The obvious problem with most of these sodas is that they simply can't compete with just buying the soda and adding a shot of half-decent vodka. Some of the sodas like the "best damn" root beer are brewed to actually make a unique old beverage. Whether or not that's what you like, it's different. But something like orange soda is just orange flavoring and carbonated water and malt alcohol will never be as good in there as a splash of liquor.
True - but if you're going to a BYO restaurant, like a Mexican, this is ideal. They most likely won't have orange soda for you to buy, and you arent going to bring a flask of vodka. These 24/25 oz cans of product have their place. Bringing them home isn't one of them.
I was going to say this is just a repackaged Bud Light Seltzer Orange Hard Soda until you read the calorie count. I wouldn't say make your own in this case, because these 24/25 oz singles are meant to be taken to restaurants and events. Plus vodka destroys CO2.
