. If I knew that off cycles helped, I'd get an Alexa compatible smart plug that would turn on and off based on a routine and then hook the hose up.
Hisense=Noma= junk as well.
My Noma crapped out after two seasons.
Replaced the RH sensor and the Capacitor for the compressor…no go…
The compressor is running hot but the coils are moderately cold which leads me to believe we’ve had a Freon leak…
Bye bye dehumidifier …..
We’ve had no problems with ours. Bought it in 2019. Starting to leak from underneath now. Watched videos of a guy taking apart and cleaning coils and drain holes. I’m hoping that will help.
I use a dehumidifier in my basement during the summer season. I replaced an older one that died with the second Hisense in this video (I think I bought it at Lowe's also). It worked for two seasons and then didn't condensate sometime during the third season. I have been using it anyway, it is essentially a fan at this point, so it doesn't really help. I am going to get a new one, a different and hopefully more reliable brand / model, then I will come back to the Hisense to see if I can fix it. The thing that really irks me is that it cost about $260 and lasted only 2 1/2 seasons, or maybe 10 months (use is about 4 months per season), so that is roughly $26 per month. The cost of the unit including a replacement does not justify me buying the same unit again. I am not surprised, as it is made in China. Sorry Hisense, you landed on my Do Not Buy list because your dehumidifier product is junk.
I agree 100%. Try the Amazon Basics. I'm on my second season with mine and it's working great so far.
Oh course, E9 just appeared on my Hisense...after seeing this and reading the other comments, my heart sank.
Oh boy that sucks! Hope you are still in warranty.
Mine said that too. I cleaned the back and it worked.
Hisense is garbage. I've had 2 die in the past 4 years. I'm surprised you got a 3rd out of them. They told me they would only do one replacement and after that I would have to have it repaired.
Repaired? Unless you work on HVAC systems for a living it is not economical repair.
Dude they're ALL junk. ALL of them. I purchased a commercial one 3 years ago (Global Industrial brand). Paid over $500. 110 pints. Worked great for ONE SEASON and then the coils froze up which means low on coolant which means it has a leak because you don't run out of coolant after just one season without having a leak somewhere. And of course they won't back up their product either. All JUNK and the frustrating part is that NO ONE services these things.
Yup 100% Junk I can't tell you how many people have messaged me about the same problem it's pretty sad!
I live in Texas and had to deal with the coldest winter ever with no electricity in 2021. Had a cheap valve bust under a sink in the bathroom. Water everywhere of corse. Any type of water damage co. was 2 to 3 weeks out because everybody else was going through the same thing. I water vacuumed what I could and bought 3 of these machines reluctantly. Had no other choice, and these were going fast. I put one in every part of the house that was affected. These dehumidifiers saved my butt big time. Sucked 3 gallons of water out of each unit every hour for the first 8 hours. After that slowly started taking a full day to fill them up. I could not believe it! I thought I was going to get ripped off buying 3 at $200 a pop. But it was the best decision I made and had. After 3 weeks it was dry as Arizona in my house. Normally I don’t buy Chinese products but under the extreme circumstances I had no other choice. I’m not sure about how long they will last but I was impressed with their abilities.
Hello sorry you had to deal with that! But I'm confused it was cold and the dehumidifier was working? It was humid?
@@LEX508UA-cam water coming from the pipe flood his home i think
I'm not sure I know my humidifier only works when it's very humid out and it removes water from the air I'm confused how it's helped with a broken pipe.
@@LEX508UA-cam by drying the air hard, the rest of the flooded house will release its moisture, specifically the drywall and the floors.
Nice to know! Thanks for the information. 👍
I have ONE WEEK left on my warranty and am glad I took action before it is too late. The old thing where you take it back to Lowes and they give you a replacement is done. You have to call the 877 Hisense number and it is a HUGE hassle! You have to fill out a form, take pictures and one of those pictures is of the unit with the cord cut off! Then, your claim will go into a giant pile of claims and they just might send you a replacement. RUN to another brand!!! From all of the problems we've all had with these things, I WISH there was a brand that's worth buying.
I went through that three times, and they all broke! Junk, in my opinion!
yeah, as soon as you open them, you see that they are really designed to be thrown in the landfill. The best way to clean is to spray the coil with dish soap, then alcohol, then vinegar, then alcohol again, and hope that all the flushing cleans out the pump inlet & passages :-/
I do have one that's been running long hours since 2016, but it takes a lot of cleaning out, and it likes to leak. And it only shows "E1" of course. I think that's the humidity sensor. But it runs anyhow, I just have to turn it off manually.
It's unfortunate that a modern product is not reliable.
We bought ours 5 years ago. It runs 24/7/365. No problem until now. Leaking underneath. I’m going to take apart and thoroughly clean. I’m thinking that should fix it
I got the cheapest, most feature-less Hisense at Lowe's (DH3020K1W). A year in and still going and I recently modded it with an AC motor controller for stepless fan control.
Hopefully, it will continue to work well. Mine sure didn't!
I just found one on a curb alert.I took it home and straight wired the compressor and the fan.I plug it in it works till I unplug it.I did the same thing on a window unit I have. Its a 7500btu.I use it when my 5000 wont cut it.I plug it in it cools till I unplug it.All those electronic controls are great till they fail.🙂
Do you have a video showing how you wired it? Thanks
The next day after posting my comment, I turned my replacement unit on and.......E9! Hisence products suck! I might buy a new one, and switch the back cover with the serial number on it, put it in the box and return it for a refund. "It's CrAzY! It was bad out of the box."
Terrible! It's ashame they look like quality machines.
@@LEX508UA-cam UPDATE. I checked with my credit card company and found out that I have and extended warranty coverage, so it added 1 year to the 2 year Hisense warranty. I filed a claim through my credit card company, and the claim was accepted, and I'm getting reimbursed for the cost of the unit, plus the diagnostic fee. They require you to take the unit to a repair shop and get a repair estimate, which cost $40. So, suck it Hisense!
Wow wish I thought of that! Thanks for the information hopefully someone else will benefit from it.👍
@@LEX508UA-cam Always save your reciept and warranty for purchases of stuff like this. You need them to file a claim. The online process is pretty easy, and the payout was fast.
Same issue. First one was still under warranty so HISENSE replaced it. Second one ran for a year and when I turned it on this year, same problem. This is a nearly $400 product.
Yes sir another great product from hisense these things are complete junk! I don't understand how they make something to last for months 😕
Ouch. Got mine at Costco on sale f
Hopefully it lasts make sure you keep your slip for warranty purposes.
The same thing happened to my humidifier. It worked then quite E9 - company I called. Still doesn't work. now I know why.
Mine is barely 5 months old. Throws an error code. Took it back to lowes who basically said sorry about your luck, call the company! Thank you Lowes for selling quality appliances. Ill remember that the next time I need to buy something. BTW, I've been in contact with Hisense for 2 days now and they are still giving me the run around!
That's terrible! Do you have your store receipt? If so they should honor there warranty no question asked.
@@LEX508UA-cam Yes. Presented the receipt to the service desk clerk. It apparently doesn't matter. I even had the original box that the hisense came in, and pointed out that it has 2yr warranty plainly printed on the box.
Wow that's terrible I would keep fighting for a replacement. At least in my case they did send my replacements but they where all garbage! So in the end I was left with nothing and had to buy another.
@@LEX508UA-cam Retail businesses no longer deal with warranty in my experience. If something fails past 30 days you are dealing with the manufacturer directly. It sucks but it makes sense, It is not Lowes warranty to honour.
Yep, I have one and as soon as it went out of warranty, it failed. Absolute junk!
It's crazy! I'm surprised they are still in business.
@@LEX508UA-cam big stores should stop selling these
Anyone have the hose hooked up but the bucket fills up instead and machine shuts off?
Mine has been working for several years, but the pump consistently shuts itself off after a few hours and fills the bucket instead and I cannot for the life of me figure out why
Good advice....thanks.
I have a Hisense dehumidifier model DH5019K1G, bought it as a replacement for one (different make and model) I had for a very long time. I have no idea when this one died - it is showing the dreaded E9 display - had it set at Auto Dry, Auto Fan and I think humidity at around 59 or so, continuous drainage with a hose. It only works now when unplugged/replugged but only a few minutes, the room is clean and the filter looks brand new. I'm kinda pissed this thing died so quickly and then find out it is probably a damned sensor causing the problem but the whole unit looks completely new, like i just pulled it out of the box. I do not recall when I got it but it was only about three years at most but it could be less. Decided to just buy another one but will definitely NOT get another Hisense, I'm not going to waste my time with trying to get another sensor, etc, to me it just isn't worth the trouble, now I just have to see how to get rid of this piece of crap cuz the town trash will not take it.
That's terrible they are still making junk products, and we, as the consumers, are the ones who have to pay its just not right!
I have an NOMA unit with exactly the same problem
Unfortunately, all dehumidifiers are junk they all have issues and don't last.
Getting rid of stuff is a PITA. My "Transfer Station" takes some stuff. For painted wood, furniture, building stuff like lumber, bricks, concrete I have to drive 15 miles, have the SUV weighed coming in/coming out pay a base charge and then the pounds left off. Minium charge is 25 bucks.
@dlewis9760 Post it on marketplace for free. Someone will take it and try to fix it.
I agree it's complete junk. Got the E9 code 4 months after the warranty period. First tried cleaning and then replacing the humidity sensor but that only worked for about a half hour before the E9 code came back and it stopped working. A lot of these will wind up in the landfills I'm sure. First and only Hisense product I've purchased and never again.
100% agreed! Total garbage!
The sensors go bad. Open them up, locate the humidity sensor, cut it off, twist the red and green wires, tape or wire nut it up, cover up the black one, and then enjoy for years.
I actually tried that also didn't work for me it would run but never collect water.
Then it's low on refrigerant..
Actually that's not the case I've had dehumidifiers go for 6 7 years these don't even last a season. They are junk not worth wasting your time and money with.
where is the temp sensor?
Have had one in my apartment for 4 years no issues. Sounds like yours all had refrigerant leaks and loss their charge. If they're running but not collecting any water the coils aren't getting cold...no refrigerant.
Bought Hisense last year at Costco. Worked first season with no problems. Second season Error code E9. Bad sensor.
Hisense just sent me a second one (not new but remanufactured). Lets see what happens with this one.
Asked for my money back but second unit..
Yup, same junk still unfortunately they suck!
Had one fail within the warranty period, they shipped a new one. This one just failed and was told that it is past the warranty period. Now I have 2 JUNK dehumidifiers that will cost me $20.00 each to get rid of!
I WILL NEVER BUY A Hisense product again!!!
Junk product I wouldn't ever buy anything from that brand again. Also, try posting your dehumidifiers on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace for free. Someone will take it for free. That's what I did. People like to try to fix it.
Did you check the capacitor? IF compressor is running than it may have no refrigerant.
I’ve gone through six of them. They work for a year or two and break.
Just terrible!
I had the same issue. So I have to agree.
I'm not sure how they make something to fail over and over! What junk their products are.
Anyone notice or have the issue of having their Hisense units taking the humidity down lower than the setting? I bought a 50 pint model in Costco (HT5021KP) cuz, yeah, it’s cheap. It has 3 run settings, two which you can chose the humidity level, and one is an automatic 50% humidity setting. I did the auto and the machine would take my basement’s humidity down to near 40% (I have an independent gauge). So, it’s like 10% off. Took it back, thinking it was defective, and got another. It does the same thing! So no complaints about it actually working well, it works exceedingly well, but it’s not calibrated right. I set it now at 60% and sure enough, my basement is now a desired 50%!!
I am going to put mine in the entry way to Lowes - If they can sell this junk to the public they can dispose of it.
That is a good plan! 👍
I have the exact same one, worked several months and stopped. End of the season, next season it runs but doesn't collect water or dehumidifie a drop of water. Total crap.
Thanks for this video. I got two seasons out of mine before the E9 error. It failed exactly after the warranty expired. I noticed that these are made in China. I might try Honeywell next since they are made in USA and have a 5 year warranty. Good luck.
Yes don't buy another hisense! My Frigidaire has been working great for 3 seasons now.
Shout out to Costco! I took this back to Costco and they gave me a full refund.
That's great!
My brand new Honeywell is actually manufactured in China by Airtek Intl. Corp., a subsidiary of JMATEK N.A. (Mahwah, NJ).
@@cfldriven Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that. What a shame.
Unfortunately, other problems can cause an overload switch to flip, and some of them are related to short-circuiting of the appliance’s wiring. If this is the case, the overload switch will continue to flip even after resetting, and a technician will likely be required to pinpoint the cause. Some users might opt to instead purchase a new unit at this point. For these three dehumidifiers.
How would you test for that?
Maybe it has something to do with them not being used all year round. We have the same black hisense as you and it's been fine for the last two years but now the coils are freezing up and i cant figure out why. It never donned on me to reach out to the company so I'm definitely going to do that.
I've tried leaving them plug in all year and had the same results. If you had them less than 2 years, you might be able to get a free replacement.
Ours has been working for about 5 years, but the pump light flashes and it stops pumping.
I hope it keeps going I've had so many people tell there's is just like mine. 👍
Th en compressor is running ig that coil is not cold then its most likely low on refrigerant which eventually damages the compressor
We had ours in the middle for over a year now. Works amazing
That's great hopefully it will keep working lots of people having the same issue as me. My Frigidaire has been working great 3 seasons in a row.
Yeah well let us know if you get more than 3 years out of it (extremely doubtful).
Same issue, need a new one after 5 years
I find it strange you’ve had 3, and all of them died on you after being stored (after having ran fine all season).
Sounds pretty fishy. I’ve had mine for about 4 years now, it works amazing. Has saved me more time than I can count.
To anyone watching this video, if you have water problems, I would highly recommend getting one. I’ve had to use mine more time than I could for various reasons and each time it works great.
You must of gotten a good one unfortunately I didn't and so many other people like myself have the same issue. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone Stay away! My Frigidaire has been working great for the last couple of years with no issues. Thanks for the comment enjoy your day👍
My HiSense works really good, the TCL is garbage and a waste of money
Is the three dehumidifiers made in China? Is it too old? If it keeps dying, that would mean that electrical components are going bad. And you will need a technician to permit the issue
I have 3 of them and they have all worked for about 5 years.
I just bought one in May 2024. The pump already went out. These are junk!
I have one that won't turn off. It may have been frozen up. I let it sit for a while. Now it works, but for how long?
How to clean the fan inside the hisense dehumidifier ? I opened it up and couldnt get to the front of it to clean it
I too am on my third one. they are junk!!
Yes what a shame! They keep making garage products!
I have had 4 of these and all 4 have quit working after a year! Just to be clear, I bought 2 and the other 2 were replacements from the manufacturer! Nothing but JUNK!!!!!
Same experience with Frigidaire. I went thru 5! Last a year but stopped working the next. Each time they replaced it but the inconvenience just isn't worth the hassle. Dehumidifiers. Another government regulated appliance that was turned to junk!
100% agreed!
Thank you.
I have two. I have the first one for 2 years, and it is still going strong. I just bought another one for upstairs, and we will see how long that last..

Wish I would’ve seen this before I bought mine last year. I have the black one and now it runs really loud even after I cleaned the filter I can’t figure it out
It might still be under warranty my original one had a 2 year warranty. What good that did!
Is there any brand that uses a non-crazy refrigerant? Maybe R32, or R134/1234 ?
My best dehumidifier is one of those "wet" window ACs from GE :-)
My Hisense lasted about 2 years than it was leaking water underneath. How do you get maintenance on this humidifiers?
I asked my AC guy and he said if they have to be repaired it's just cheaper to replace. I just want to have the coils cleaned. I threw out the Hisense and bought a Honeywell.
That's great that it lasted 2 years mine never did. Unfortunately yes your better off just replacing them maintenance is basically keeping your filter clean.
@@LEX508UA-cam Thank you Sir for the reply. Although it says as part of maintenance to clean the coils. I unfortunately don't know how to do that. Maybe that's why the machine doesn't last longer.

@@dlewis9760still working
Does it turn back on if the power goes out?
I don't recall if it does, but I think so, but not 100% positive, though.
They are all program to die after 1 year (that is the warranty time).....
Just plain junk!
They sent you two replacement units under warranty; that sounds like good customer service, if nothing else.
If it really is the humidistat, try cleaning them with a delicate vacuum and you might get more life out of them.
Yes customer service was good I can't complain about that. But their products are junk! How can 3 units fail one after another? Just terrible products I had a Frigidaire for 8 years before it died I'm back to Frigidaire so far no issues. I bought a replacement humidistat and it did the same thing again. Stay away if you value your time and money. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@LEX508UA-cam which model of Frigidaire, please? Hopefully, easy to emptly (don't want to use drain hose/leaks. Thanks
@@LEX508UA-cam Which frigidare did you buy?
FFAD5033W1E So far no issues.
FFAD5033W1E So far no issues.
De'longhi works?
I'm not sure but my new Frigidaire dehumidifier works great!
Thanks for the heads up. Total garbage thank you
Your welcome!
We have one in our basement and I have never had a dehumidifier that worked this good.
What was the good one, that you had originally been trying to replace?
Frigidaire that's what I originally had and that's what I bought again so far this is my second season no issues.
Mine is blowing out hot air, it's crap, my Frigidaire is great
Yup my Frigidaire still works great!
Blowing out warm air is part of the thermodynamics needed to make it a dehumidifier.
I'm gonna buy a dehumidifier. What brand do u recommend? Delongui or Whirlpool?
I don't have any experience with either one. I do recommend Frigidaire mine has been working great for 3 seasons with no issues.
I have a Frigidaire which is 13 years old and still working great.
Stay away from junk Hisense!
I have Whirlpool that bought it 15 years ago and is still running. The Hisense died in a year
Did it work after a couple days? Did the new sensor fixed anyone one of them?
No the new sensor was a waste of time it didn't work on all 3 units.
Ok great, saved me a lot of time
Can you please suggest a recommended brand?
My original frigidaire dehumidifier lasted 8 years so I bought another one so far no issues 👍
GE. Also consider using one of their modern "wet" window AC units: they pull a ton of water out of the air: I have the GE AHQ06LYfrom 2019, going strong.
That I know is true 🤣
I have one and it only lasted a years
Yup 100% junk!
Did you keep the filter and grill clean ? What kind of maintenance did you preformed regularly?
Hello yes of course. I would clean regularly my last unit lasted 7 or 8 years and my current unit it going on 3 years now. I would recommend staying away!
Other than cleaning the fliter you shouldn't have to do crap. Many 1980s dehumids STILL RUN today.
Hi Cindy-- how do I set mine up with the hose to automatically pump the water because I've been emptying water bin
The brand isn't Hisense for one,it's energy star, Hisense is the model,I've had one for years no prob, energy star is a good brand, you have bad luck with dehumidifiers bud
Energy star is rating, not the brand. Hisense is the brand, and it's complete junk! Look at everyone else on the comments complaining about the same thing.
@@LEX508UA-cam energy star is absolutely the brand, the rating? The problem is most ppl are stupid, look it up, energy star has been a brand for decades, again Hisense is the model, energy star makes fridges, stoves, dishwashers, dehumidifiers!, know what you are talking about before posting like this guy and if it's junk to you buy another "brand" name besides energy star
I have one works great my problem is I bought one without a pump 😂
Hopefully it stays that way how long have you had it?
@@LEX508UA-cam 4 years
Wow that's great I can't tell you how many people have the same problem as me good luck.
GE is no better, last 3 yrs max.
That company should be renamed as NONsense.....or LACKINGsense.....
Junk still in 2024
Cheap Chinese product. What can you expect? I had mine for little over a year with light use and got E9 error code. It stopped collecting water once E9 error code appears on the LED. It seems to be a common problem for this product. Fortunately I bought the product from Costco. I just returned the humidifier to Costco and they will deal with the manufacture.
have a hisense dh5019k1g, E9 code after 3 years. Trying to find part to repair
No surprise here…these are made in China.
frigidaire same shit on my 4 one free replacement!
That's terrible I hope my Frigidaire lasts as long as my first one. This is my second season with it so far so good unlike the hisense!
Hisense, Crap product indeed, I am on #2 from Lowes and have the flashing E9 code, real piece of garbage!
100% agreed!
Curing season ladies and gentlemen
Agree 100% JUNK. e-9 error immediately after 2 years warranty expired. And replacing sensor, does NOT work. Device is dead in the water.....
The Chinese electronics are shitty......
Yes terrible!
No, the COMPANY is. The Chinese are capable of creating great quality. This is a meme: There’s an old saying in software development that goes something like, “Fast, good or cheap - pick two.” Known as the iron triangle, project management triangle, or triple constraint, this concept is familiar to anyone who has ever felt the pressure of weighing the opposing forces of quality, speed and cost against one another.
Companies pick Fast + Cheap. Get a new model to market as cheaply as possible. The designs are not forced on the companies. They picked how these things are built. They factor in people getting burned and figure out having customers that are incensed is worth it. It probably costs a couple of bucks at most to make a better unit. But that's over every unit and doesn't contribute to the bottom line. The angry customers cost less.
ALL THEIR SHIT IS BAD.
LOL
$5 can of air.
There's no way of recharging these units they are one time use as far as charging goes.
