The negotiatied an extra 25k to put towards the business. Lori knew that and probably already had that number in her head.
They got the royalty down to .75 cents. Smart if you ask me.

@@shoansnoday1768 No they didn't. They still have to pay this 100k back. Just because royalty went down to 75c does not mean they saved $25k. They just pay it back slower. Sometimes I wonder how this comment section is so clueless about simple things.

These two have the best comedic moments.
The guest shark is right, almost no one is gonna ditch their current yoga mat to buy this. The exercises they did can also be used without the mat, so I don't really see a point besides the convenience of folding nicely.
They could have accepted the inicial offer (100k for 15% + 1$ royalty), and as soon as the money had been recouped, Lori would have to bring equity down to 10% or less... it would have been a smarter move.

I agree, but Manduka which is what I have is 130-160 (which is ridiculous) but when I saw this it didn’t look lasting, since the material was pinched together, and that normally rips. I prefer a regular yoga mat.

I worked with her. She worked for a tech dental startup as an account executive, pitching clients all day. The company creates and sells dental software from managing patients in office, to payments and billing, and handling booking of appointments online. So no, not a front desk clerk. Very smart and quick on her feet. Proven in sales

The first one threw out worked in “startups my whole career.” When that is used on this show it means lots of different things but most commonly when talking about non-traditional innovative/disruptive businesses. I don’t think anyone was expecting her to say restaurants and dentists as in probably local one location traditional businesses.

Could someone explain the logic of giving away more of the company than the initial royalty offer? Also, whether it is $1 or .75 cents royalty until $100k is paid off, surely over time it works out the same? I don't understand the logic.

I am a Crossfitter and though this mat may have some merit, in reality its a total waste of money. Those "extra" benefits that they talk of for triceps, push ups etc is just not going to work with those who are serious with their workouts - these guys will always do it on a proper machine. This is just another piece of totally unwanted accessory for gym goers. Unbelievable Lori even offered something.
