Okay... Just wanted to know if the site i was being referred to was legit. I am already your customer and in any case i ll also purchase this package. Thanks for the reply.
M3R has an architecture similar to sy85, one osc in prog/voice, it can emulate m1 using combi mode but need to save two programs for an m1 preset, the engine is the same and fx too. the advantage over m1 is newer waveforms not present neither in m1ex and more compact dimensions.
@@SDVY-Stevieno beacuse polyphony is same as M1, 16 oscillators. m1/t3 has in program mode single or dual oscillator mode (which korg retains still today) so in m1 single mode programs have 16 notes full polyphony, whereas double osc programs have 8 not 16, because polyphony is counted as oscillators not "notes". In m3r the only way to get a dual osc sound is layering two programs in a combi, but this requires also to save two different programs whereas m1 saves a single program with one or two osc mode.

God damn. These old modules really had some unique richness and warmth in their sounds.

So two programs layered will halve polyphony? It’s like a slimline 8 voice M1?

@@kyma1999x that’s a really good explanation! Thanks for taking the time to do so.

Beautiful sounds! No M3R in my hands though.
The Burr Brown OP-amps in korg M3r provides the fat good sound =)
Korg M3R or Roland J 1010
