Traveled with this travel pack system in the last 6 months. After 6 months, I decided not to use it anymore for travel. Here is why. The bag is heavy and not the best for one bag travel. In my opinion, you can fill more stuff in other bags with the same liter amount. Think it's because of its stiff harness system. To grab the laptop you have to open the main compartment at least 1/4 of it, not the easiest way to get to the laptop. No quick access to it. The quick access for the camera is ok, but useless when no camera, and in my opinion a higher risk of getting things stolen because it's hard to lock. The Waterbottle pocket is only ok and definitely not the best. Quality is great, the design looks nice and the Shouldertrap system is good and comfortable. The big top Pocket is amazing, with a lot of space. More backpacks should have this. The zippers are good but sometimes they get stuck around the corners. especially when you use the compressing straps. But the 360 lash point system really is a No Go, hard to get the bags removed or to attach stuff. Especially when the bags are full. It's so annoying. There is so much quality but that part feels so cheap. And never get used to it, even after the 15 times. Decided not to attach things anymore. The best thing is the stasis sling. It is really great, has the ideal size for daily stuff (not big enough for a laptop). I still use it every day. The price point for it is ridiculous. The whole system is way too expensive.
@Nomad Nation, I use the 4 hooks inside the bags when I have clothes and want to cinch it down. The two darker tapered inside is for their MK2 camera module. I think it allows it to be velcro and secured. The new Errant Pro or Xpac Pro fixed a lot of these issues and took the designs from Arris, Errant, and Prima in one. Boundary are design wizards but I think they need to somehow get a balance of not over-engineering it and forget ease of use or functionality. Also their supply chain and after sale service can learn from Nomatic and Wandrd. At that point, they would be hard to beat.
Thanks for that! And yes I agree, while there’s room for growth for the company as a whole they are truly design wizards and some of the best at their craft
Great review. I have Aux for my errant, and it's also a b*tch to get off as i wanted to use it as my airplane stuff. I do like how these ones look together. Also, the velcro does work with camera pack (on this as well as the errant) and holds it in place, and I think there's an attachment that holds it open so you can access it via the side zipper as you thought it would work.
Hey Jeff thanks for that, and yeah totally agreed about the Errant/Aux. I like the risks that Boundary takes, even if they don't always nail the execution
Very hard to choose with so many good travel backpacks out there: Aer TP3 - Heimplanet Transit 34L - Able Carry Max - Boundary Supply Arris - Minaal Carry 3.0 -
I guess the two side-packs kinda have their own niche. The sling is your work and the waist-pack is your play; Laptop, tech pouch, other gear in the sling, pocket reliever basics in the waist pack.
FWIW, just got one of these and it seems they fixed the issue with the zipper getting stuck on the main compartment. There is a gap space now between the mesh and the zipper. 0 issues now
I do my own rigged version of this by lashing my favorite bags together using those bendy twist from NightIZES -They have the right idea here but its not fluid enough . G-hooks are sleek n slim but they do their job too well to be good for clipping bags on and off - maybe if someone will create like a trigger release G-hook? Their on the right track but for the price its gotta be more fluid =look forward to version 2.0 - AWESOME REVIEW !!
Man, if they reduce the weight by 30-50% and make it 40L I would but the whole kit. I would also like to see a redesign of the attachment system for the accessories on the outside. And improvements to the sling.
They are both highly technical bags with tons of features. But I’d say they are very different - this bags more outdoors friendly. The Hive is a lot more urban imo
Great review ! I NO longer will buy any Boundary products ! Why ??? It's because I have ordered 4 times from them ( Boundary ) , each time arrives late or problem ! SHAME , because they ( Boundary ) do make Wonderful bags ! I almost support them on this bag when it was their kickstarter ! Due to their poor and unreliable Coustomer Service and shipping department ! I will NO longer do business or buy anything from them ! Instead of this bag , I went with Codeofbell X - Case ! Also a one bag travel ! Too bad for both me and Boundary Suply ! I do like their bags and have support them in their Kickstarters , the ownership is great , design is great ! Their bags are NOT cheap , You would THINK that they provide service ! Too many disappointment from them ! I understand no one is perfect ! But they ( Boundary ) don't seem to Care or want to change for the better !
There’s always somebody having issues with this company in the comment section in every review that I watched. I guess if too many bad experience user with this company then I think I should hold from buying his company product.
God, A,..... where do you find some of these things: Johnny Rocket is right!! Fascinating item, and, as always, you always have the perfect reviews. p.s. Orange? Must be the lens🤔😎🙂
@@Nomads.Nation the web site DOES call it Orange, but in your vid it's sort of a weird brownie/orangie kind of color... remember the special AER items: THOSE had real, and sexy Orange lining. It could be my old eyes-but I had cataract surgery, so my eyesight is PERRFFECT 🤔😏😎.... doesn't take anything from your review, or that it's too complex AND expensive for my taste... keep up that great attitude, and I like when Tav puts in his 2 cents.
There are many great travel bags like Goruck gr2 or this Boundary supply Arris But sadly they are all from US and are not sold in Europe. Do you know where to buy this in europe? Or alternatives ?

Best review on this system, long = detailed, and that's great when making a decision whether to invest in this system or not. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
For the Velcro in the center yes it is for the camera cube! I own the Errant pack and it has the same thing and I use it with my camera Bag
Thanks for that clarification Lucas!

Thanks Idrissa! And totally agreed, I hope they knock V2 out of the park cuz they were close with this one

yea its heavy and not perfect by any means, but still provides a ton of value for the right person
Should do a review on the Codeofbell X - case ! Great bag and design !
Coming soon! I'm really excited to review it
thanks for the great review. Curious how you would compare this to the tropicfeel Hive backpack
They are both highly technical bags with tons of features. But I’d say they are very different - this bags more outdoors friendly. The Hive is a lot more urban imo
Digging that pack. I'm definitely getting it with the stasis.
If it ever comes back in stock .. still waiting 😔
Thanks you sir for this excellent, coherent, well detailed review ❤️
I think I might get it after watching this 🙈
My pleasure, and you won't regret it!
Is it possible to attach the stasis sling to errant sling instead of the arris pack?
Not sure. I’d recommend asking Boundary - plz let us know what they say

Hey William! Doesn't sound like a great experience(s). My experience getting stuff from Boundary was always smooth for what it's worth

J'ai le Stasis. Il s'attache facilement à mon wandrd prvke 21 ou mon haize project backpack. Il est très bien en complément.
merci for your comment!
Is this the only brand that does the ecosystem ?? It’s really interesting.
Peak design has an eco system but this is probably the most hardcore one I’ve seen yet

Check out Aer Travel Pack 2 and Peak Design Travel Pack. We also did a roundup of the best travel bags - be sure to check that out!
@@Nomads.Nation thx for the answer AER Travel Pack is US only too
Peak Design is the only one of those top picks that sells in Europe
Best alternatives in Europe seem to be Tasmanian Tiger Mission Pack 2 or Modular Paxk 30
I have a question what backpack is good for carrying pouches?
not really sure mate
You want something minimalist, there are tons. Bellroy Transit, Minaal, Heimplanet, Arcido, etc.
They threw the kitchen sink into this bag! Seems to be a function over form type of bag.
I think the form is there... it's just not perfect.
@@Nomads.Nation yeah I gave this a second look today and will agree with that. Cheers!
If anyone has a Stasis sling in sienna color and is willing to sell, please reach out
Be sure to check the Nomads Nation Marketplace, might be one there
Too futzy for me
I had to Google that one lol, good word
Too many freaking features
Yea, it's a lot. But some people like that! I'm weird, I like a travel pack that is low on features, but an EDC that is feature-packed
