Thanks for the wonderful virtual reconstruction, which is shocking. No words, stories will not evoke even a fraction of a percent of the impressions that the image gives, and in 3D at that. I am delighted with these views, additionally synchronized with the real ruins. Super. Bravo!!!!

Another beautifully presented video - it's such an imposing building to visit, even now, in its ruined state. It's amazing to see the reconstruction and move around it - and the commentary was very interesting. Thank you! 🙂

Fantastico! Bellissima. Grazie mille. The replica huge statue of Constantine now on display at the Capitoline should be returned to it's proper place in situ in the Basilica of Maxentius. Where it belongs.

Superb work thank you. You imagine as it was essentially used as a law court that the "side chapels" had seated individual adjudicating magistrates with a separate Higher status (probably imperially judged) court at one end; a presiding image of the Emperor as a focal point; and an awe inspiring central circulating space. As such its design is very like that of the 19th century Royal Courts of Justice in London - another imperial era Law Court.

Well, this is your best recreation yet. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. And the details are amazing, including the shadows of statues and the ability to be able to see into the windows and see the reflections of light inside the building from the exterior. And this was just an amazing feat of architecture for the time. I even love your theory on the deconstruction. Bravo. 👏🏻

I never got to visit the baths of Diocletian or Caracalla so far, but I must say that the whole building, especially the reconstructed interior, very much resembles Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. Both of them are late Roman imperial architecture, after all.

An incredible reconstruction of this magnificent building. Looking at the itinerary of Einsiedeln dating to c. 800, it's amazing that even then many of the old monuments were still standing. The Basilica of Maxentius, Temple of Venus and Roma, Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus (even with most of the roof gone), the Forum of Trajan...really puts to bed the notion that it was the Germanics who wrecked the ancient city. It was destroyed by nature (earthquakes, flooding that covered the buildings with mud)....and the Romans themselves for spolia lol.

GREAT video!! Been subbed for many years now. I absolutely LOVE how you have updated the realism!!.
One note-regarding that Colossus of Constantine. Darius Aria's channel, Ancient Rome live!. has featured that statue. It's now been rebuilt with those existing fragments and 3D modeled and sculpted the lost parts and the clear distinction between the ancient and the new. It was awesome to see it rebuilt. I think it is actually going on tour I think. Check out Ancient Rome live! .

So amazing, this is probably as close as we can get to experiencing this building as it was. Do you happen to know how archaeologists were able to confirm the interior building painting patterns? Was it by chemical analysis or were there traces of pigment on the ruins as they’ve found in other buildings/ruinns? I’ve always been interested in how the insides of these public buildings appeared, especially when first hand accounts may not have been found, or directly mentioned their appearance.
