Thanks. I have the same issue with a Soleusair Dehumidifier. Lasted 2 seasons and there is 0 customer support. Read the comment section with some pretty lame critiques. One guy even said you discharged the capacitor incorrectly without then explaining the proper way. If its a compressor then its trash. I purchased my humidifier at Menards and they stopped carrying this brand for obvious reasons. My compressor get extremely hot. 🔥
it might have a temp sensor that is bad or it is low on freon if compressor comes on and it does not get cold you can add freon to system with a clamp on fill valve
The only good thing about this video is that it shows how to discharge the cap before measuring. Other than that, it's completely useless. Nothing to see here, move along.
I say this with the best intentions - this video was completely useless and you my friend have no idea what you're talking about or what youre doing. Best to first watch a video on how dehumidifiers work, then research how compressors work, then troubleshoot bsckwards. All I heard in this video was a bunch of "i guess this, i guess that".
Thanks for the video of not really knowing what is wrong or how to fix it.

you kept saying capacitor when you meant compressor. WHat about the overload circuit? I read that is common error as well.
capacitor is $13.00
a new capacitor is only like 20 $

This did help me!
I needed to know if I should buy a new one and looks like I have the same issue.
Thanks for your negative useless comment!
This isn't a proper way to discharge a capacitor. It actually is the worst way
Yeah short that capacitor. You'll kill it if it isn't already dead.

Tell us the proper way. Thank you.
Shorting it is actually how you discharge it. Using a screwdriver is an acceptable method but make sure your using one with an insulated handle.
Geezus, this guy is truly clueless. What a waste of a video!
These dehumidifiers are made in China, they don't last long.
