So much great memories from this game. Back in high school, my friends would meet at my place, get super stoned, make bets, and then fight our hearts out. Gran Turismo 2 was also a good one because you could mess with the settings and actually drift.
This was my first street fighter game when I was a kid. Loved it, but it was also the first game that frustrated the shit out of me and made me rage quit a lot. Ah the memories :)
I dont know why they won't reboot these or release after they just release the anniversary collection. This game was fun and it was their own approach to that 3D style fighting which is almost in that tekken realm.
Game developers need to give up on the hollywood style of soundtrack, not everything needs to sound like its part of an orchestra. Can't remember when we got music as good as this. Back when games felt like games.
I MISS this game!! I don’t know what my brother did with it. I wish I can play it again. And I wish they would make an actual EX4 game or AT LEAST put EX3 on PS4!! I miss this game SO MUCH!! It’s part of my childhood. Along with Calvin vs SNK.
The only things that this game needs: 1. Street Fighter EX3: Arcade Edition 2. Gouki (from Super Street Fighter II X: Grand Master Challenge) 3. Oro (from Street Fighter III: New Generation) 4. Cinematic Prologues 5. Cinematic Epilogues 6. A Soundtrack That Is As Original As The First Two Games
Ken Masters yeah, like an arcade version of the game. They should’ve ported it on the Dreamcast too. Original Xbox, GameCube, PS1 and PC. Also a Steam version.
My first street fighter game I ever had , one of the first games I ever had period once I got my first console a ps2 it was like these graphics felt so real and top of the line now looking back at them , wtf was I thinking , but I had to comeback to this just to relive the memories of a simpler time feels like a lifetime ago and yesterday all at the same time these sounds bring back so many great memories in my life before stress bills and other real world bs ,
Was five years old playing this mf man. Only did I know the pain of future adulthood back then. Me and sisters swore that the graphics of this game was the shit. You ain't alone dawgg.
FirstBornCarlos_2 I was introduced to the originals first by other people or arcades. but this one was special because it was my first street fighter game on my first console so I was able to put in the hours.

lmao my dad got me this game when i was 4 and it was my fav game even though most of it gave me nightmares lmao im 19 now and blanka still lowkey scares me
Nightmares playing street fighter? I wonder if you played fatal frame. Anyways, street fighter ex series evokes the sweetest memories of my childhood too, specially the soundtrack
@@RYROSmetaldefenderhaha I got nightmares because I was very young playing this and some of the characters used to scare me haha but I’m over that now😂 the nostalgia is real 🥲 lmao this reply is 3 years late
I used to watch the intro of this game out of the shop window I used be freaking amazed by the amazing graphics! I didn’t even knew what the game was called and today I asked chatgpt to help me recall a streetfighter game with ken and ryu fight scene in jungle and voilla! Beauty of the tech!
I remember playing this game and unlocking everyone but I never had a save progress thing so each time I would start it up I wouldn't have the characters I had unlocked which mad me sad
Jajaja de recién que salio, lo miraba bien a toda madre, me emocionaba el intro, y se me hacia gráficamente muy bueno y ahora lo veo y digo, chale, así no se miraba antes
PlayStation 2 definitely was the best generation of gaming ,not saying that alot of games havent evolved but these type of graphics in the beginning of y2k is some serious stuff
Does anybody know how to activate or unlock the multiplay mode ? For example I could have 4 controller plugged into the PlayStation but it won’t let me play a 1p • 2p vs 3p • 4p match. Any help ?
I’d like to share my memory with this game. I was the youngest in my family growing up. 2 older siblings and right next door to us was our 2 cousins about the same age as my siblings. I was about 8 or 9ish at this time ( 2007-09) but anyway, my brother used to borrow games from my cousin and one day he came in the house with the anniversary edition of sf ( third striker, this and sf 2 hyper or something somebody correct me) but I remember this game being so damn unique and I wanted to play it so bad because I had never seen a 3d sf game, let alone a sf game that lets you recruit teammates ( I didn’t have newer consoles in my earlier days so I was playing sf 2 on snes) . I remember how difficult it was for me to beat Garuda the first few times, and when I finally beat him I recruited that crazy mf. Good times. I also loved the dopamine boost I got from the credits. Ps: Third Strike is now not only one of my fav sf games of all time but one of my fav fighting games of all time.

This was hands down the best street fighter games. The Ex2 Ex3 hands down. Very underrated game.
Odd way to spell the Alpha series
Still remember the blisters on my thumbs from playing this game back in the day
Omg yes I thought I was the only one. Cause of the ps2 controller lol
Lol I thought I was the only 1
You can use analog sticks
I use to use a fucking handkerchief to avoid blisters haha
i thought i wasnt only the one
I love early 2000’s anime animations
One of the best fighting games going by battle system. Nobody gave it a chance. That's all.
I lovved this series back then, but you're right, it is extremely underrated.
I remember very bad reviews at the release :(
Bro I have this for my ps2 the game sadly doesn’t work but it was awesome back then
I was a beast at this game

Capcom needs to make a Street Fighter EX4.
It was Arika that made the EX games. Now they moved onto EX Fighting Layer.
there is no need for a fourth ex game since capcom can make 2.5D games themselves.
@@Jerry_SSBB true but the quirkiness of this game came from Arika's input, they justy used the ZN arcade platform and Capcom's characters.
STRRET FIGHTER EX 4 FOR PLAYSTATION 4. YESSSSS
Tekken x SF
Best part about this game is the credits

daAmazin FatB0y damn...I almost cried a bit reading this... you're totally right brother
"Let's not put effort into our soundtracks" like c'mon every game has a theme that fits with it's atmosphere.
True.
Sounds like nostalgia to you.
I still think the best music was in THird Strike. It was sooo psyhcodelic
I loved playing with Ryu & The Skeleton Dude when I was little

Has anyone ever noticed Mr. T on the end stage when you fight Bison (if you don't select anyone to join you)?
Yes. I have no idea why it was included as an easter egg though. Tres weird.
This would be a perfect date game.
Excellent playthrough with Ryu
I literally only came here to listen to ryu say “hadoken” its sounds so funny in this game

Can’t believe how much I enjoyed this game when I was like 12. Ive tried the new ps4 versions but I just cant get into them.
easily the best street fighter game
I liked the concept of the original mode and the way it plays. As for the game itself It feels a tad bit incomplete imo.

My first ever SF game. I recall letting all my team die at the end so I can have a dramatic final fight using Ryu to finish off Bison.

Great Game, nice Combination skills, you Fight very good
This street fighters EX are good in control, beside the 3D graphics are lose to other I give a 7 ;-) tumb up.
5:50 BGM with gameplay = nostalgic perfection.
People need to give Akira credit.. theyre such an underrated company
EX3 was the last ever time Capcom and Akira worked together.
Street fighter was really popular when these games were out
Nostalgia 😩
Why These Games are Not in the anniversary Game????
Thanks for that!

This game is ancient history. Despite that man I had good times with this game. I would emulate it from time to time
First game I ever played, grew up playing it, so classic :)
Ultra2k The first Street Fighter game I've played was Street Fighter 4
looks like Tekken 3
Are those the same characters from fighting EX layer?.

Those ex characters should return to street fighter
i wish we vould get an anthology disc
This game is impossible to find as a downloadable rom now.
why didnt they include e honda? the only WW character not on the roster. Balrog too if you want to include the bosses.
This still beats street fighter 6

This is the most ‘linear’ SF game I’ve ever played. Always the same stages, same sub Boss etc.
They could remake this and it would sell out
