- Hey Guys! A few months ago the lovely people at Netflix sent me on a trip to Japan to go to the world's biggest Anime Convention called 'Anime Japan'. In this video I show you all the nerdy things I got up to at the con as well as my interviews with the voice actors Kenjiro Tsuda and Megumi Han. I didn't include the entire interviews because then the video would be around 1 hour long but if you'd like to see the rest of the footage then please let me know and I'll think of a way to release it.

What a great video - your enthusiasm was contagious! I loved the speaker who was talking about the various Japanese cultural elements that were in the animations and how it enhanced the experience for the viewers. I feel the same way about the Asian BL and lakorns that I've seen - and when I go to my neighborhood Thai restaurant and can say a few words in Thai to the staff, I feel like, for a moment, at least I'm transported into another world.
Send perth to a manga convention and it will be cool and funny for sure! The fabulous night part is obviously the funniest part to me and how shy perth can get but also the other stuff is so cool to see. So cool to watch perth interview the voice actors! So happy to see him in his fanboy version too. So cute.
Maybe I'll start to watch prince of tennis soon too.

It was so sweet for Tsuda-san to speak slowly and enunciate every word as clear as possible for Perth. Tsuda-san is so famous in Japan for many years and he can still maintain his humbleness as he doesn't have a clue of his massive popularity.

Have not been to a con in like a decade. They are great fun, but the lines! Fave part of the vid was the hosts making you shy. Bwahaha.
So cool the opportunities being a Japanese speaker gives you.- getting to interview voice actors! Also your Japanese is awesome. You seemed so natural onstage at Thai Festival Tokyo last weekend.
Also, is it even an anime event if it is not at Tokyo Big Sight? Lol.

Pluto is epic! The works of Naoki Urasawa all are, though Monster is still my top fave from him. For those who are not sure yet, the ones mentioned by Perth are all classics. Plus, Manben is a good watch, with how they show manga artists way of making their classic works, like Golgo 13, etc. My fan side is showing knowing that other appreciate these works as well. 😂

OOOOH Perth-kun you should definitely watch Tenipuri. It has an awesome storyline (sometimes bizarre but what manga doesn't)
It has some adaptations, including live action movie with Hongo Kanata. But the most appealing adaptation is probably the musical. It started back in 2003 and still running up until now, 4th season. There are lots of awsome actors graduated from Tenimyu. Some to mention is Shirota Yuu, Seto Kouji, Saito Takumi, Shison Jun, and Shiraishi JIn. My last following is 3rd season up until National part btw.

PERTH! I am so happy for you! I would totally fly just to meet Tsuda-san! I first heard him in Prince of Tennis and the rest is history! I am so happy you even got to interview him! Happy and jealous at the same time. The last seiyuu I met was Ono Yuki in Singapore! I pray that you get more opportunities like this! So cool!! Ok I should stop gushing now.
I share P'Perth excitement when he went around the anime booth! Wish could be there myself, it look awesome. Seeing the Voice Actor in person must be nerve wrecking, but great job!

Perth Prince of Tennis is my favorite anime of all time! It's so good it actually has a musical for it now! Also there's quite a few adaptions to it from different countries. It does start off a little slow but the build up is worth it! Definitely give it a watch!

And speaking of Fate grand order, I’m a huge fan, I’ve been playing it for almost 8 years. (that’s a commitment 😂)
The anime version are okay, it’s good to see some of the favorite moments from the game got visualized/animated but of coz there are a lot of things got deleted as well, but I’d say if you have never played the game, it’s definitely good to watch, especially those fighting scenes.

Had to hit the like right off the bat when you said it was your first con. I’ve only been to 1 in Seattle. It’s so fun to see someone else’s first
Now I want to go to an anime con! Crazy thing is, one of my students recommended Monster, since he knows I love anime. I’m watching it on Netflix right now. I’m about halfway through, so 30+ episodes to go. Took a break to watch this video 😂 It’s a sign. I must continue!

I worked at anime conventions in the US for about 10 years. The big name distributors booths are always insane- especially at the larger known conventions.

Honestly, Perth's smile is so bright & I always find myself smiling too!
