We've been long overdue for a recipe video, so today we're sharing what we eat in a day as a plant-based family of four, with an emphasis on what the kids eat. Let's face it, babies and toddlers can be difficult to please, but we've gotcha covered with some of our most delicious and nutritious, kid-friendly recipes! We love starting the day with juice or smoothies, oats, and fresh fruit, snacking on muffins and other baked goods, and a quick simple lunch like pasta with red sauce. Dinner is the main event, and we absolutely live for our vegan lentil quinoa tacos with all the fixin's! Hope this gives you some healthy inspiration for your family!

Generally speaking I don’t support parents making their babies vegan out of principal. I know way too many kids who are malnourished, develop slower and are overall smaller than their peers because of veganism. So when this video popped up in my recommended I was beyond sceptical… but all I can say is GOOD JOB. The nutrition focused approach, the varied ingredients and the overall appeal of your meals is everything! Genuinely wish every parent would have the willpower to take this much time and effort into making their kids meals after deciding to follow a plant based diet.

Thank you for all the meal ideas, especially those approved by toddlers! I've been meaning to make your cherry chocolate oats, its looks delicious. Also I got your book with the bundle: the waffles and the buckwheat pancakes became a staple in my freezer. They are both delicious, quickly made, freeze perfectly and my toddler loves them both with cashew butter and maple syrup. So please do keep us updated about children approved (wfpb of course) meals! I agree, I give my littles small portion of our protein powder, it adds great flavor and they enjoy eating their fruits and veggies more! Plus it gives that a little protein to help them feel satisfied and balance the meal too!

I prefer smoothie bowls too and feels like I’m eating ice cream. I usually make min at night, put it in the freezer and take it to work the following day for my breakfast.
Yum yum and yum. Thank you for some more recipes to add to our mix up. We always do “Taco Tuesday” with some sort of Mexican themed dinner and I’ve been wanting to try walnuts in the mix.

I love pasta with red sauce too. I blend spinach, carrots, mushrooms and any other veggies I have with crushed tomatoes in my cuisinart and cook for 18 minutes in the instant pot with spices of course. Delicious! Someone told me the carrots help with the acidity in red sauce that some people struggle with. I just love packing as many veggies in the sauce that I can - especially the ones I don’t like, like mushrooms and zucchini.

We love those Elk cups too! Just got the 12 oz 4 pack of bright colors-orange, yellow, blue and green, for smoothies mainly. Great recipes!! Also those are the organic tortillas we get in one of our organic food boxes that’s delivered. As well, there’s another good brand but forgot the name. Also, LOVE siete products! Try their taco seasoning, yum!!! (The little sweetener in it is from dates ☺️)
Everything looks delicious! I have found I get so sleepy after eating oatmeal for breakfast. I googled and found oats are rich in melatonin. I since have had to eat my daily oats snd blueberries for a night snack

It’s the Nama J2juicer and it is phenomenal!!!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Super easy to use and clean!!! I had a Champion…. then an Omega( which I loved) and I said I would not buy another until I needed to. BUT then this one kept showing up……. So I bought it. I am so LOVING it and you will also.💕

Thanks for all the recipes! can you tell me why we should get unfortified nutritional yeast? wouldn't the extra fortification be good? I've heard others in the wfpb community say to get unfortified as well but I'm not clear on the why.. Are the sun warrior powders fortified or unfortified? Thanks for any clarification you can provide!😊
Nutritional yeast is already naturally high in B vitamins, protein and iron. The fortification includes folic acid, which is a synthetic form of folate (one of the b vitamins) and is associated with negative health implications. It is also fortified with B12, which would be a good thing, but it’s better to just obtain through supplementation. No, SunWarrior is not fortified. Another thing to look out for with nutritional yeast is MSG.
I have been looking for a clean version of nutritional yeast, it's hard to find! Have you tried the sun warrior brand? Everything looked so good, can't wait to try the tacos!

I've been a subscriber for years. I'm plantbased and I use several nutritional yeast that doesn't state that they're fortified. But whenever you speak of the one you use you make it seem as if it's the ONLY one that's non fortified so my question to you is do you know if other brands are actually fortifying their Nutritional Yeast without indicating it on the package?
If it contains folic acid or B12 on the nutrition facts, then it is fortified…it should also always show added “fortified” ingredients on the ingredients list

We don’t rely on plant milk as our primary source of calcium, there is more in green leafy vegetables, beans, tofu, nuts and seeds

Eatmoverest-TheStanksys are you a nutritionist at all regardless I could use some pointers and meal ideas on my current health situation I have been told I have Ibs and a possible gallbladder issue I'm not sure 100% what's going on but I've been sick and unable to eat drink etc 2 weeks I still can't eat or drink much any advice is appreciated thank you Erin
