I just watched the video Karen Harris did with this palette, and i told her the same thing: these looks are very 60s, and i think it is just as bold and dramatic, just in a different way from dark colors. I think it is a stunning and unique look. This palette should have been named "Retro", not the other one.
I just left a comment over at Karen's about how it looks so 60s especially with the hair down, and I'm now over Angie's comment section looking for others saying the same thing because I thought I was going crazy thinking the same about this 2nd look! Haha! I totally agree about the name, retro would have been a cute name for this but alas...
I feel like I'm the odd man out here in thinking that a pastel palette that has deepening shades would then make it no longer a "pastel palette". I feel like no matter how small someone's collection is everyone has a deep shade in another palette that they can pull from that can be used to deepen up the look you created with the pastel palette. If I'm buying a pastel specific palette I'd rather get more pastel shades and reach into another palette than a pastel palette that is in actuality only HALF a pastel palette bc it has deeper shades to make it more well-rounded. Hope that makes sense! I know how much you love darker looks, Angelica, and trust me.. you always look stunning in your usual style. However, the looks you created today are equally as gorgeous! Especially the 2nd one 😍 Thank you for yet another quality backed video!! Hope your upcoming weekend is a great one!
I dropped this palette on my hardwood floor today. All the little pans popped out. NONE of the eyeshadow broke. I drop a metallic colourpop palette on the ground and it is game over. I mean yeah the ND formula is like next level - but it is also sturdy as hell and I appreciate that! 😆
I've been watching a lot of reviews of this palette and you're the only one so far that does it like Natasha - placing/packing the shadow on, then blending the edges. I think this way seems to work best with the formula, especially the cream to powders :)
The shadows blend anyway completely if you do anything other than that method this isn't a good formula even the repeat shimmers are dull compared to the original versions. I returned this one.
Would you consider doing another video using this palette to create two other looks using it as a companion palette with two of her other midi palettes? I think it could be very useful for people to see the other ways it could be used. Thanks for another great video!!
When you said you had no makeup on at all I actually gasped. Your skin is absolutely gorgeous! Your natural straight hair is very pretty too. I ordered this, I should be getting it tomorrow.
oh man! i didn’t realize the pastel palette would be so similar to lost in LA! i ordered ND’s palette and am very excited, but i also have glamlite ice cream dream. i think i have a pastel problem 😆
Me too. I already have the Lost in Los Angeles, Pastel Pup, and the Midas pastel palettes, but I'll probably pick this one up in the VIB/Rouge sale. I have a deep sea fish complexion and I really love pastels, though.
@@AllTheHappySquirrels hello fellow pastel lover! how is the midas palette? they’re having a closing sale, and i thought about picking it up. i also would LOVE pastel pup! it had been sold out whenever i tried to buy it.
@@mus1quenonst0p I love all of my Midas palettes and I have almost all of them. Highly recommend! Flowerbomb is amazing and I'm tempted to pickup a backup since they're closing.
I was actually blind to that fact too 😆 I have the Lost in Los Angeles one and love it dearly but I should use it more... Guess after buying the ND one too, I have to wear A LOT of pastels this spring/summer 🙈
@@AllTheHappySquirrels i think it’s actually sold out. when i was on the site, i was going to pick it up, but it was gone. i doubt they’re restocking it, either :/
I would love to see a look of companion looks with this palette. But I know for me I’ve been waiting for the perfect pastel palette, I think this is ❤️♥️👌🏾.. Thanks! I love that you just understand how pastels are supposed to look. How about this palette and glam😍
This palette is so pretty, but I think I’m going to be good and skip it, at least for now, especially since I already have Lost in LA and should really just use that palette more. Thanks for the very helpful comparison swatches!
I’m so glad to see your review on this. I knew it wouldn’t be your vibe but I trust your opinion on quality. Also, I’ve been rocking an inner corner matte since you started recommending it
Thanks Angie 💙💜 I never wanted a pastel palette. Since Makeup Revolution bought BH Cosmetics, I've shopped like a wild woman. The Lost in Los Angeles is now one of my all time favs. It's utterly gorgeous, the neon quality of the pastels does something glorious to my look & mood 🥰💖
I'm gonna preface this by saying that I'm absolutely obsessed with pastels. I got it on the 11th, and I've been playing with it for every day (except one) since then. It is def not my favourite pastel palette. Not even close. The first problem I have with it is that there is almost no difference in depth. There is nothing super super light, nor is there anything deeper than mid-tone. And the shades that LOOK mid-tone (mostly cream to mattes) don't build up very well. IMO, it absolutely NEEDS a companion palette. If you're not super into colour, or you prefer more understated looks, AND you're quite pale, I think you might love the palette. It is very easy to do super blended, very understated pastel looks. It is NOT easy to do full, super colourful looks, IMO. I can make it work, on my skin tone (ghostly). For anyone deeper than medium, I think it would start to look like nothing applied, at best, or ashy, at worst. THE definitive pastel palette, IMO, is the Menagerie Pastel Pup. They are true pastels in almost every shade you could want, plus a very true matte white, and a very dark matte black. They ARE powdery, but they can really be built up beautifully, or toned down, if you apply them lightly, and blend really well. I can do almost anything I want with this palette, and the Blend Bunny Blends palette is great for some darkening shades. I was on the fence about the ND Pastels, but I have decided not to return it. I'm going to take it travelling, because they are pressed quite well, and are less likely to crack or crumble than most of my favourite indie shadows. They're more sturdy than most of my singles and palettes. For home use, I prefer mostly or fully matte palettes, so I can use my special indie singles. For travel, I want to bring as few palettes as possible. So, this, and maybe a couple JP 6-pans or Colourpop 9-pans (depotted and put into palettes), for deeper shades. I mostly don't want to bring my special indie singles anywhere, so having some sturdy shimmers in the ND palette would be nice! 👍🏻
Your technique is flawless. This is my first time using her shadows and I realized I had to pat them in and layer them on my darker skin but it came out beautifully
I love a matte inner corner as well 🤌🏼 I have quite a few NYX Jumbo Milk pencils that I use to highlight certain points of my face.. including my inner corner, my brow bone and my nose. I just use my finger to blot it out and I love it. I carry one in my purse, it’s so pretty! I have used it for years. And the black one is nice too for the lid to help with colors popping 😀😘😘😘😘
I think this is such a great palette and looks for spring. I really really like the second looks, it’s a nice change from the colorful looks you normally do, just a little something different (but I love all your videos, no shade at all!)
I have the Tropic palette where a couple of shades are exactly the same and the Linda Halberg/LH Cosmetics Spectral palette so I am looking for ideas here to recreate some pastel looks. You never disappoint and always create beautiful looks. Thanks for sharing.
The Lost In Las Angeles palette is my absolute favorite and I don't feel a need to replace it. HOWEVER, that pale, cool toned yellow is very unique and I have nothing like this color in my collection any longer. Years ago I had a shade similar to this in a single from Coastal Scents, which is no longer. A pale yellow that doesn't pull too gold or orange or strong, warm yellow is very hard to find! Beyond this one shade, the palette has a similar vibe to LILA. I'm in love with that one and don't feel a need to break up with her for the new girl. Lol
I own lost in Los angeles and I love it so I can’t justify buying the ND especially not knowing if it’ll feel worth it for the price tag since I hear her quality can be inconsistent
I LOVE PASTELS! But for me my Glamlite Ice cream dream is the perfect palette and I do not need another. But I love light pastel looks with no depth in spring/summer. It's so pretty and flirty with lots of mascara. It does look like a gorgeous palette.
You're the hero we need. It's definitely close enough to the bh lost in los Angeles that I don't need a ND price level palette. I already have the bh one and enjoy it, but it's not on high use rotation. Love your looks.
I love all the looks you made and I do enjoy just doing bright looks from time to time, so this is up my alley! But between some Lethal eyeshadows (especially Ascension!!! love it to death), your Hela palette (love the pastel yellow and pink so much!) and the Sunrise from ND, I think I'm covered. If I didn't have some of those, I would be very tempted!
So happy to wake up and see you posted a new video! Sometimes I forget you are posting on USA time now! 😂 I was waiting for this and when it showed up I couldn’t watch it because I was falling asleep! It was 1 am in the uk and I’m old! 😂😂😂😘
I've been wanting 1 pastel palette, but none of them quite hit the mark... until this one! I love the colors, the packaging, and that it's the midi size instead of full size. Mine!
I have recently learned if you use a white base first the colors pop so much more🤗 I would like to purchase this palette. It’s so different. Pretty for spring and summer.
I think everyone here has the Lost in Los Angeles because of you! I did think about getting the ND pastel palette but I'm not sure now seeing them together they're not dupes but are very similar. Your skin is absolutely beautiful, when you said you had no make-up on I was amazed! My skin on the other hand has been throwing some hormonal tantrums!
I just ordered this pastel palette along with the Circo Loco palette. I ordered from Beautylish & it shipped the same day. Wow! I'm excited. This is my 1st ND palettes.
I have a pastel to mid tone palette I used to hate it since it doesnt go deep enough but I used it like you do and liking it better. Been loving a lime green inner corner eye highlight
Loved it Angie, and loved your second t-shirt!!! It’d be amazing to see it performing together with circo loco and triochrome!!! And yeah, a very light matte inner corner is a game changer!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This palette is stunning but I already own the BH and Glamlite Ice Cream palette so I'll skip it...but I do love Natasha Denona ❤ Thank you for the review!
I agree with everything that you have said. I use my pastels as a companion. I have the BH Lost in Los Angeles palette. I also purchased the ND Triochrome palette on sale. I don’t know that I will pick this one up. I think I am set on pastels. I have a few in my Sydney Grace Tiny Marvels Mel Thompson palette, too. Thanks for the lovely video.
I left my laptop unattended for 5 minutes and when I came back, my cat was sitting on it and this video was playing (probably youtube just kept playing my related videos lol). The palette is so pretty but I feel like almost 70€ is way too much. I only have one mid size ND palette and I got it when Sephora Portugal was having a pretty big sale.
I have realized that what it comes to eyeshadows what I really like are things that are colourful without being dramatic. So a pastel palette like this couldn't be more at my alley and if I were in the market for a new palette I would probably buy this one. But at the moment, my makeup budget only gets to buy replacements. I have just bought a new foundation and that was an investment for me. If things go as planned next year things would be different and I would definitely come back to this palette if it's still available.
OK hear me out. I know you love a deep dark outer corner, but that first lavender look made you look like angel from heaven. I always deepen my outer corner too because I have major lid space like you. Im bought to try this.. The softer outer corner with focus on the bright inner eye made your eyes look, so big and bright.
i really do love the looks that you created, and i agree that it’s a great companion palette, and i’m looking forward to looks that you create with this in the future. i have and adore the “candy skies” palette so very much. 💙💙💙

yeeeaaaaj! :D

I freaking love these colors. I have the Lost in Los Angeles and I don't *adore* the quality. I'm hoping the ND is easier to work with.
I would love to see some companion palette looks. I would especially love to see a CircoLoco and pastel look.
Beautiful looks!! Would love to see you combine this with circo and trio 😍
i’ve been waiting for your opinion! thank you Angie! 🥰🥰
Can't wait to get mine, I don't own an all pastel palette and I have a pretty large collection! I collect Natasha Denona palettes as well so I decided to go with this one. I'd love to see looks pairing it with the Circo Loco
My pasty white eyelids are really looking forward to this one 🤣 I plan to wait until the Sephora VIB sale though
I have been wanting a pastel palette, but I've been leaning towards the ice cream dream. You do make it look tempting, though..... 💜. Love the purple look!
I really like your long straight hair :) You are right, Limoncello was in the Tropic palette.
