    Just for any folks watching this video, I followed along precisely this guy's process. Made actual ammo and 4 of the 10 I made were FTF's. Just because it goes pop does not guarantee ignition of the gun powder. I had to go to the dry method and actually fill the cup to the brim and then insert the anvil with the legs just protruding past the edge of the cup. Lightly brush off any excess. Put a drop of acetone in the primer before seating in the brass to insure safety while inserting. I then made 100 of these and had a 96.6% success ratio. Had the same results making LRP's.

    I made some with cap gun caps. The ring type. I would crush the stuff into a fine powder by rolling it wrapped around some notebook paper like a taco and pour it in a clear plastic container. I use 90% isopropol alchohol to wet the powder in the primer, place the anvil in it and let it air dry. I fill the compound about half the internal height of the "cup" inside and let the excess compound come out when its drying with the anvil. I recommend it. Dont forget its corrosive !

    I would say this method is the safest and most efficient tool free method I've seen thus far and I am truly impressed. This eliminates the dust factor which is a very serious health concern.
    You're dealing with Potassium Chlorate which is a toxin and worse still the black material is Antimony Trisulfide which is a sensitizing agent and is very very toxic via inhalation, absorption through the skin or ingestion. Antimony Trisulfide is no joke. Don't fuck around with this in any form without PPE and don't open/handle it in a living/eating area. Your off limit shed/shop only.
    Also a little addition of extra fine or german dark aluminum powder will add a significant incandescent effect, similar to #9 1/2 primers for slow/hesitant powder. It won't make the primers any more or less likely to detonate, it'll just boost their effect when they do detonate.
    I'm going to take what you've shown here and thicken the ratio in suspension just a tad, add aluminum powder as a booster and try this with a few hundred #11 caps. I'll follow on in a few weeks or less with a report.

    Good vid. To get 30 out of 30 you should mix some sort of bonding agent in with the acetone. I use shellac, and am experimenting with alcohol/lacquer now. I found this out after loading a bunch of 30 round magazines up, and having way more issues the deeper I got into the mag. I assume the recoil is causing the prime all to chip away, till not enough or any can ignite.

    Great video, So did you mix all the bags together then funnel it in the dropper bottle? How'd you mix it on some paper or in like a glass jar? Also have you tried this in small rifle yet like 223?? Thanks

    • @easttennesseetacticalarms6831
      @easttennesseetacticalarms6831  3 роки тому +1

      In a glass jar acetone first its safer that way. And no I have not tried it in in rifle primers yet but I dont see any reason it wouldn't work

      Aslo that was the entire package. I made sure the ratio was was correct I didn't just dump them all together

    I wet tumbled 500 45ACP cases with live Primers in them accidentally. Needless to say the water came out very green😉 if you’re interested I have them all nice and clean and never fired (no striker hits , might save you a stop or two?

    Prime-All website states, "Loads approximately 2000 rounds (22lr)." Is that sound correct to you?!? Looks like you would get a lot more. Also, what size Dropper Bottle is that...4oz?

      I started saving several months ago, i may have more LP than i need. Might be a way to mail them to ya or po box or something if you can pm me somehow. Should be able to catch up easily on your own, tho. Can't safely store them long term anyway from the sound of it.

    What is your ratio of acetone to compound mix give or take?

  • @jimwins2
    @jimwins2 3 роки тому +1

    How much acetone to how much primer powder. No sealer on top of the powder and how long do you let them dry before firing ?

    • @easttennesseetacticalarms6831
      @easttennesseetacticalarms6831  3 роки тому

      About 1-1.5 oz to that entire package of compound. I am experimenting with sealers and will do a updated video on it. And it dries within a few seconds but I say about 1hr before starting loading with them

    Your math is wrong. 3 failing out of 30 is not 1%. Its 10%. That's 1 out of 10. Still, the wet method seems to be getting better results than what most people are reporting with the dry method. Also had a bigger flash than what I've seen in other videos. Sure do wish someone would shoot actual completed cartridges.

    yes it's still very hard to buy them small & large primers I think that's what they do so people can't buy them and the smokeless powder making very hard to buy the government so we can not reload . now they are controlling everything in reloading.
