Just for any folks watching this video, I followed along precisely this guy's process. Made actual ammo and 4 of the 10 I made were FTF's. Just because it goes pop does not guarantee ignition of the gun powder. I had to go to the dry method and actually fill the cup to the brim and then insert the anvil with the legs just protruding past the edge of the cup. Lightly brush off any excess. Put a drop of acetone in the primer before seating in the brass to insure safety while inserting. I then made 100 of these and had a 96.6% success ratio. Had the same results making LRP's.

Late to the party but here-goes... I grew up with the M60 from 10yo (1987) and I've always wondered how to take that specific component action apart. Never chose to go further than just the factory tear-down. Yes that pin can also be hammered out. But I found your information far more interesting and useful. Later in life I did replace the buffer in a Marlin Camp-9. But that buffer is not captured in the same component that also houses the assy providing a spring for the hammer. It was far more comfortable to do in other words. Anyhoo, great video. 👍 Curious tho if (what looks to be) a tube mag-mounted sling mount is a good idea. There's not alot of strength in both outer and inner tubes. The factory stock still has the factory slings mounts so hopefully no one is using that other mount.

Thanks learned something new. I have a 2nd gen model 60 thats developed a feed problem. Everything looks and feels right but the round overshoots the barrel and jams. Ejection is not always affected. Any suggestions?

yes it's still very hard to buy them small & large primers I think that's what they do so people can't buy them and the smokeless powder making very hard to buy the government so we can not reload . now they are controlling everything in reloading.

Tactical Scorpion is an absolute horrible company. I would do business with Warner Bros Acme company before them ever again.I purchased two 6-in gong targets,I have never received them. They blamed me saying I was just trying to get them for free... Tactical Scorpion is a joke of a company

My recoil buffer is cracked so I will be doing this soon. The only issue I've had with the model 60 is feeding. It alway fed CCI mini mags and stingers just fine but federal and some others it just dont like. It seems that the recoil spring is too strong and the weaker rounds just can't send the bolt back far enough.

What height is your work table top? It seems like the Inline Fabrication mount puts the press at a good height to see what you’re doing, especially when closely inspecting to observe powder.

Jfc cant find any video where someone tests .556 green tip. Whichbisbthe only thing it really needs to stop. Found multiple videos of people saying they test .556 but they dont ahow the shots or specify if its green tip/steel penetrator. Im wanting to buy the 3+ steel plates thatvare for some reason thinner than the regular level 3 steel. It says that the level 3+ stops green tip. Why not show it. Their site i believe also says level 3 will stop green tip. But cant find any actual proof. Can find vid of peopel testing pe plates but not the steel especially the 3+ steel

There is a lot of good information here, and the resolution and clarity are visually excellent. I do have concern about using household screwdrivers to do gunsmithing. Eventually, it always leads to damaged screwheads Which are visually unappealing and significantly reduce value of the gun. When removing those screws your screwdriver was slipping and sliding all around, which could have resulted in scratching the reciever. A proper fitting gunsmithing bit for the driver would avoid that. They are worth the money. Otherwise an excellent video. Im glad to see other people such as yourself appreciate Marlin rifles. I have a model 99 (samething as the 60, but with black walnut stock), and a 39A.
