Thank you for making this video! I grew up in a time when girls did housework and only boys learned tools and outdoor chores. I would be lost without simple videos like this showing me the basics!
@@RollingThruLife Same with me! Couldn't figure out how to get the sand paper on even after reading the instructions. Your video was a fantastic help! Thanks a million!
This is so helpful! So much better than having to read those cryptic instructions. I’m surprised at how many women commented here. I also grew up kind of learning that women don’t do carpentry, but at some point it just dawned on me how dumb it is to have to live with obnoxious little home issues that should be a quick fix. It feels great to do this stuff myself! There’s a lot I don’t know, however, so I love videos like this - you don’t assume I’m an expert at this! Thank you 💕
@@RollingThruLife You’re a hit with the ladies! Haha! I just sanded this gross old door down to it’s beautiful original wood & am preparing to finish it. Thanks for the help!
Thank you for the video and explaining how to put the sandpaper sheets on. I’ve had my sander for a few years and lost the instructions and was getting very frustrated until I found your video. So thank you very much!!
I bought one of these about 4 months ago and had the same issues with the rubber pad wearing down. It also melts and sticks to the sandpaper after extended use. They do sell a replacement pad assembly for around $10 on Amazon. Although cheap to begin with, you will be changing these pads out down the road. As a comparison, I bought a similar Makita years ago (20+), used it extensively and NEVER had this problem. It finally broke and I bought the B&D to replace it. Big mistake! My recommendation is you get what you pay for! Headed out now to buy something better...
I just got this sander today. On my first sheet of sand paper the rubber pad has melted in the middle and stuck to the paper. One hour of use maybe! Going to need a better quality of rubber pad.
Going to look at this sander. I am just now getting a few tools for my new wood craft ideas and so needing a sander. Thank you for this information very helpful.
Hi. Nice video. What is the exact model number please? On Amazon the closet thing im seeing is a BDeqs300 orbital sander. Also for sanding interior on ceilings (porch) and window molding and room divider arch what is the best type of sander? Palm, Orbital, Random orbital? So many articles with conflicting info. Or would we more than one type for the different projects mentioned? Thanks.
Thanks! at the 9 second mark, on the box it says bdeqs300. Same as you mention. Yea I see it says orbital on Amazon, but the pictures of item are the square same as mine. Maybe they stopped making it and now only orbital. man your shoulders will be burning up doing a ceiling! I never used a round/orbital so can't compare but I believe they pretty much do same job
Are you sanding ceiling just to smooth or are you removing paint? If removing paint, that's a big job with this small sander, be better off spraying and then scrapping.
I have same model. Worked well til the dust outlet cracked and a pinky nail peice fell in and keep motor from spinning. Now trying to figure out how to take apart
OK ... I didn't exactly bald the wood but it is enough to get the first coat on ... click here to my facebook page if ya wanna see it facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn
This video saved me from throwing this thing in the river and I don't even live anywhere near a river. With the instructions included I absolutely could not understand how to put the paper on. I'm not a stupid person, I follow instructions and assembly all kinds of furniture. The instructions with this sander were completely useless. I also find the sander to be incredibly loud. I'm sure my neighbors are like "what is she doing now!"
It was a hand me down and I was going to try it (now I know why my mom never used it lol). The manual is NOT user friendly. It has 2 picture steps that dont show clip handling, Though I assumed It was teh use of them I was afraid to break something if wrong. And the sheets in the caryall... are same size as the pad..... probably for a dif model. Thank You for posting this. Though I think I may use my bigger sander first anyway
it wont suck everything in, but...did you press the sander with the paper attached down onto the plastic tray so that it pokes the holes through the paper? 2:17 mark on vid, through the holes is how dust is sucked in

Very helpful. I couldn’t figure out how to get the sandpaper on 🤦🏽♀️. So thank you!!!!!
ITS Tricky, glad it helped
Great sander, you can attach a vacuum hose to the end of the dust collection nozzle with an attachment and it will suck up the dust more efficiently.
thanks for tip

The rubber backer pad is a BIG problem with this model sander. It is impossible to find an exact replacement, and other ones you try aren't cheap.
it does wear out over time
Did you ever find the part? I am searching for it and can't find it!
not sure what you mean?
Thanks a lot, I'm going to buy one
What type of screwdriver can remove the screws that hold the backing pad?
off hand not sure
Thank you for the detailed video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. Simple and informative! 👍🏽😊
your welcome!
Thank you. This was very helpful.
Glad it helped thanks
How do you change the pad? I took the screws off and I can’t get the pad loose.
not sure, never did, mine is worn down also.
I cannot get the pad off either
I just got it off. Twist it and it comes off from the bearing but looks expensive to replace
I guess, it has no speed control.
Can we sand plywood?
no it doesn't.sure
thank you for this video!!
Will this sander take old paint off of fence straight up and down
sure, works at any angle, even upside down
Cannot suck the dust into dust bag please help me bro

So it can work for cars?
I know nothing about bodywork on automobiles so I can't answer
No man you want a polisher.... unless your talking about wet sanding in which case I don’t think this will work. Just my 2 cents
