Happy Friday friends! Last week was Colt's birthday but we weren't playing any new songs because the kids were at camp. We pushed Colt's birthday pick to today. Colt usually picks a Grateful Dead song on his birthday and this time was no different except he snuck in two Dead songs! Happy belated birthday Colt. We couldn’t ask for a better husband/father! This is Colt Clark and the Quarantine Kids playing "Scarlet Begonias" / "Fire on the Mountain" by Grateful Dead.

Hello everyone! We're the Clark family. Colt (the dad) is a professional musician and Aubree (me, the mom behind the camera) is a photographer. Together we home school our three children. To keep busy during the shutdown we started learning and recording a new song every other day to share with our friends and family. We love playing music and spending time together as a family. Hopefully these songs brighten your day!

I was a drummer and I think this is the first time I have seem a stuffed animal taped to the base drum so the viewer can see the foot kicks. Such a great idea! Happy Birthday Colt!

@@AlWorth9738 You're right! I always find a way to have typos in my text. Yes it's bass drum not base drum. I do not think I have written the word bass drum since I played drums which was over 30 years ago. 🤣

well done guys and girls. many people don't realize just how difficult many of the Dead's songs are to play, one of my favorite bands ever (along with the Beatles)..thanks! I'd like to think mom got some dancing in there behind the camera.
Yeah, Cash makes his guitar parts look effortless (as does Beckett his drumming), but i noticed he seemed to be looking at the guitar more than usual and doing a lot more fingering than usual--and I know nothing about playing the guitar. I just know good music when I hear it!

There's a lot I love about this video. Teaching Bellamy about chord structure in terms of "Nashville Notation" is huge. That establishes the "box". The evoluition of your family band is truly impressive.
It always amazes me, watching Bellamy, how she constantly seems aware of what the rest of the band are doing at any given moment. She really seems to know the music, too. There are no surprises--whenever it's her cue to come in, she's always right there. She even proved once that she knows Beckett's drum parts as well as he does.

Oh my goodness! That was some intense healin’ going on there. Dead Heads are some of the most kind and generous people i’ve ever seen/met and, i’m positive they would be so happy to catch this post. You guys are just fantastic. After all this time, still bringing smiles to faces, tappin’ to toes and love to our hearts. Love & energy to you all, and a very happy birthday to you, Colt. Very impressive,,especially since those arent the easiest songs to learn. Cash money was especially impressive. But excellent job from everyone. Bellamy has really grown musically over the last year. Her confidence and concentration have really improved. Beckett is just Beckett,,,rock steady

I'm not half way through and holy cow! Bellamy has rocketed ahead with her bass playing lol. She's gone from three note boom-boom-boom, to a much more involved part here, and that is so cool to see!
And of course everyone else gives their all to the songs, which are fantastic as always 🙂
