He's always reminded me of Galactus, with that human mask, headpiece and armor. Great review, Dan!
The monster face looks so weak compared to others :(
The classics version at 7:40 really reminds me of Galactus with that blue and purple colour scheme.
Even as a kid, I laughed at this guy's name. I get it that his parents had a sense of humor, but it was cruel to make him go through junior high with a name like that. I would have just told kids, "Hi, my name is David. David Faces."
Him and Tri klops have always been my 2 favorite villains...
No "Comparison Time" with the New Day MOTWWEU figure?
I was born in the late 80s and missed out of motu hype and had to settle for syndication, flea markets, and yard sales. I still own all of them and man-e-faces & clawful were my 2 favorites. All I wanted with this new figure was a rotating head and they delivered. Longer legs looks weird compared to the original. But then again the original looks weird as well because they're both bent and shorter in length when compared to he-man's standard motu legs.
Awesome Dan i can't wait to get my hands on this one. A fun and cool story is my brother Jason got one in 1984 and many years later when i started collecting MOTU in 1998 my brother gave me his Man E Faces and it was awesome so winning Castle Grayskull of him in 1993 then getting Man E Faces was great. :)
That turning head is definitely one remarkable improvement from the original figure and the overall sculpt of this one is pretty much great 👌👏
Since his head is not removable, he should come with an alternate interchangeable top half that allows him to change from He-man to Orko to Skeletor. Similar to what they did for classics.
I love this guy! He was one of the first He-Man figures I had as a kid. Plus I still have him in my art room.
I love how the 2000x series gave him monster strength and the brain of a tactician

Definite influence from Mattel's Big Jim line of "Double Trouble" face changers. Also, Trap Jaw is the never made Big Jim villain Iron Jaw or Klappmaul for the European line.
do you ever wonder if Beast Man can control him? Okay I just watched the 2000x series and he can, Great episode by the way really recommend it.

Growing up, my brother and I were each into the vintage Masters of the Universe line. For the most part, he owned certain figures and I owned certain figures. There were two instances that we both owned a copy of the same figure. Man E Faces was one of those. The other was Mekaneck.
Perfect character to review on Halloween. Can’t wait to get him for myself at some point!
If I hadn't watched this review, I would've had a defective Man-E-Faces. Thankfully, Amazon offered to replace my figure so hopefully this one's head will turn unlike the figure I currently have. Thanks Dan
Have mine since one week or two, and I really love him. (It reminds me that vintage Man E Face was the first MOTU toy my parents bought me in the 80is) Origins Man E Face is probably the figure with the most changed design from its vintage counterpart. The very yellow skin, the blue instead of the pink on the head, the respiration system as well as the back of the head. It’s a very new Man E Face and I like it
Awesome. Would have loved to see him have a weapon or accessory for each face but still awesome.
That vintage man-e-faces has waaay more orange on the torso than mine

I think the monster face could do with a wash or something. I'm likely to take a Gundam marker to mine when I find it.
I too think the monster face is a little “off” compared to the others which are super close to the vintage. There isn’t enough definition in it. However, I’d prefer deeper cuts in the sculpt as opposed to a paint wash.
Yeah, same. But I'm willing to fiddle around with a paint wash.

You people need to understand that these figures are targeting kids and that that much detail isn't important to them.
Yeah. Great figure in all aspects. But I won't get 2 excited untill I c at Walmart and buy it. I won't pay the outreageous prices scalpers r charging.

I saw Man E. Faces perform live at the Hollywood Bowl Theatre. After all these years, he's still a great stage actor.
Man e faces can turn his head! Now we can say we are in the future. In 2009 we did'nt had that.

I missed out on the original masters series. I was into GI Joe. But I did get the 200X figures. Missed out on classics, but got the mega construx. I'm definitely going for the origins. Got the first wave minus adam. And currently looking for the second wave.

Mine has a hard time turning the knob on top of his head. Any way to possibly loosen it up somehow?
Nice review that gun is the filmation one I got this had worse paint issues he's bright

he's a great figure. not sure if you recorded your Trap-jaw review but his left arm is a slight retool of Man-e-Faces one .also I think a dark wash on that monster face would make it pop too

I'm going to paint the monster face when I get mine, looks a bit too bright. Really looking forward to them not being Wal-Mart exclusives.
Disappointing that his head isn't removable. Now Mattel can't make a separate head piece for him to swap in, like they did for Classics. Or it can't interchange with the WWE figure that has the same feature.
He said wave 2 is in retail stores now. What a crock of bull where are they then I haven't seen them besides wave 1. Why are we being told that you can find them in stores, but they are nowhere to be found.

The monster face badly needs paint. It looks much worse than the monster face on the 1980s figure. Painting the teeth probably would help.

Should be a Frankenstein like monster created by Skeletor and Evil Lyn. The monster for violence and the robot for cleverness. Think Adam from Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Scare glow is a waste of a much better character spot imo.
Those 2 faces look very disappointing as if the paint job was incomplete.
The orange makes it look like Donald Trump's skin color.
