I used to work in retail and in one of our management meetings they told us something interesting. “ if you treat a customer good they will only tell 7 people, if you treat a customer bad they will tell 11.” It’s great that they have sought to make things right as their customers satisfaction is a main part of their business
Dude you finally got on board. Told you it was worth it. I use mine all the time. In the garage, range days, camping. Get yourself a small master lock so no one snatches it
Look into applying a ceramic coating on it. I use chemical guy’s ceramic glass cleaner on my stainless kitchen sink to keep the hard water spots off. It’s great
I think you'll love it. I thought it was overpriced at first but so many people said it's awesome and worth it. I would LOVE if you use the link in my description
I've got one this table in my new Jimny and the surprise look on some people like ( where the heck did it came from? )🤣off the roof! Yes it's pretty expensive BUT it's very well built and there's nothing like it 😃
Was very shocked when they reached out to us on Instagram from our comment on your last video about our rack failing. It renewed our faith in the company to which we picked up some more of their products to give them a deserving second chance.
😂 shoot I've wanted this thing but didn't know if it was worth spending $700 and lemme tell you, we used it every single time this past weekend. It's awesome
Good review. Interesting how they contacted you and tried to make things right. I am a Quality Manager and part of my work is with claims. If you your average customer happiness is at 80% and they have a quality issue with your product or service it will naturally drop but if you take care of it correctly and swiftly your customer confidence and happiness in your company will raise above what it was before they had an issue. In short. To take care of a quality issue one has to find the root causes. There is basically and almost 3 root causes. The occurence (why it happens), the non-detection (Why the error passed inspections and controls) and systematic causes. Then you have 4 different families of actions. The containment actions which is the immidieate actions to stop more of this problem to happen soon again. This could for example be to block all stock and shipments and go through it. Then we have the short term actions which is what can be done to temporarilly be able to produce with only a small chanse of making this issues again. After that comes the long term corrective actions and then the preventive which should more or less fault proof against doing the same issues again and spread that knowledge to other machines, assembly lines, processes and even other plants.
About four years ago, I sprang for two Frontrunner tables and two mounting kits for my rack. The design is great, but after three years, the adhesive securing the tabletop failed. I was shocked because I thought these tables would last forever, so I called FrontRunner to give them a chance to make it right. They just told me it was out of warrantee and that I should buy some 3M adhesive and fix it myself. Thanks for nothing. Anyway, I managed to glue it back on, but my view of FR's quality and customer service took a hit. I expected more from a premium brand, like maybe send me a tube of glue, or tell me exactly which one to buy so I don't have to guess. Anyway, here's hoping 11 people read this, and maybe FrontRunner too. Also, be careful about resting the table edge on gravel or pavement while you're folding or unfolding the legs. The black coating on the edges scuffs easily.
It's been a year, how's it holding up? I wonder how well it holds up - the table, is the rubber still good, or is the rack getting any wear from the table?
I have to say after just receiving my Slimeline 2 rack for my 5th gen 4runner I was unable to assemble any part of the rack due to the complete mish mosh of hardware. My roof rack rail package looked like hell after traveling from CA to NY. I contacted them and luckily it was early enough in the day I was able to request them to over night ALL new hardware. They sent me a new rack rails free of charge also. They offer really nice things but they do need to tighten up on the way they ship their boxes out and their fulfillment team. They have all of these cards with different peoples names on them however i think it should be just 1 person signing off on each order.
I love your videos - something about your voice and pace that just sits well with me - BUT - that table looks great all except that I can't remember ever having a flat campsite - so other than your garage floor - how does it work out in the real world?. I'd pay extra for adjustable legs to be able to use it on a slope or uneven site.
I know! I wish it had adjustable. I've gotten creative if it's really bad. I use tire chocks OR you can use the leveling plate they use for hi-lift jacks
I like frontRunner products , they can be pricey some times . I just go straight to the store for pickup to avoid getting things broken during shipping etc..
I wonder where that video is of everyone complaining is. I too had a horrible experience with front runner. And they couldn’t care less! I ordered a gear box, straps and the 11L water tank for my half rack. It too came missing important mounting parts. I bought these for a Jeep event I was attending later that week. So I live chatted with them to explain I bought them for this event coming up and if they could please expedite the missing parts so I could mount it. They flat out told me no! Even though it was their fault I’d have to wait 5-7 days to get the missing parts. I then I asked them if they could send me some O rings for my trouble since I didn’t realize I should have ordered them for the straps. They once again told me NO! Then when I told them that was the last time I’ll be ordering from their company they promptly ended the chat. Like WTF?!!!! I was seriously considering returning their products! Just to say eff you! It’s pricey ass gear. Throw in some cheap O rings if a customer asks for that to make up for your mistake. The fact that they wouldn’t even expedite the missing parts was bad enough. Sadly I couldn’t mount the water tank for the event. Last time I order from them. Like you said.. there are plenty of other companies out there that make good gear!
How long ago was this? Because when I posted the issue I had with them it sparked a conversation within their company and they've been much much better since after going through some operational changes
I wonder would it fit on the rails of the Freespirit recreation Evo tent rails? I have the quick release from front runner which adds a couple inches in between the roof rack and tent. Love their table slide setup but don’t have a front runner rack. Not enough room under my UpTop overland rack either. Trying to see where else it can fit. 😅
@@waltertang9303 Actually now that I think about it, it won't. It's wider. I think you can probably DIY some metal bars running perpendicular to those rails and going past the rails for you to mount the table rails to.
I'm yet to receive product with problems from Front Runner. I'm in Europe and got my stuff from their central in Germany. And every of their products is good quality. The one thing that was not right was a seal on a jerry can spout which was glued crooked in it's bed. That was an easy fix. The spout works perfect now. And yes the table is amazing but way too expensive. I get why it is and probably one would never have to purchase another table again after getting this one...
Not a lot of clearance at all. This roof rack is slim as it is. MAYBE 2"? I'm not sure as Ive never needed to measure. But if you get their slimline roof rack, the brackets on the side were made tall enough to account for this table slide.
Yeah. I wish it was adjustable too. That was the dilemma I had when I tried to DIY it. You would need legs that have infinite adjust- not the kind that clicks into different slots but the kind that works like tripod legs where you loosen and then put it in a desired height then tighten
@@BaptismOverland Have a look at the Drifta table for their leg adjustment method. Kind basic but it looks like it works. Some people modify it themselves with detachable feet for sand. Would be good if somone makes a premium table with stainless steel, roof mount, adjustable legs etc
Front Runner must have cringed when you said the table top was aluminum, it’s stainless steel. I have a prep table mounted under my Front Runner roof rack.
Believe me I said the same. But after all the different table I've had and how much room it took up, to this day I'm still using this. That being said, yeah, it's not cheap. By any stretch.
Sorry, but there is NO way I am going to spend over $700 for a table. You all must have loads of $ or get companies to send it to you free(that must be nice, always getting free shit). No we are just getting ridiculous!!!
I honestly said the same. I mentioned that too. But now that I DO have it (and as some people have attested to who own it as well) it's been useful. Do what works for YOU man. Whatever you want to spend your money on, how you do your builds, etc. all has to make sense to each individual.

It's not that I didn't want to. It's that I couldn't afford it haha maaaan this is awesome!!
Love my Front Runner table. Watch out for rust when water gets on the table top. Treat it with stainless steel protector.
Good idea!
Look into applying a ceramic coating on it. I use chemical guy’s ceramic glass cleaner on my stainless kitchen sink to keep the hard water spots off. It’s great
Ok. I’m convinced. I’ll get mine ordered this week. Looks like a good bit of kit.

Why don't they make each leg heigh adjustable like drifta tables? When camping how often is the ground totally flat?
