You know, this is probably all thing considered, the least destructive 106 containment breech the foundation has ever experienced. Yes, they lost MTF members, but considering the usual amount of casualties that happens when 106 leaves his containment chambers, this was surprisingly light. Hell they didn't even need to break a D-class's femur!
This is the least destructive 096 breach. Every time he gets out it's towns getting wiped out. I feel like this is underselling 096. The guy has wolverine bones in the article. Being reduced to a skeleton by gun and fire and bombs the skeleton didn't fall apart but kept attacking and regenerating flesh while at it. I really don't see 106 being able to stop 096 except by kicking him out of his world. Unless 096 physical damage was unable to harm 106, then it would probably end like it did with 682. 096 having a break down and clawing his own face off. Also 096 should have at least tried to eat 106 like he does everyone else. Especially if he was capable of pounding him and grabbing on.

Here's an idea: You know how the Foundation cross tested SCP-076 (Able) with SCP-682 (Hard to Destroy Lizard)? Why not cross test 076 with the Old Man, instead? Think about it. Able could withstand far greater torment than any normal human, and he'd probably appreciate 106's ability to kill. Given his pain tolerance and pride, it would take a lot of effort for 106 to get the reaction he wants out of 076-2. They might be able to keep each other busy for quite a while.

Also yes Able is regularly terminated....but not easily. Its not like a few bullets take him down and I'd argue his speed, weaponry, and more importantly experience in combat will allow him to last quite a while. Note I'm not saying a victory, he'll lose but if anything it won't be an easy one and done fight Able *wants* to be pushed, hell he wants to be defeated if anything. Then he'd having to a reason to better his own methods of combat. He's practically Goku, without the flashy awesome obvious power ups. I mean from this video alone the idea of his prey actually fighting back gives us some insight on 106's style of combat, he doesn't do great against other anomalies actually willing to fight back if they have considerable strength and a lack of fear along with durability. Watching this, knowing the rage is still in full swing but it just becomes a blind rampage... all the Old Man has to do is see 096s face, and then dip into his dimension. *096 would then rampage indefinitely, regardless of who'd seen his face, since the original viewer hasn't been killed yet*
Pretty sure after a few videos we've learned that 096 (after some time, or after being killed) will actually eventually give up and go back to it's dormant state. Such as with SCP 343/ (God)

Well if it's based on anything scientific, most corrosive materials are contained in plastics because it counter acts the corrosive effects such as certain acids. It could be that the mucus is some form of acid, so it could make sense that while it melts through metal and stone, it doesn't have an effect on the dropper.

SCP-106 had the absolute audacity to break out just to find something that was in the facility. I bet if the foundation was smart they would have already tried a SCP-106 versus SCP-096 fight.
106 doesn’t necessarily just straight up kill anyone or anything, not quickly anyway. Because that’s not fun for him. Yet, he never shows any form of remorse. While “Shy Guy” 096 straight up quickly murders folks. But then, acts remorseful each time. Very opposite of each other, the dynamic is very noticed. Sure, they are both SCP anomalies and significant beings of unknown origins. But, that’s where their similarities stop.

The glass is able to hold high amounts of corrosive substances/acids for a prolonged amount of time, but it'll still need to be replaced every now and then.
Can I just say how OP some SCP's are? Like, its the same thing every time, super dangerous SCP, everyone is scared, it escapes, nobody can kill it because it has biiiiiiig super powers and cannot die, kills 200+ people and then gets put back in containment. Its why I adore the plague doctor, he is dangerous, but cooperative, and not too OP, like 682 or 106.
What impressed me here was that the touch of the old man did not affect SCP 096, it is incredible that SCP 106 voluntarily went to his cell of his own accord reflecting on what happened that even SCP 096 can regenerate
Here's an idea for the old man's containment. Put his and shy guy's cells as close as possible and line the outer perimeter of it with screens that would display 096's face in the event of a breach attempt. Even if it doesn't drain all of his sadistic wants, it'll either tire him or put him out of it enough to significantly minimize the subsequent massacre.

Has Abel ever met 106? Don't figure Abel would really have a chance, at least for round one, BUT ... The endurance of Abel should keep him busy a little longer than an average human, and Abel would be REALLY pissed in later meetings. Cain might just really get him off for a little while.
Containment idea for 106: suspend him in the air using something like those air jets in indoor skydiving rooms. No touchable walls to melt through, and the corrosive mucus could be siphoned away before it corroded the infrastructure. With enough technology tracking his movement, the jets could be adjusted so that no matter which direction he rolled in, he would remain suspended in the air. This hypothetically should render his speed, regeneration, and ability to move through walls useless. Thoughts?
I love that we actually got a side story from when those three tussled! I didn't expect that. Also this proves that 096 can be dissuaded to give up shockingly. You just need to be a superhuman, dimension hopping psychopath to live it....Yeah I don't think even in the SCP world there's that many of those...Pity.
if only 096's skeleton will remain, and no connective tissue, can't the foundation lock each bone in a separate box and toss them into the ocean? If the skeleton is separated, than maybe he can't regenerate into the full 096.

Why don't they try some extermination attempts on 106 as he is clearly a massive detriment amd doesn't seem as resistant as 682. They should try some of the same methods they used on the indestructible reptile.
I don't know why they don't set up an individual containment site just for him in a very remote area, perhaps deep underwater like Cain, with a permanent skeleton crew of only a few MTFs and a couple of D class.

106 doesn’t necessarily just straight up kill anyone or anything, not quickly anyway. Because that’s not fun for him. Yet, he never shows any form of remorse. While “Shy Guy” 096 straight up quickly murders folks. But then, acts remorseful each time. Very opposite of each other, the dynamic is very noticed. Sure, they are both SCP anomalies and significant beings of unknown origins. But, that’s where their similarities stop.

The glass is able to hold high amounts of corrosive substances/acids for a prolonged amount of time, but it'll still need to be replaced every now and then.

Can I just say how OP some SCP's are? Like, its the same thing every time, super dangerous SCP, everyone is scared, it escapes, nobody can kill it because it has biiiiiiig super powers and cannot die, kills 200+ people and then gets put back in containment. Its why I adore the plague doctor, he is dangerous, but cooperative, and not too OP, like 682 or 106.

What impressed me here was that the touch of the old man did not affect SCP 096, it is incredible that SCP 106 voluntarily went to his cell of his own accord reflecting on what happened that even SCP 096 can regenerate
Here's an idea for the old man's containment. Put his and shy guy's cells as close as possible and line the outer perimeter of it with screens that would display 096's face in the event of a breach attempt. Even if it doesn't drain all of his sadistic wants, it'll either tire him or put him out of it enough to significantly minimize the subsequent massacre.

Containment idea for 106: suspend him in the air using something like those air jets in indoor skydiving rooms. No touchable walls to melt through, and the corrosive mucus could be siphoned away before it corroded the infrastructure. With enough technology tracking his movement, the jets could be adjusted so that no matter which direction he rolled in, he would remain suspended in the air. This hypothetically should render his speed, regeneration, and ability to move through walls useless. Thoughts?

if only 096's skeleton will remain, and no connective tissue, can't the foundation lock each bone in a separate box and toss them into the ocean? If the skeleton is separated, than maybe he can't regenerate into the full 096.

In most stories, the skeleton stays together, even without the skin attached, so this sadly isn't an option

Why don't they try some extermination attempts on 106 as he is clearly a massive detriment amd doesn't seem as resistant as 682. They should try some of the same methods they used on the indestructible reptile.
