Hey diesel, check out the Chevy ZR2 bison. Right now I am looking at it and it seems more promising out the gate than the taco, plus diesel. I guess we shall see what truck I get!
Had a FRO rack on my GX470. Of all the upgrades I put on it I have to say that one was the most practical and worth the money. The accessory mounts are great. It was also easy to make some DIY mounts for a spare tire and traction boards. Hope to eventually get one on my Tacoma.
Hey Mike! My wife and I really enjoy your weekenderlander videos, and your campung gear reviews! Were planning to start doing weekend trips in the northeast and thinking of a 4runner or Tacoma. Your reviews and camping videos are very helpful as we plan on how to start this new adventure. Also being in the military your EDC videos gives me good ideas to bring out to field training exercises. We are looking forward for more weekenderlander videos, and she’s going to be excited to hear that Ashley is starting her own channel!
After watching your videos and watching all the fun you have with your Tacoma I have ended up deciding to buy one this week. :) plan to try and make it similar to yours!!!!
Just a quick heads up for anyone who wants to buy the Front Runner 3 bar kit for their diamondback HD/SE: Checked Diamondback's website and both 2 bar and 3 bar kits are sold out (as of 05/26/2020). The 3 bar kit is sold for $659, however Front Runner's website has the 3 bar kit in stock and is selling it for $595! I just placed my order and can't wait to install it :D
I had the same problem with my light bar whistling and vibrating when mounted above the wind shield. The remedy is this go to the auto parts store and purchase a roll of protective trim for automotive door edge and apply it to all of the lower cooling find on the light bar. This will stop the whistling and vibrating 100 percent. I did this and I have not had any problem with it since and it doesn't affect the cooling aspect of the fins.
Hell yea brother! I draw a ton of inspiration from your videos, especially the ones focused on the Tacoma. I'm trying to make mine kind of a "south Texas beach/ woods camping, but can still be functional on the ranch" taco.
I really *want* to like the FrontRunner, the Prinsu just looks way too good to me... definitely one of those things where I just had to go with looks over function for once lol.
I love my 2020 TRD Pro army green but your black multi cam wrap is awesome! I have a KC M rack with the Pro6 and you’re going to love them can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on those lights. I am a junkie of your videos thanks for being my dealer lol.
Could we get a video about why you switched back to BFG and why you got new rims? Would be interesting to hear performance thoughts about the Falkens compared to the KO2s
Liam Laughlin why did you hate them? I would like to get some after my current set need replaced, curious on your thoughts. I currently have wrangler duratracs and while they are basically almost mud tires, the ride is rough as expected. The price to pay for aggressive look I guess
Great content! Love the diversity that keeps this page very interesting! .... Now to decide on whether I'm getting the 4Runner like I originally planned... or a Taco
Love to see the Frontrunner Diamondback collaboration now. Albeit a little more in cost than KB Voodoo which does not require drilling. Also digging the non diamond pattern on the covers as an option. Keeping it innovative, DB. Thanks Mike for the content!
Thanks for this vid. That's a beautiful roof rack. A question though. Can the roof of a pickup cab with either crossbars or a roof rack like the Slimline on top, support the weight of a popup tent like say the iKamper 3 mini or the larger Roofnest Sparrow2, while driving but also parked with one or two adults sleeping inside? I'd rather put the popup tent above the cab, and keep the bed free for other things. I'm actually leaning towards a Ford F150 Platinum or Raptor, and if the answer to my question is a clear yes then putting a Diamondback HD bedcover over the bed. Maybe adding the lower 6" high Front Runner crossbars on top of the Diamondback to use for other reasons, but maintaining ease of access to opening the cover. I'd want either crossbars or the every other slat version of the slimline rack that you have above the cab, as long as one or both easily supported the popup tent weight above the cab. I love that cab top table mount too, as long as it is behind and not above all or at least most of the sunroof view, though I'd look at the slimmer one before deciding. Thanks.
I ordered a diamondback cover and I'm waiting for it to come in I've only seen 2 other trucks in the town I live near with them one was a tacoma that I saw I'm my neighborhood and the other was an f150 it looked good on both can't wait for mine to get here and get it installed.
You do a great job showing us and explaining everything, Thank you for that. May I ask, What do you do for a living? If you're uncomfortable answering, it's no problem, Have a great weekend🚙🌟

I have this rack on my new Tacoma TRD PRO double cab, but I'm confused about weight limits on the top of my truck. Could I put an iKamper Skycamp mini on the top of the cab on that front runner rack? plus 2 people?
Great looking rack but don’t like that drop for the crossbars on front runner, so I went with the K9 rack and really like it. I can mount things flat on it.
Love my Front Runner rack on my Xterra. I've got all sorts of their accessories for lugging gear around. Including a new awning that UPS literally just dropped off today. Soooo, ima go install that right meow! I've also been contemplating the wind deflector but I really don't see the need. And I'm not sure about it getting in the way of a light bar if I go that route.

WARNING to anyone who is considering buying anything from Frontrunner. I watched this video and recently bought the Slimline II roof rack from Frontrunner for my ikamper tent. Turns out that this roof rack is not compatible with the ikamper unless you buy additional parts from Frontrunner which cost hundreds of dollars. Trying to return their product has been a nightmare. Their website claims “30 days money back guarantee” but what they don’t tell is that product will be considered "used" if you take it out of the box and assemble it and you will be charged shipping both ways and a 20% restocking fee. My fault for not looking at the fine print of their return policy before I bought and just believing their "money back guarantee." Will never buy anything from this company again and advise anyone considering buying from them to carefully review their return policy prior to purchasing. Hoping to save someone else the trouble of dealing with them.
